Punch a guy in the helmet and probably hurt yourself in the process, 2 games. Use your helmet to aim and scramble an opposing QB's brain, no games.

Funny how that works... isn't it?

What people look like defending Carson Wentz at all costs.

Thing is, I've seen all of the Wentz "defenders" admit he has played poorly at times and had made some terrible decisions.

Not a single person on the opposite side can admit that there's more issues with the team than Wentz. Every single bad play or outcome is always his fault.

That's the difference.

Sure there is plenty wrong with this team.

The Cowboys rookie QB in his first start in fact has a better, only slightly, rating than Wentz.

OK let's look at our last 2 draft classes.  Draft classes meant to start building the core of the Eagles moving forward. Out of 15 players drafted over the last 2 years they played a combined 64 snaps.

To put that in perspective, there were 63 snaps on offense and 79 on defense.  I know you injuries are going to happen but this is inexcusable.  If you take out Reagor, our 1st rounder coming off an injury the 14 other players drafted played 18 snaps.  All on offense.  We got 44 ST snaps out of Taylor/Bradley/Wallace.  Not exactly the contributions I want from the.

This is absolutely pathetic.  I hope hope hope that Lurie is noticing this and realizes Howie is not performing.  Yes he signed Fulgham, Scott, Herbig and Ward.  I don't want our GM to be known for picking players off the trash heap.  I want a GM who can draft.

Round 1

Dillard- hurt

Reagor- 46 snaps

Round 2

Sanders- hurt

JJAW- 5 snaps

Hurts- 3 snaps

Round 3

Taylor- 0 snaps/14 ST

Round 4

Miller- PS

Wallace- 0 snaps/14 ST

Driscoll- hurt

Round 5

Thorson- cut

Hightower- 10 snaps

Round 6

Bradley- 0 snaps/15 ST

Watkins- 0 snaps

Wanogho- PS

Round 7

Toohill- cut

Positive note, the O-line played the entire game which I was certain wouldn't happen.

Add 2017 in there too. There were some very good players throughout that draft. Barnett isn't a total failure I don't believe but there were many other directions we could have went. We are feeling the repercussions from this.

San Fran is done for.

Its the SB loser curse unless you are NE. Remember our 2005 season. All the team was injured plus the TO fiasco. Par for course.

yup.

I did laugh at the media with the benching Carson Wentz question.  Clearly they are in the mood for a little HC trolling from last week.

Stidham should have ALWAYS been the starter there for how their roster was constructed.  Signing Newton basically said that Stidham sucks, because having Newton as the starter is just spinning their wheels -- there was no future there at all.  They will be in the QB market at the draft

Think all those Covid opt outs in NE were just bad luck?  Team is obviously tanking for a QB pick.

The way the opt outs fell was way too convenient.  It's a smart play with cap issues to, for the first time in a long time, draft high and get some young players valuable experience at the same time.  Properly reset from Brady

It seems convenient but I also don’t see players just willingly taking a year off from their prime years in a short window job like the NFL just because the team wants them to.

When I saw D'Onta Hightower opt out, it made me a little suspicious just because NE is NE.  We'll never know until all players, etc are long since retired

What if the team agreed to pay them anyway their full salary, or whatever cap skirting scheme they are using now?   Cheatriots will always work to find a way to skirt any rule that exists if they think it gives them an advantage.

Such a garbage organization... the fish stinks from the head down.

If the Eagles make a trade they will do it for what position?

I guess it should probably be LB right? Though CB is a real need too.

JFC.  You guys are ridiculous with the obsession about New England.

I can't have been the only one to peruse the NFL wide list of players who opted out just to see which team had what players unavailable, esp if they are on the schedule for this year. A real life and fantasy football thing too.

I like that the team will be working this week still. They can't afford a week off. That's the right call by Doug.

I was thinking the same.  Most everyone thinks LB and we go CB

Anyone listening to 97.5 right now ??

My impression was the first and second pass plays.  The first, he just misstepped and Lawrence got by him for the sack.  Second, he punched Lawrence and then stayed in front of him screening him from Carson. Thought JP held his own with Gregory and Smith.  Herbig needs to get much better at dealing with stunts. Pryor trying to block at second level.

Yes, I agree on the first sack. That was all on him. Did Tra really think Pryor was supposed to slide over? If so, that's nonsense. Pryor had a DT on his outside shoulder. He blocked the right guy. Lawrence just suckered Mailata. A teachable moment.

Rudy Ford made an outstanding play on the opening kickoff. Steamrollered the blocker and made the tackle.. Gonna be some hooting and hollering in the ST room this week over that one.

On the whole I think Mailata did well.  I was nervous about him being on the right side

3rd round pick for Dwayne Haskins for our QB factory.

How many TD passes did he make?
