I can’t see howie having a coach like Harbaugh in here. See it as a clash in personalities and would lead to trouble.

I think Jeffrey Lurie would go offensive mind and young coach. Try to be like Kliff Kingsberry or Sean McVay or Kyle Shanahan. That is my personal feeling on how the Eagles would go for their next HC

Bring in Harbaugh and keep Schwartz as DC.  Bet those 2 would love to work together.

I hope Parks is swapped for a LB or RB.

Two extremely overrated coaches.   Maybe they have a Gilbride/Buddy moment.

If you think Harbaugh is overrated I would say you are being foolish.

First off F the Giants.

But they screwed on that 2 point no call last night.  I didn’t watch.  But just saw the highlights.  Terrible officiating.

I thought it was bang-bang, but that was on Jones waiting a half a second too late and missing Lewis wide open.

Boy wouldn't that be something if Foles comes back to Philly for a playoff game.

I've already stocked up on my popcorn.

I think it would be a heck of a game.  Wentz would go all-out and so would Foles.  Both teams are maligned with injuries so it might come down to who's healthier...especially the O-Lines.

Jim Harbaugh?   Yeah, I think he's overrated.  But, I've also been found to be foolish on more than one occasion.

Not sure I'd classify it as socialism, I'd classify it as being neighborly.  It's what people should do all the time... and the government isn't a part of it mandating any of it.

They are all their own community and yes they have to do it.

Any rumors swirling around the Eagles at the moment?

Well... I'm wrong again.   But... its not governmental interference, no one is a part of it that didn't choose to be a part of it though.

They will neither be sellers nor buyers. Also, Will Parks might be moved.

For me if you are going to put all of this on one person you put it on Jeffrey Lurie...

- He has enabled Howie.  No doubt he has been involved or least voiced his support for rewarding aged players since the super bowl win.  Especially Jason Peters.  He is the head guy.  The opening press conference was all for him to grand stand about political issues and covid.  Hardly setting the tone for a competitive hungry (and healthy) football season.

- All phases of the team he owns has been a mess since 2017.

1. Health (lack of) of the players.

2. Coaching staff questions.....Doug says he's keeping Groh only to be overruled in less than 48 hours.  Weird offensive coaching staff structure and no OC?

3.  Player development.....JJAW instead of DK Metcalf was a major F UP.  But do you seriously believe Metcalf would be this good if we drafted him over JJAW?  Can you honestly say you have confidence in the coaching staff enough that they would have DK playing as well as he has in Seattle up until now?  LJ FORT?

4. Collaboration of the Front Office and Coaching Staff.....This is a big one.  Are we drafting, acquiring and keeping the right players (LJ FORT)?  The right players that fit the schemes or culture?  What is the culture?  Is the FO talking with the staff and if so what goes into the decision of drafting JJAW over Metcalf.  Or what goes into drafting a project tinker toy QB in the 2nd round and a project tinker toy LB in the 3rd when you have so many holes.  What goes into the decision to avoid the linebacker position or addressing needs on the lines?

5. Muffling Doug at press conferences.  If you don't trust him to be the face and voice of the franchise....then you have the wrong guy.  Period.

6. Enabling Howie Roseman to continue to destroy this team with bad drafts and trades.

7. Also enabling Howie to bastardize his one true strength.......his management of the salary cap.

Would you believe them if anyone told you 10 years ago, that a Lurie owned Eagles would be $60 million OVER the cap??!!

This franchise is not run well....period.

Jeffery Lurie is among the best owners in the league, imo.  He turned what was once the laughing stock of the NFL (Under Braman) into a consistently winning organization, well respected among the league and finally a Super Bowl Champion.

1. Health has been an issue.  I'm not sure who's to blame for that but I would look at the trainers/medical staff first.

2. Groh was likely the scapegoat and someone had to take the fall....the fans would have likely revolted if there wasn't a change made in the coaching staff and Groh was likely that guy.

3. As far as Metcalf vs. JJAW goes, I'm almost certain Howie liked Metcalf but Metcalf was ruled out because of medical concerns.  Pretty sure "medical reasons" takes precedent when it comes to draft picks.  (As in, Metcalf was basically taken off the board because of "medical risks".)

4. Pretty sure the coaching staff is heavily involved in player/personnel decisions.  LJ Fort apparently wasn't a good "scheme fit" and in all likelyhood, Jim Schwartz played a part in that decsion.

5. I don't get to watch press conferences often but is Doug not allowed to speak at them anymore?

6. The Eagles drafts under Roseman have been right around "average" according to NFL standards...and that's with Douglas having a heavy influence over the last several years.  This year's draft is a "true Howie" draft, imo...and we should see the results within a year or two.

7. Howie is among the best cap managers in the league and he continues to be.  Until proven otherwise, he still is.

One hour until Alshon is moved or put on IR with a calf injury.

This will clearly put me in a tiny minority, but I think Doug has done a great job this year. The coaching staff as a whole, in fact.

See i don't really get that. I mean he's not going to fetch much in terms of value and we need the depth. Plus he's fairly young.

I'm now really baffled why Howie restructured the Cox contract recently.

I don't think so. But what do I know

I think Doug has a lot of great qualities for a coach. But this team has lacked preparation every year since the superbowl. So many opportunities blundered by mental mistakes. Not just Carson's mental mistakes. WRs not knowing where to line  up or what route to run. Poor clock management. Defense looking lost half the time, and zone coverage schemes that dont work. Dumb penalties....

Schemes work. Players are motivated to play for him. Players are motivated to play with their backs against the wall. Backups are coached up well to fill in and the rest of the team doesnt quit when basically all the starters are hurt. But then, they just leave opportunities out there on the field over, and over again. Numerous times every game. Mental mistakes time after time to me shows a team thats not well prepared.

I feel badly if they ship out Parks who was so excited to play for his city. But, he was signed before we drafted Wallace, and Rudy Ford is a demon on STs. Dont really need parks. If you can turn him in to some LB help, thats a better use of resources.

I guess they restructured the Cox deal to have cap room to roll in to next year since they are slated to be so far over the cap.

Thank God someone finally said it. It's nice to know there are people out there who still have their sanity. Indeed, stupefying.

Well since they could never see their family again if they leave I'm not sure you could make that argument either.
