He’s a cut in my book. No way he has trade value. Rip off the bandaid as far as I’m concerned.

I’m at the point just get to Tuesday when no one trades for him and just release him after that. Move on at that point.

If Jackson practices all week then I think he’s going to play as well. Plus I think the Eagles view curry and Graham being able to play some snaps on the inside and put Barnett and sweat as the two defensive ends helps with them having to make a decision at defensive tackle

Yea really depends on Jackson. We’ll see.

Adam Caplan did say that they really like Williams, so they may call him up to see what he can do, and if he does well they can add him to the roster. But that's not as much about having the fourth DT as it is protecting a player who might turn into something.

We talking about AJ ?

Yeah

Doug needs to tell him no. Him being in and out of the lineup hurts the team way more. Sit for this week, then you have the bye. Come back in two weeks in much better condition.

Scott is so small lol

God I hope reagor has over 100 yards in this game so I don't have to hear the people on this board whine about him for another week. I know they're waiting to scream "sEe we sHoULd hAvE dRAfTEd jeFfeRSoNzZzZ!1!1!!1!"

No way the Cockroaches can guard goedert reagor hightower fulgham and ward all day, guys should be running free all day

We're in for an interesting week. Dallas week with Luke Falk Game™ potential. A definitive decision on Alshon likely to be made. What happens at LT? Trade deadline.

It depends on how our OL plays though. If the OL holds up, then you are right.

I think Malik Jackson is salivating to get into the lineup to play against a depleted OL and third string QB.  The guys on the DL probably see $$$ signs

Is Malik going to be healthy to play?

tonights game should be a snoozefest.

Unless you live in NC or Georgia.

Or someone like me saying "I told you so”.  Don’t worry, I’ll wait for the end of the year.

I'm glad you're proud of your hope in seeing our players fail. And you're always in here crying about fake fans lmao

I'll be missing it on purpose, as I do all Thursday Night games that don't involve the Birds.

Yup... those mornings suck.   But, they suck a little less after a Win over Dallas.  Let's hope...

Not about football

Panthers and Falcons are really regional teams. There's not a lot of interest outside of their area

That is the smart way to go.  Rest Johnson this week and give him time to heal up.

Nah, get him out there if he can play. Need the Win. 2 weeks isn’t gonna make all his aches and pains go away.

Hehe, why start now?

Since I am of the opinion that it is Dillard, rather than Mailata, who should be considered the "left tackle of the future", I believe that Mailata's future is at right tackle.

Obviously Dillard's development, as well as the play/health/salary of Lane Johnson, factors into this heavily. So Mailata could easily end up on the left side again.

But wouldn't it be great if the Eagles actually picked our bookend tackles for a decade with back-to-back selections at the tail end of the '18 draft and the first round of the '19 draft? Isn't that what we WANT?

If Lane Johnson was 33, I would say you would hope Dillard comes back and plays LT.  I think they have to look at Lane as having at least 2 more seasons absent some significant injury. Lane is a top 10 player when healthy.  I think the team would suffer a significant cap hit if he was traded in the next 2 seasons.  I don't think you can keep Mailata on the bench at this point. If Mailata is at LT, then Dillard is on the bench.  The team would be better served trading him for a pick and developing another player to replace Lane.

10 minutes ago, Bacarty2 said:

Doug already said that decision is Lane's and if Lane wants to play, Lane plays.

Because it fits the sh!t narrative on here everyone agrees with Doug(well except you and I )

Mark the calendar, I agree with you.

As much as i want to beat the Cowpies it's more important at this point in the season to give Lane a ghance to get healthy.

Or does the team know he won't recover without surgery and an extended rest period.

Random thought here but I'm tired of the white on white away uniforms. Why don't we wear green pants like we used to? It looks so much better imo.

So I agree with most things... but some thoughts...

lane missed 4 last year, probably another 4 this year and at this point it seems thats the norm.

Trading Dillard would admit they F***** up bad, and you'd get crushed return wise

Mailata on the bench would ruin him. The kids competitive, holding his own, that would be a huge step back.

Not necessarily. They drafted Dillard not knowing mailata would develop into a quality player. Now that he has, Dillard is expendable.

They CAN keep dillard around as a backup, but if they can trade him to one of the many teams that need OL help they wouldn't get hosed. They're not going to get a first back, likely not even a second barring extreme desperation, but at the very least a 3rd. Not an amazing return but better than nothing, and if the eagles want more they don't have to move him at all
