Eagles win this division at 6-9-1 and we are going to have to hear about it for the next 15 years or possibly forever just like how they always bring up that 2010 Seahawks 7-9 playoff team every week

That Seahawks team won a playoff game.  We won’t.

Not sure if you're agreeing with me or not  If they were exempt from paying taxes we'd all be wearing straw hats and effing our cousins

I'm agreeing. I'd have a horse and wagon

Amish dont pay Fica/FUta/SS is what I meant. Obviously they pay state/land tax

I know some/most have SS exemptions because it's considered a type of insurance or something, and they don't believe in/use any type of commercial insurance.  They are exempt from paying in but then also exempt from collecting, obviously.

Not with Wentz turning the ball over like he has all year

Besides wentz needing to massively improve causes he’s been bad this year outside of a couple of games. I’m at the point of i like to see Doug not calling plays and see if that has any change or improvement. We’ve seen 4.5 seasons of Doug as the play caller. Yet only in 2017 was the offense a top tier offense. Yes we’ve have sustained injuries over the last three years but we’ve also had issues incorporating guys or playing to their strengths until what feels like late in the season the last two years.  This is 1 great year on offense and 3.5 years of wildly inconsistent offense from week to week. It’s not as if things got worse or didn’t improve we couldn’t have Doug take over again.

before anyone says the plays would work if Carson and guys perform and execute, literally you can make that argument for 75-80% of the league. Heck the giants are in overtime if Daniel jones could execute the last play properly. However that does not excuse the giants offense being lackluster most of the season

He was recently asked about giving up play calling and he said no. I don't think he'd ever do it

I don't think any changes will happen if Eagles win the division

Is it just me, or is there a lot less juice around the trade deadline this year compared to last?  I was glued to the radio and MB this time last year.

I just don't care this year. Our cap situation is so bad.

I kind of think the organization might force him too. It’s not like he wasn’t forced to take on some of the coaches that were hired this offseason.

I voted. Praise me.

Idk I’m pretty excited about reagor and fulgham on the outside. I want to see them grow. Would love to see Watkins get some reps in the slot. I think he’s an ideal slot WR.

Was it Doug or Howie that wanted the committee of OCs?

Well if it were up to doug he wouldn’t have fired anyone last offseason.

Given your posting history here I think I'd rather be saddled with your mortgage 😂

Dude I love the young players. Our cap prevents us from any big trades though. The cap is screwed. Even the kickers contract is terrible. Lol

For the league or for the Eagles? I mean I think most of us realize that this isn't a very good team and we would hope they'd be sellers over buyers, so that's probably the reason.

Yet another example of the FO and coaching staff being on different novels, let alone different pages.

They forced Doug to fire people he wanted to keep, yet gave him the rope to create a highly bizarre and non traditional coaching structure as the replacement.

If you’re going to let him make whatever ill-advised decisions he wants, then don’t fire anyone.  And if you are going to insist he needs adult supervision, then see it through.

That one is not different from trading for players the coaching staff doesn’t use.

Frankly they don’t need to be making trades to acquire. It should be trading guys away that have values that are high and accumulating picks or if they get a young player in return.

Some of you people need to stop drawing lines in the sand.  It’s not Carson or the Coaches fault.  It’s not Doug or Howie’s fault.  It’s not Injuries or Carson’s fault.   It’s all the above!!!   If you can’t see that Carson has regressed then you’re blind.  If you want to blame it all on him and your distain for him (for whatever reasons....Bible loving Hunter ......mmmm) then you’re blind.  Be a little more transparent with your opinions.  This isn’t a thing where you have to pick a side.  Be mature and see things for what they are.  A soft,  not very talented, poorly coached team with a talented QB that refuses to take what is there and short circuits at times.   The guy cares.  A lot.  I respect the hell out of him for that.   We just need someone to channel that energy.   Doug obviously isn’t the one to do it.

My vote for post of the day.

he voted none of the above.

The first red flag in all of this was Doug coming out with a ghost written autobiography the same offseason after winning one Super Bowl.

That was the first crack in the foundation.

Howie, for all his terrible moves and incompetence (and there’s a lot of both with him), at least never put out vibes of being totally and utterly self indulgent and satisfied after the title.

You can't trade the players away that need to be removed Howie. We incur huge dead cap hits. Some of them are absurd. Howie dug himself a hole.

I'm for any trade that can help fix the future cap. Wish we could move Alshon.

That last part is why I'm not on the "tank for a better draft pick" train. For all of Wentz's errors and regressions this year, the guy kills himself every week to try to get this team wins. You can tell he cares and puts his health in jeopardy every week just to try to win. If he was out there looking lethargic and half-assing it, yeah I'd say blow the entire thing up and start over. But I want to see him in a playoff game and I want to see him win a playoff game. This team isn't winning a Super Bowl this year, but that doesn't mean getting Wentz to the playoffs and getting him a chance to win a playoff game isn't important. And if it's a close game in the 4th quarter, I still trust him to get it done regardless of how terrible he looks in the previous three quarters.

That, and I just don't trust this FO with their draft track record to even select a good player if they were to get a top 10 pick. People act like that's a guarantee. There's a better chance that they're taking a Marcus Smith than a Lane Johnson.
