Not at all, but the dude has done nothing but he hurt since he got back.  He would actually have to be healthy to prove us wrong.  He has had 24 changes so far, and minus the first game back he has only proven he can't stay healthy.

I would never put a 34 year-old WR coming off an injury on a punt return his first game back from injury.  (Other than must-win/playoff game scenario).

The amount of injuries that happen to punt returns is actually a very small percentage. Ward has done absolutely nothing with his chances. You'd be upset with DeSean not back there before you can use revisionist history.

I don’t know about that, but maybe he’s onto something.

Fulgham is a better blocker than Rodgers, and it's not really that close.

And if they lost to the Giants their season was over. So I would say that’s a must win situation. I don’t care that desean is 34 years old. He’s going to get hurt because he’s DeSean Jackson and he always gets hurt. So I’m gonna maximize DeSean Jackson before he gets hurt again. So I can live in fear that DeSean Jackson is going to get hurt on a punt return meanwhile he’s shown he’s liable to get hurt  Regardless of what he’s doing.

frankly we probably shouldn’t have a 34-year-old wide receiver out at wide receiver  And counting on him to make it through a season because he’s fragile and gets hurt all the time. Like we’ve talked about in the past it was a dumb decision to bring him back to begin with and didn’t even dumber decision to just expect him to stay healthy entering the 2020 season.

Interesting Goedert is available to the media. Might mean he's coming back this weekend. They usually don't have anyone injured do PC's.

Unless its Larry Fitzgerald, agreed.

DJax should have been running go-routes every play.  And he likely would have been open the majority of those go-routes.

You can't run a go route from the sideline, the medical tent or the locker room.

So why don’t most NFL teams use their top WR on punt returns?  Why did Reid stop using DJax on punt returns after his rookie year? (Other than special occasions)?

Which sucks, why gloat about it?

Since when are we putting fans against each other for backing up an eagles players.

Defenses play differently with desean on the field as they respect his speed he's a weapon and the eagles are a more dangerous offense with him on the field.

Rooting for him to get hurt or being glad he did so one can say I told you so is low☹️

There’s a certain segment of fans that were just waiting for the moment to say, "I told you so”.  And this was their moment.  Sad but true.

Two things. Larry Fitzgerald is never hurt. So there’s a big difference between DeSean Jackson and Larry Fitzgerald in terms of health.

As much as I love Larry Fitzgerald, they should be playing Danny Isabella more than fitz. Living out here and watching almost every Cardinals game, Fitz is nowhere close to the player he was. If he wasn’t as great of a player for that organization I fully believe they would’ve moved on from him and just gone with Isabella. Watch Danny Isabella when he gets chances that kid is electric. He should be there slot guy

Unfortunately Ward is basically a tight end who can’t block.

Sorry. I couldn’t resist the shot at Ward.

It’s not even that. It’s you could see this coming from a mile away. It didn’t take a rocket scientist to know desean at the end of his Tampa Bay career could not stay healthy Consistently. So relying on him when he’s getting older and just going into a season like oh yeah DeSean Jackson back we’re gonna be fine was a dumb plan to begin with.

I couldnt care less To be right or wrong, it’s specifically about the Eagles front office making bad decisions such as let’s just rely on a 34-year-old wide receiver to be a major contributor on a team we expect to be a Super Bowl contender. That is what bad organizations do. They were relying on players who are unreliable and then say well he got injured and how do we know if that was going to happen? well considering the fact his past has indicated that and he’s older should’ve been enough. But instead the Eagles were like we’re gonna overlook all that and give him a bad contract Extension on top of it. Meanwhile the Eagles had alternative options that they just didn’t wanna pay the price for but yet now are paying the price because they have wasted money and a draft pick on DeSean Jackson

I've hated the signing since the day they announced it.

Don’t like new playoff format. Nfl always has to fix something that isn’t broken

PR is a different skill set than WR.  Most of the best PR I’ve seen were DB or RB.

I would love a Bears vs Eagles playoff game.  Would likely finally end the Wentz vs Foles debate.

Yes and when one makes a poor decision like the above, one doesn't amplify that mistake by using a known Injury risk player on a high risk inury play like a PR.

Everybody knew Desean was an Injury risk saying I told you so when he gets hurt is petty.

Good luck to desean, not sure what his prognosis is and if and when he'll be back but I'll be glad when he is, he's entertaining to watch.

Somehow the Seahawks defense is in worse shape than the Chip Kelly era Eagles.

He did not stop using him after his rookie year.

2009 he had 29 or our 35 punt returns

2010 he had 20 of 38 returns.

2011 he had 17 of 30, and Chad Hall had had a better YPR average.

2012 was the first year he was not the primary punt returner.

That really wasn’t the point.  But most understand the reason you don’t put your top players on special teams is because (no matter how little the risk) you need them healthy on either offense or defense.

Foles would elevate his game to god mode Foles also known as BDN and smoke us tho

It was a dirty hit. Can't blame Jackson IMO

You’re right.  I should have said once he established himself as the top WR Reid used him less on punt returns.  And regardless;  he was in his prime vs 33/34 years old.  Do you not see the difference?

Desean Jackson had played in 7 of the last 24 games and had not returned one punt the entire time.

He asked to do it.  Seeing as he has been stealing money from the Eagles playing in 7 of the last 24 games, its the least he could do.
