DiNucci is an unknown.  He certainly has an array of weapons at his disposal.  His line is a question mark but so has the Eagles O-line and we have seen some good and not so good performances out of our back ups.  I expect the same from them.  They could play well or the Eagles d-line could feast.

What should happen is Jim Schwartz should throw exotic looks at them, confuse them and not let DiNucci get comfortable making a long day for the Cowboys.

What I fear will happen is Jim Schwartz backs off, puts all faith in just his front 4, Dallas's O-line will get tight end help and DiNucci will have time to throw to one of Gallup, Lamb, Cooper or Cedrick Wilson (let's not forget he went off earlier in the year over 100 yards and 2 TD's).  He will also have Zeke chipping a rusher and then have him singled up on an Eagles linebacker or Jalen Mills.

Outside of the quarterback and O-line questions, I don't like this matchup for the Eagles at all.

He’s an unknown but he’s still a 7th round rookie from James Maddison. He also doesn’t really look like a QB. He’s 6’2 and just over 200lbs. Aside from that, Eagles O line is better, Eagles D line is leaps and bounds better. Eagles secondary and TE is better too. They have a slight edge at LB, better at WR, and you can give them RB even though Elliott has been bad and fumbling a lot. This is an ideal matchup.

DESTROY DALLAS ON SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If we don't turn the ball over, or really screw up on ST, I don't see how we lose.

Even with that they should still overcome. Eagles will probably get at least one turnover too.

100% agreed.  I see the Cowboys winning 38-20.

They only gave up more than 30 twice this year and 38 is the most. They are not giving up anywhere near that to a team averaging 6.5 without Dak

I'll be shocked if DeNucci doesn't look like a deer in the headlights.

1) James Madison folks, that's similar to Wentz, but Wentz had a full off season, exhibition games and is far more talented.

2) Shaky O-line, means he will get hit, he's not a big guy, getting hit a few times will get him nervous.

3) Mistake prone in college, isn't going to become a smart, polished NFL QB in his first start, a couple mistakes, his confidence tanks, he hesitates and is lost.

He's a decent athlete, but he's not Webb, he's not going to beat us with his legs.

Put it this way, would you have confidence in Hurts starting for us? And he is a far superior athlete, with a better arm, with lots of big game experience playing the best college talent.

You want a WR? Check out Tylan Wallace on Oklahoma State, coming back from an ACL a year ago, great route runner, body control, hands.

He won't put up a great 40 time, but he'll just make plays, if he falls in the draft Eagles should snatch him.

For the foreseeable future, the Eagles should not be drafting any players with injury concerns in the first 4 rounds.

No, no, no.  Haven’t you been listening all offseason.  Only speed matters.   Otherwise you get JJAW.  Routes, body control, hands? Pppffffttt.

Love him.  Wanted him round 1 last year if he came out.

I think he would have run a great time too.

Does look slower after the ACL now. But I'd expect him to continue to improve that.  Especially when he gets to combine training.

The Eagles just let the Giants hang around and take control of the game

Im excited to have Reagor, Goedert, and Malik Jackson back, but I need to see it to believe it from the Eagles.

The offense has potential to be very exciting tonight.  They are getting 2 explosive players back.  What does Goedert over the middle do for Greg Ward?  What does Reagor over the top do for Fulgham?

It's the defense I'm worried about.

I imagine the Dallas offense will be running the ball a lot, and throwing a lot of short passes to get the ball quick to Lamb. All this in an effort to bring the defense up, then take the deep shots to Cooper and Gallup.

The defense has to be ready to tackle tonight. I don’t see the dline getting a lot of pressure on the young QB, everything they do will be getting the ball out of his hand quick. The defense has to read and react quickly, and make the damn tackle.

1.  How do you not see the DL getting a lot of pressure on their young QB?

2.  Throwing a lot of short passes with any accuracy requires timing; you only get that with significant reps in practice with your WR -- DiNucci doesn't have that.  He will only be dangerous if he scrambles away from pressure to buy enough time to throw downfield -- that will happen only sporadically, maybe 2-3 times in the game

3.  In order for the offense to perform with any potency with a third-string QB, the OL and skill position players need to win battles to help out.  The DAL offense only scored 13 points in 6 quarters with Dalton -- there isn't any evidence to believe these guys will suddenly go off with DiNucci running the offense.

Washington not getting a very good pick for Kerrigan is odd. He's going to walk at the end of the year, and Washington is going to sign free agents as they may have 70M in cap space in 2021 so they won't get a comp pick. It doesn't make sense unless they really think they can win the division.

Tonight's game time weather forecast

8PM:  46 degrees, wind W 18 MPH, gusts to 30 MPH

9PM:  44 degrees, wind WNW 18 MPH, gusts to 29 MPH

10PM:  42 degrees, wind WNW 20 MPH, gusts to 30 MPH

11PM:  40 degrees, wind WNW 20 MPH, gusts to 30 MPH

blustery but dry, favors a strong arm QB, hmm, which team has the QB with the stronger arm?

In the Doug Pederson/Jim Schwartz era the Eagles are 6-1-1 against rookie QBs. The loss was the first Cowboys game in 2016 in Dallas against Dak. The Defense has given up an average of 15.25 points per game, high being 27 to Haskins, low being 3 to Faulk.

I heard this guy has a strong arm, so I'm not sure merely arm strength as a measurable is a favorable matchup for the Eagles.

Lane is listed as questionable now.

People were freaking out over his good snaps vs Washington. I saw the "highlights"- there were no reads whatsoever and it was all choreographed gameplanning. We'll be fine.

I don't even remember the last time the Eagles destroyed anybody.  Probably the SB year.
