Yes, he's the total package. Accurate, good arm, leadership qualities, mobile.

I feel a lot of people get down on him cause he has so much film on him and tape so anytime he plays poorly or does something wrong it’s scrutinized more cause he was built up as one of the best QB prospects since luck. His story kind of reminds me of watson who was great early in his Clemson career but then had some struggles his last season at Clemson with ints and people used it against him. Wound up slipping in the draft and is still a really good QB in the pros. Probably would be better if obrien didn’t suck as a GM and had a better coach.

I haven't watched nearly enough Trevor Lawrence to have an opinion...but QB's anointed early on don't have the greatest track records in the NFL.  Forget the school, the conference, or the offense they played in.  It's the mindset of being told you are some chosen generational talent.  Those guys don't seem to deal with failure and speed bumps in the NFL so well.

Peyton is really the last guy who went wire to wire as a mega-hyped college QB straight to the HOF.

Lawrence is going to be a bust. Do not want, even if we didn't have Wentz.

That's Wentz

He's not accurate, he consistently misses basic throws, not to mention he throws high all the time. And his leadership has been called into question multiple times by teammates.

QBs with true national celebrity throughout college...

Tim Tebow, Andrew Luck, Matt Leinart, Manziel, Baker Mayfield

Bradford, Jameis Winston, and Vince Young weren't far off either.

Guys like Brees, Brady, Wilson, Mahomes (yes, Wentz too) never had that ego masseuse through 3 years.  They were hungrier in the NFL.

Just something to think about when drafting a QB who is already a celebrity.

hes almost like Lamar Jackson/Vick level fast. But also almost vick and lamar jackson level inaccurate.

You gotta hope he develops accuracy in the NFL and that his running doesnt get him injured.

Do I need to post the numerous videos of his crazy throws?

Also that was Alshon. Not multiple teammates. People not on this team vouched for him

I think it’s more looking at the next 5 games and saying are the eagles better than any of those teams besides the bengals? Rams if we actually have lane and sanders back, hargraves, Barnett and graham play i think they are tbh. But without i don’t think they are.  Either way hard time saying yes with the injuries being what they are at the moment and oline being a mess At RG and LT when lane does return. they could beat the rams. I don’t see them beating the niners, Steelers and ravens with how everything is currently

Biggest fallacy in the nfl.  A beats B who beats c who beats d who beats e. so next week count e out against all of the above. No. Not buying. Never worked that way before, won’t this year either.

I never mentioned who the rams beat. Or who beat who. I think all of those teams the Steelers, ravens and niners have better rosters and currently not dealing with nearly as many injuries as the eagles. So i don’t know where your argument is coming from. Cause nowhere in my paragraph did i mention the tangent you just went on about this team beating this team so this team should beat us. Nowhere in that paragraph is that argument. My argument rams if those guys are out are a better team hence roster. And i think it would be difficult to see them winning that game if those guys don’t come back. And i think those other three teams have better overall rosters from top to bottom. So to me it’s an uphill battle to beat those three teams when we aren’t dealing with injuries. They have better rosters than the eagles and 2 of them we travel west coast then all way back east coast on top of it.

Amazing that this is the discussion after one game.

Beats talking politics

Noooo waaay. If the Eagles somehow suck themselves into the #1 overall pick, for them to pass on Lawrence would be one of the dumbest movies in franchise history. He's a generational talent at QB.

And I'm a Wentz guy saying that.

You take him, trade Wentz, and once again enjoy the rookie wage scale for another 5 years.

Damnit....I don't want to admit it but it sounds enticing.

Another Philadelphia injury.  I'm shocked.

I think the leadership issues are exaggerated.  Do some teammates maybe criticize him behind the scenes?  I'm sure they do.  We do so I'm sure some of his teammates do the same.  But none have come out and said anything publicly.

The other stuff about accuracy is true.

No worries, they can just lean a little more on the bullpen.

Feels like the baseball gods want klentak to get fired when they miss the playoffs.

I don't know why, but this painting came to mind:

Silver lining if they do.

Can we just find one personnel/organizational genius to multi-task and be the GM czar for the entire city?
