The Eagles have been a playoff team each of the last 3 seasons, and after one game there are folks in here debating what they should do with the #1 overall draft pick.

I would agree. Love wentz but imo Trevor Lawrence is cheaper and i think more upside then wentz. However i don’t think we are going to be bad enough to get the no 1. I think you likely see us beat the giants twice, Bengals and likely redskins week 17. Four wins likely means top 6. And i think they win 7-8 games so more likely 10-13 range. I have a hard time seeing the eagles be the worst team in the league. Like lane would have to get hurt for the year, kelce get hurt and sanders hammy acts up all year. Plus some guys go down on defense. 

the bigger Question is if we are picking 6-10 range do you look to trade back to 13-16 area to stockpile more picks considering this team needs as many young players and cheap contracts.

If we get the #1, we are most definitely drafting Trevor Lawrence. Cheaper, healthier, and with more upside.

There will be immense competition for the #1 pick this year.

This is a lousy season in which so few teams are all-in.  No fans; a playoff run is probably less profitable to owners.  And we have a draft that will be a major unknown...except for the top QB who has already assembled a #1 overall resume and tape.  So we've got a bona fide #1 overall pick and 2-32 head scratchers in a weird NCAA season.  

Every team that has 1-2 wins after 5-6 weeks is going to be pulling the plug.

If kelce and lane go down, I’m not sure i want wentz behind that line. At that point it’s basically all backups, Peters who should be retired and seumalo. It basically would be the david carr treatment. He’s going to get destroyed at that point and likely hurt. With how lane has missed games the last couple seasons i don’t think that’s unrealistic he misses more games this year. 

That said i still see them getting to at least 6 wins. I thought they were 8-9 win team before injuries and that redskins game. I think they are a 7-8 win team now. Which I think would likely be pick 8-13

If we go 0-3, including a loss to CIN, then we need to just flat out tank. Trade everybody and their grand-mama, start Sudfeld. Rest Lane and D-Jax, and every other veteran we can't trade.

I’m actually hoping the giants don’t dumb luck their way into Lawrence. I think the Washington is going to win enough games to take them out of the equation. Giants i only see winnable games against Washington, us cause they tend to play us close, browns, Bengals and bears. Literally the rest of their schedule is dallas 2x, sf, Az, rams, Seattle, Baltimore, bucs. 

Jets are the favorite for #1 imo.

I think it’s more looking at the next 5 games and saying are the eagles better than any of those teams besides the bengals? Rams if we actually have lane and sanders back, hargraves, Barnett and graham play i think they are tbh. But without i don’t think they are.  Either way hard time saying yes with the injuries being what they are at the moment and oline being a mess At RG and LT when lane does return. they could beat the rams. I don’t see them beating the niners, Steelers and ravens with how everything is currently
