Okay, how about this then?

Imagine you're in a pennant race with only about a week left in the season. A couple games out of a playoff berth. The game may not be do-or-die, but it's pretty damn important because you don't have a lot of wiggle room left in your season. Bottom of the ninth. You're down two runs. One out. One on. Your weak hitting shortstop is due up to bat. Instead, you call on your veteran slugger to pinch hit. He used to be an All-Star, but he's worn down and kinda injury prone these days and only plays part time. Still dangerous though. He can definitely pop one out of the yard. Or clang one off the fence for extra bases.

Instead, he gets hit by a pitch and breaks his hand. Out for the season. But at least he got another runner on base by getting hit. And after another out, the next batter proceeds to hit a three run home run. You win the game. Everyone celebrates.

And then someone argues that they should have just let the weak hitting shortstop in to bat because...injury!

That's kinda like what this argument feels like to me.

You can thank me later.

Wade is a nickel back.  Why are we drafting 19?

Fourteen teams in the playoff this year. First eighteen spots go to the teams that didn't make the playoffs. Nineteen would theoretically go to the worst team in the playoffs.

What a joke. What is wrong with this coaching staff

Translation:  if Lane cannot play, I was told I would likely play RT, otherwise I will be at LT.

But isn’t the assumption that if the Eagles make the playoffs, they run the table?

And it’s been going on all day. The past 6-8 hours have been the same exact thing. Just different opinions that’s all.

I mean If i am the Panthers I want Robbie Anderson and DJ Moore being the focal points. I think both of them are better wide receivers than Samuel. When mccaffrey comes back i think his role reduces even more. so I don’t really blame their offense for going that way. Like you said great gadget guy. I have a feeling someone overpays for him on the FA market this year. He’s better imo than perriman and i thought perriman wasn’t worth what he got.

Curtis Samuel is better than Perriman by this much:

I never said Samuel wasn’t much better than perriman. In fact i said he was better. Frankly i think perriman stinks And  I don’t think it’s hard to be much better than him. Even Nelson agholor when he was here was better than perriman. That’s not a high barometer for success. Said during free agency he’s being paid for five good games of his 53 game career that came in a Bruce Arians offense that makes WRs look better. Hence Scotty Miller this year. meanwhile the rest of his career has been crap or hurt. and yet still some team was willing to dish out 6.5 mil this year for him for 5 good games in his career.

if Robbie Anderson only got $10 million per year and perriman got 6.5 there’s no way I see Samuel Not getting something 2-2.5 mil less per year and that much more than perriman. And he’s never even reached Anderson’s two best years with the jets and it’s not like Anderson didn’t have his QB issues/offensive issues with the jets. I’m guessing Samuel winds up getting 8-9 mil per since it’s in between perriman and Anderson. And I’m not willing to pay that for him. I think that’s an overpay cause perriman was overpaid as well. I kind of think he should be at perriman’s number and perriman should be around 2-3 mil

If and it’s a big if no players get hurt this week, are the Eagles actually going to be fairly healthy for week 10?

Only starters missing would be Dillard, Seumalo, Brooks (small chance of return late), Ertz (coming back), Desean (maybe coming back but prob not), Alshon (who cares), TJ Edwards.

Thats not the assumption of that website.

To be fair, he did precisely that in the game against the Giants. It was on the Giants punt immediately after the one where he let the ball hit the ground and roll for about sixteen more yards. It was obvious that he was scolded about that decision of his, so he made it a point to quickly run up to field it at the thirty yard line.

Did he?  I might have still been in a blind rage about the previous one then.   If you say he did, then I trust your eyes on that.

Reagor playing Sunday and Goedert will be ready by week 10, he’s already back at practice.

Taylor.  His speed is what is called for.

Good thinking.

Seumalo might be relatively soon by week 10. Edwards is coming back this week supposedly.

Excited to see Reagor, especially with the emergence of fulgham.

Wonder if reagor will be on a pitch count or they'll slowly work him in the offense with a few designed plays or just toss him in the fire and let him go.?

Should just toss him in relatively speaking. He’s not coming back from a soft tissue injury, and he should have been able to run and keep up his conditioning during recovery

I actually watch the all 22. Epps is much better than you project. Did he make rookie mistakes you would think a late round S would make last year and some into this year? Yes, but he is the third best S on the team right now.  Good speed compared to Parks.  Parks strikes me as a poor man’s Mills. Wallace has more potential.

I was impressed with the snaps Epps took at corner in the red zone against niners maybe?

Due to injury he was basically last man standing and he put in some good snaps, I wouldn't of course want him at corner on a permanent basis but his snaps there were promising going forward as a safety that can cover

True. I think most fans are just itching to see him make some plays, with so many rookie WRs doing well it would be nice to see him do well and think wow maybe the eagles got one right for a change.
