This really annoyed me the other night. Watch the end of the play. Fulgham is clearly out of bounds and the Dallas defender winds up and throws a close-fisted punch at the ball. Now I think those should be penalties anyway, I mean it’s a damn punch, but to do that well after the play is egregious. So many times defenders miss the ball and straight up punch other players in the ribs, chest and arms. That’s gotta stop.

Out of curiosity, a playoff contender calls today and asks what it would take to acquire Fulgham and his cheap contract rights for the next 2.5 years.

What are you telling that team?

No less than a 2nd, and that’s because their 2nd is obviously going to be a late 2nd at best. I’d want even more. They’re asking for our only receiver who looks to have good chemistry with Wentz right now, and can be beneficial for a cap strapped team like ours going forward.

I'm more concerned with the actual turnovers than I am whatever the hell "turnover worthy" plays are

2 firsts, 2 seconds and 2 thirds.

I think both are a concern as even "turnover worthy” plays show a continued pattern of being careless with the ball.

Let me know when you get picked in the 2nd round and are a Heisman runner up.

Let us know when getting picked in the second round guarantees that you are better than the guy picked in the first round

if howie took high picks on positions other than ol and dl, i think this team would have alot better right now.

So you think where we are has nothing to do with o-line? Brilliant!!!!!!!

I asked myself this question on Sunday too. If Green Bay calls, you're not accepted a 2nd rounder. So it's a 1st rounder for me. I don't even know I'd want to do that, given that we still don't have great WR depth and I don't trust the team to make an equivalent good pick at say pick 25. There is the risk that Fulgham is a fluke, but having so many good games in a row makes that less likely. 1 & 3 probably gets it done for me, but no team is doing that.

Why argue with him?  Heisman status is not a reflection of NFL success, never has been.

Ty Detmer, Gino Toretta, Charlie Ward, Tim Tebow, Rashaan Salaam, Ron Dayne, Johnny Manziel, Jameis Winston, Marcus Mariota, lots of major misses on that list.

Then theres also the occassional hit.

What will Howie’s trade deadline blunder be this year?

He’s not going to do anything and everyone will be like "omg Howie wtf, he’s sleeping at the wheel”. Or he’ll do something and everyone will be like "omg Howie wtf, why are you making a trade?.”

Last year was fun. When we traded for Avery it was expected to be a late-round pick. I was like, cool, a late-round pick for a rotational pass rusher on a rookie deal isn’t bad at all.

Then it was reported as a fourth-round pick. Here we are a year later and he’s had one good game.

I'm not concerned with some goofy guy's interpretation of what a "turnover worthy" play is.

This is true

I don’t think it should be dismissed out of pocket either. Dropped interceptions and fumbles that are fortunately recovered by the Eagles matter in the evaluation.

Regarding Carson Wentz.  If he was on another team.  Would you be scared he was going to beat you or would you be excited that your defense was going to be able to get pressure on him and cause turnovers?

I would be scared most of the time....but I’m not sure I would be scared to face him this season.  He’s different.

I used to be frustrated with his aggressive style for fear he would get hurt.  Not sliding...diving head first, etc.  But I still respected his aggressive nature.

This season his aggressiveness has morphed into recklessness.  I don’t know if it has to do with his blow to the head last year, but his decision making has taken a turn for the worse.

I’m hoping this is fixable, and that during this bye week he will get his head on straight.

In all seriousness, I absolutely believe it does... very very sadly.    He's not at all the same player. 7 INTs in a year was his high mark (not counting his rookie year)... now INTs are his calling card.   It's crazy how fast that changed.   Fumbles were always an issue, but now they are worse.

To me it leads back to the concussion.  I'll bet it was more serious than we were led to believe.

Absolutely.

I dont think it has anything to do with the concussion

Look at all of the variables at play:

-More coaching changes

-Revolving door at skill positions

-Shaky OL, lots of hits and sacks

-No preseason

-2nd Round draft pick brought in behind him

I think all of the above are more responsible than a concussion
