Guess I need to hope for the NYG to beat WAS next week; pretty sure DAL is done after they lose to PIT.  I don’t care what the division looks like; no one is coming back from 2-7 to make the playoffs

Giants beat them once and despite their record haven’t been terrible outside of San Fran.

Think CBS sticks with Pitt/Dallas as the feature game at 4:25 next week?

Or do they go to Miami at Arizona, which would be a more compelling matchup.

What’s the betting line gonna be for PIT @ DAL — gotta be about 16.5 points?

Man, I’d love to see the Jets beat NE next week .....

Pitt Dallas because of the names.

Fulgham looks like a vet. Everything he does on the field looks so natural. That TD catch he got looks like he's been doing it for 5+ years. Dude is an absolute stud. Imagine if we had a real QB throwing to him 😂😭

Who threw him the pass — Peters?

So would Trevor Lawrence.

Might as well have been with the way he played.

Call me crazy (not stupid, please) ..... the Jets are so far away I could see them fielding offers for that pick.  Darnold isn’t great, but the Jets have no chance of becoming competitive during Lawrence’s rookie deal.  I’d think about an offer that included 6-7 draft picks

Lawrence would be smart to pull a power play and say he won't play for the Jets.  If he plays for them, he won't have the players around him to be successful.  He risks being a bust if he goes there. So, I could see that, too.

Carson keeps talking about staying aggressive and pulling the trigger.

He doesn't understand situational football.  There are times you need to be conservative.

Like tonight against an overwhelmed rookie QB on the other side.  The only way you can lose is with turnovers.

To piggy-back here for a sec....this is what infuriated me at the end of the first half. Instead of going for it on fourth down there and giving the ball to the Cowboys near midfield (close enough so that they're in field goal range with some minimal effort, which is precisely what ended up happening), Doug needs to punt the ball, pin the Cowboys back, and if you can use your timeouts and get the ball back again, well, that's okay. I understand being aggressive, but the cautious approach seemed to be the way to go there.

Frankly, that maneuver reminded me of the last bit of the first half of the Redskins game. Just gave them the field position to score and jump start the rally. I really don't think the Redskins were ever going to drive the ball in that game...not REALLY drive it...yet the Eagles gave them short fields multiple times instead of playing it safe, and it ended up biting them in the ass.

might be about who they hire as HC

It's about personnel. Who do the Jets have to make him be successful?  They need a lot.  Even if he has a "good" HC, if he doesn't have good OL, WRs or a RB to help him out, then he's not going to be successful. Now, maybe if he red shirts the whole year.  But, more teams are throwing in rookies in year 1 in recent years.

Some thoughts on the game...

-- Fulgham is legit. Keeps beating up on NFL CBs. What a find.

-- I can't make a reasonable evaluation about anyone on the Eagles defense based on this game. Ben Dinucci is Luke Falk level bad.

-- Peters played well, but also hard to judge since the Cowboys defense is so bad. Wouldn't be surprised if his injury was minor and he spent the last several weeks getting into "LT shape."

-- Nice to see Reagor out there again. Hope we see more creative playcalling with him after the bye. Where did all the Agholor jet motion go?

-- Wentz was inexcusably bad at home against the worst defense in the league, and I doubt his ability to do anything other than be a net average quarterback with alternating periods of trash and spectacular play. If money weren't an issue, I'd trade him next offseason and not think twice about it.

Fulgham really is legit isn't he. Another TD, another 78 yards. They need to start making this guy the focus of their offense because he's that good.

I thought Reagor did OK too. He didn't get too many opportunities and they seemed to target him on short routes but he showed toughness.

Jets beating NE & possibly losing out on Lawrence to NE because of it would be hilarious, terrifying, and the most Jets thing ever.

Looks like a good time to use this again...

Weak performance but a W is a W. Now get some rest, beat the Giants, and go from there.

Yeah I mean that's how they need to approach this thing. I know it's the biggest cliché in all of football but one week at a time.

Again with the coordinator?

The moment Slay left the field we had the worst back seven in the league.  I know their QB sucked.  But they did have Cooper, Gallup, and Lamb lining up against Maddox, Jacquett, and NRC.

Schwartz has never had the tools that Jim Johnson had.  He is not the problem on defense.

And who was their QB again? Our d-line put pressure on the staché all game as well. Schwartz wouldn't know a good linebacker if he was blindsided by one. The guy rolls with Nathan Gerry like he's Derrick Brooks. It's ridiculous.

Ugly wins alway beat pretty losses.  Move on to the bye and get healthier.

Come on Man... You know ... The Ting.

Somebody literally came on here and said that Wentz was outplayed by Dinucci. Some people just want Chaos.

So the guy's not perfect?

You can't live your entire life thinking everyone you meet is "easily replaceable".
