That Seahawks team won a playoff game.  We won’t.

You never know... the Bears look like a good matchup.

I doubt Lurie punishes Doug for 2020, regardless of how it turns out.  I do think Howie is on the hot seat for a defensive draft.   I think that results in Schwartz getting less impact on defense draft picks.  Doug has done well for a coach that lost all but four of his starters on O to injury and for one of those four in the case of JJAW, just not getting it.  One weapon (Ward), one OL and one QB

I do wonder if they let Press interview with his brother and look for a new QB coach because I am not sure Press is getting the job done.

I also wonder what tweaks they make during the bye.

P.S. on the dump/bench/abandon on an iceberg Carson stuff. Some of these folks also ripped the Hurts draft pick.

I think you meant Carson/Doug/Howie but, as you said, you are stupefied.   :P

A head coach writing an autobiography after one SB is a red flag.  A player debuting a rap album after one big season is a red flag.

He has every right to do it and I’m forever grateful for the SB, but how does that not reek of a "we’re done here” satisfaction?

He had some cringey things in the book, but I don’t think a biography is an issue at all.

I did and I am.

Boy wouldn't that be something if Foles comes back to Philly for a playoff game.

And wins

If they do replace Doug, it MUST be a HC that has a proven track record with QBs.  Priority #1 has to be getting the most out of Carson.

Not saying him specifically but maybe someone like Jim Harbaugh.

I want Howie gone. I don't understand why anyone would want to keep him

Hated the QB pick in the 2nd round. Still want to keep Wentz as the starter

Sorry friend, but we can't help but peek into your business, it's too close to home!

Well... now I'm all embarrassed and self-conscious.

Agreed. Lurie should get rid of him after the season is over

You aren't stupid... you're a jackass.  Of course, I'm just a grumpy eagle.

Well Jeffery won't get traded it looks like. IR him and move on after the season is over

Discussing options and what might lead to brighter days ahead is not synonymous with definitively wanting one or any of them dumped.  Too many people immediately think discussion equates to the action they would take.

I was. You said it perfectly.

I don't see them getting in tho. I think they're the team that misses the cut. Their schedule is pretty rough

Lol watch it be for a 1 year rental because they're 1st in the division and "have a shot"

Will Parks would be an odd one....It's not like we are set at Safety.  I would like to see more.  Would be in line with what we did last year on the deadline....which didn't make sense.

Maybe they want Wallace to play more. And he's only here for one year, might not have long term plans for him.

I think Parks and Wallace would be a similar role, so moving Parks to get #assets would be a good move.  I think Wallace is ready to step in.

Ben DiNucci vs the Steelers should get a TV MA rating

I would like to see them in.  One of my best friends is a Bears fan and of course we all would like to see Nick do well.

I don't lol. I grew up around Bears fans. Plenty of friends I still talk to are bears fans. One good season out of every 10 and they think they're winning it all. I find them to be just as annoying as cowgirl fans

Wow.  Poor Dalton.  He might not even know what Covid is right now.

Will Parks and our 7th should at least get us a 7th from a team picking at the top of the draft.

For me if you are going to put all of this on one person you put it on Jeffrey Lurie...

- He has enabled Howie.  No doubt he has been involved or least voiced his support for rewarding aged players since the super bowl win.  Especially Jason Peters.  He is the head guy.  The opening press conference was all for him to grand stand about political issues and covid.  Hardly setting the tone for a competitive hungry (and healthy) football season.

- All phases of the team he owns has been a mess since 2017.

1. Health (lack of) of the players.

2. Coaching staff questions.....Doug says he's keeping Groh only to be overruled in less than 48 hours.  Weird offensive coaching staff structure and no OC?

3.  Player development.....JJAW instead of DK Metcalf was a major F UP.  But do you seriously believe Metcalf would be this good if we drafted him over JJAW?  Can you honestly say you have confidence in the coaching staff enough that they would have DK playing as well as he has in Seattle up until now?  LJ FORT?

4. Collaboration of the Front Office and Coaching Staff.....This is a big one.  Are we drafting, acquiring and keeping the right players (LJ FORT)?  The right players that fit the schemes or culture?  What is the culture?  Is the FO talking with the staff and if so what goes into the decision of drafting JJAW over Metcalf.  Or what goes into drafting a project tinker toy QB in the 2nd round and a project tinker toy LB in the 3rd when you have so many holes.  What goes into the decision to avoid the linebacker position or addressing needs on the lines?

5. Muffling Doug at press conferences.  If you don't trust him to be the face and voice of the franchise....then you have the wrong guy.  Period.

6. Enabling Howie Roseman to continue to destroy this team with bad drafts and trades.

7. Also enabling Howie to bastardize his one true strength.......his management of the salary cap.

Would you believe them if anyone told you 10 years ago, that a Lurie owned Eagles would be $60 million OVER the cap??!!

This franchise is not run well....period.

I mentioned this in a previous post just not as long and thought out as you put it.

The Philadelphia Eagles organization is not in a good spot right now and it 100% starts at the top with Jeff Lurie.  He got his Super Bowl, the monkey is off his back.  Now he can focus on the Philadelphia Eagles as a business, not as the Eagles as a competitive franchise.  It's great to support the guys you bring in, but to not hold them accountable for what they are doing is a whole other problem.  So far, I see nothing being done regarding the steep decline in Howie's performance as well as the bad coaching on DP.

Until Lurie changes the way he has his organization built, we are going to continue in this middle ground.  Lurie has done some great things as an owner of the Eagles but as Eagles fans, the best thing for us to see change would be to have Lurie sell the team.  I know that sounds drastic and like I'm overreacting but I'm just looking at the ultimate big picture.
