No Gerry at practice, wooooooooooooooooooohooooooooooooooooooooooo

Sucks they don't disclose the guys on IR who are practicing.

Good to see K'Von back. Caplan was making it seem like he would be out multiple weeks on Monday.

Am I crazy or did we not have Daryl Worley in camp last year? Didn’t we trade someone for him then cut him?

He if i remember correctly got arrested and was then released. But that was Daryl morey not Worley.

Daryl Morey is the guy the 6ers hired today.

Eihorn is Finkle. Finkle is Eihorn.

My concern with JP at LT is once he gets his grubby mits on it, he won't let go until he gets injured again.  Mailata, for better or worse, is part of our future and needs quality snaps.

Agreed, its a concern the team will just let him do what he wants. But I'm giving them until Driscoll or Johnson returns before I rip them.

Looking like no sanders this week then?

That’s what my assumption is. I figured they’d just give him three weeks off including the bye.

The only realistic options are playing Mailata, Pryor or Peters at RT. One isn't a RT. One has been a LT for over a decade. One has trained to be a swing tackle. Who are you picking?

Also Dillard played football for years exclusively at LT is what made it a bad idea. Mailata has practiced and played preseason games at RT. I don't see why this is so confusing.

Its really not confusing me, its pretty straight forward.  Im almost always of the opinion that you leave as much in place as possible, especially along the OL.  One injury doesnt have to lead to a domino effect

Play JP at RT if you want to get creative. Let Mailata continue to work over there considering he could be at that position for the next 10 years

From a visual standpoint, that is the ugliest uniform matchup I've ever seen.  Add in the "gradient" endzone and so much yuck.

Seems like it. You would think he would be at least LP after a long week if he was going to try to play

JJAW for Quinnen

If it’s DiNucci on Sunday, this has to be the Luke Falk Jets game from last season. Total chaos and destruction. The team this season hasn’t earned me feeling this way or to have that expectation, but I’m tired of these close games.

I think that would make sense but for Peters’ experience and what seems to be the coaching staff’s belief that Mailata will do better on the right side.

Chill.  This configuration is probably just for one game.

Either Lane or Driscoll should be back at RT for the Giants in week 10.

It's then you need to ask whether they move JP to RG and Mailata back to LT.

I wouldn't be so sure if I were you. JP tends to get what he wants.

When Peters gets hurt, Mailata bounces back to LT and looks terrible after not practicing out there all week, and God knows who looks horrible at RT after not practicing there all week, don't call it bad luck or act surprised.

So.... middle of the 2nd quarter in his first game back?

You can’t really believe that Peters won’t stay at LT (if he plays Sunday and doesn’t get hurt) when Lane cones back after the bye.
It’s the Eagle way. Leave Mailata there IMO, it’s 1 game they’ve been playing musical chairs all season. Figure it out.

Dillard never even took a single rep at RT before they gave him one week of practice. Mailata has had months. It's nothing alike.

Dillard has been playing football since pee wee football.

Mailata has been playing for 2 years.

You're right, it's nothing alike.

Don't post that reddit garbage.  This is your first and only warning.

What does years have to do with anything? One guy never played or practice at RT besides 1 week. One guy did it for months.

It's this easy. He spent his first TC at LT. The next two he was at RT. If you count all his reps from three TC's and the last few games its either 50/50 or he took more reps at RT.  Dillard had one week of practice compared to his entire life. Probably 1% of his reps were at RT.

I have a glimmer of hope he'll just go back to RG/LG and shut up.

I think a lot of people are underestimating how bad starting Toth or even Peters at RT would be. It would probably be equal to or worse than Dillard at RT.

Guessing no one claimed Anthony Rush or it would be out there by now. He'd be an obvious PS add if that's the case.

Nothing with this team is obvious to me anymore.  There is no reason to have Peters in at LT.  None.

Since I am of the opinion that it is Dillard, rather than Mailata, who should be considered the "left tackle of the future", I believe that Mailata's future is at right tackle.

Obviously Dillard's development, as well as the play/health/salary of Lane Johnson, factors into this heavily. So Mailata could easily end up on the left side again.

But wouldn't it be great if the Eagles actually picked our bookend tackles for a decade with back-to-back selections at the tail end of the '18 draft and the first round of the '19 draft? Isn't that what we WANT?
