Please.  Wentz has been fumble prone his entire NFL career.  Perhaps you meant interception prone, not turnover prone, which he added this season, mainly from Doug calling up long throws behind this backup OL.

Well turnover prone means interceptions and fumbles. He was only fumbling but they haven’t had an absurd amount of interceptions over 3 years. He had 14 turnovers, 13 turnovers and 10 the last 3 years. An average of 12.6. I don’t consider those numbers turnover prone. So turnover prone this year would be accurate for this year as he’s at 16 halfway through a season. He wasn’t turnover prone last year when he only had 14 total turnovers. He’s on pace to have 32. That’s turnover prone.

does he have a fumbling problem? Yes. I never said he didn’t have a fumbling issue. However he’s only turned the ball over in the three past years those many times. That’s not turnover prone. Regardless of any argument you wanna make with he fumbles the ball, he’s only turned it over on average 12.6 times. Which is one of the lower rates in the NFL over that time.

No. They drafted JJAW and then restructured Alshon and guaranteeing his 2020 salary right before the start of the 2019 season. At the time of the pick the general consensus was "ok, we drafted an Alshon replacement so we can move on at the end of the year". Then they restructured and the consensus changed to "ok this pick makes no sense"

That's correct, they extended him in Sept right before the season, months after drafting JJAW.  Their rationale was that it would give them a starting WR while JJAW learns and develops.

This write up by Spads though hyping the move is funny.  Written on Sept 7th, 2019 for date reference of the transaction.

Wide receiver Alshon Jeffery wants to be an Eagle. The Eagles want Alshon Jeffery. And when you have two sides that want the same thing, you have a match made to work on and off the football field. And so the news on this Saturday is that the Eagles and Jeffery have agreed to a restructured contract that will guarantee Jeffery's salary next season while also providing salary cap flexibility for the team.

Win. Win. All around.

And let them kill the grass?

Well the upside is you won't have to mow it next year.

Nothing like going for a backwards plodding offense (12 personnel), then doubling down on it (draft JJAW), then tripling down on it (extend Alshon).  Then just correct it the following year by sorting your draft board according to 40 time.

Yea, they know what they are doing.

Well  - I just got my son to start mowing it.  He also has been raking the leaves.  But now I have a plan when he leaves for college in 6 years.

That's crazy with as much as I spend to fertilize, aerate and seed, I'm not letting leaves kill it.

How are you supposed to yell at kids to stay off your lawn if you don't have one?

I think that's optimistic.  I mean he melted down in Pittsburgh when JuJu got more targets than him.  Roethlisberger couldn't stop him from getting out of control.

Very optimistic — Antonio Brown was already with Brady last season, in NE ..... how long did he last there?

The notion that a veteran QB, or any QB by himself, will keep Brown from being a psychotic is preposterous

You should stick around.  The longer you are here, the more you see the boobs and butts.  Quite a few around here.  A few of them will show up sooner or later.

I don't think Jones has been terrible.  I just think he's probably an OK QB.  If you put him in the right setting, he can win games.  He just can't do much with what they currently have in NY.

Daniel Jones and Gettleman are basically tied at the hip.  I don’t think any other GM replacing Gettleman (if he’s fired after the season) would pass up Trevor Lawrence or Justin Fields because Jones is on the team.

Personally, I would run to the podium to draft Trey Lance to replace Daniel Jones if I was the Giants GM

I prefer that my grass doesn't grow in the spring.  The more it grows, the more I need to mow it.  Seems like a vicious cycle.  Personally, I'd love to rip the lawn out and just replace it with some sort of Astroturf... but it wouldn't be good for the dog.

I'm confused... You mention not passing up Lawrence or Fields, but then want to run up for Lance.

Not very confusing. Hes saying he doesn't think Gettleman would pass on Lawrence or Fields if they are in position to draft them, However, his(Alphagrand's) personal choice would be to take Lance "IF" he was the GM.

Actually, he said the GM replacing Gettleman.   I just think it's interesting that he likes one guy seemingly the best, but thinks that whomever is in the Giants' chair would prefer 2 different guys.

The Eagles don’t think this far ahead...but I’d like to see Dillard win the LT job next year and Lane moved at the 2021 deadline with Mailata settling in at RT.

In a way, Peters going back to LT and Mailata as the swing tackle is a step in that direction.  With Peters and Lane’s health, Mailata figures to get about as many OT snaps as a #3 DE.  So he’ll get work in.

That's my ideal situation.

Less than ideal is Dillard gets traded and Mailata is LT.

Not ideal

Simply that I would draft any of the three rather than continue on the Daniel Jones path.  The Giants right now are sitting at #2 in the draft order.  Assuming Lawrence goes #1, I would either draft Fields at #2 or trade back, accumulate a couple of extra draft picks, and still be in position to draft Lance.  I wouldn’t draft Lance at #2.

Personally I would evaluate Lance ahead of Fields, based on my extremely limited credentials.  I think Fields holds the ball too long in the pocket — but he still has a much higher upside than Jones IMO.  Objectively, Lance is probably a #12 to #15 pick as it stands right now.

safety Marcus Epps tested positive for COVID-19, source said. Epps is asymptomatic. No other positives for Philadelphia from Wednesday’s testing. The team is on a bye and will enter intensive protocols.

Based off the cap numbers it’s impossible to trade lane before June 1. Would be on 29 mil dead money. On June 1 you’d have 8 mil dead money and 9.7 cap saving. I still highly doubt they trade lane. He really needs to just get 100 percent healthy before they can even look to deal him cause you won’t get as much as he’s probably still worth
