Yeah I could never pass the pull-ups. Always was 1-2 short. All the other ones were easy.

Pretty sure I got personally signed letters from Reagan and H W Bush, they were not stamp signatures 🙂 .  I agree the pull ups were the hardest.  The 600 yard "distance" run was a joke, kids could walk half of it.   As for the standing broad jump, I have yet to find how that applied to any sport I ever played.

Tanking for Lawrence makes little sense,   Wentz signed a 128 million dollar extension 14 months ago, 108 guaranteed.  Eagles would take a huge cap hit cutting Wentz in the off season  and no team would trade for a QB that just finished bottom of the league.

Like it or not Eagles have Wentz thorough 2021.   I like Wentz but he needs an O line so he can make his progressions.  Other wise just check downs and play field position football, hoping your defense and ST can keep you in the game.

A lot of football left in 2020.   10 wins will win NFC east division, maybe 9.

It’s the regular season so we have to listen to these reactionary idiots for awhile

It would be cool if Hurts ends up being awesome. I watched him at Bama and only a little at OU. His passing was meh but man could he run... not quite like Lamar Jackson but close. Maybe he has the ability to improve a lot with his passing.

LULZ

5 step or 7 step was too long. it showed. but sure man

I don't care how many steps he took. The guy was open. It was quarterback 80% and then w.r. 20%. If you want to complain about the calling for the whole game fine. On that play the coach called the right play the o-line got Carson the time and the receiver was open. So lulz yourself.

Do you remember the President’s Physical Fitness Test?  Everyone got a ribbon.  Started when I was finishing grade school.

Out in the sticks we didn't do that I guess.

No way the bears do that deal straight up. Throw in JJ Arcego-Whiteside

The deal would be better for them without him

Why do we need Trevor Lawrence? We have Jalen Hurts!!! Or could you imagine having Wentz, Hurts, and Lawrence? QB Factory!!

He would be the newest, tallest, more shiniest smokestack in our QB factory.

What happened to the RPO?  Foles mastered that to a Super Bowl and he wasn't even a threat to run.  It just simplifies everything and allows the QB to determine where to go with the ball pre snap.  Go back to basics and get the ball out to these playmakers.

I don't think that was Doug's offense.  He is not an RPO guy.  His offense would be perfect for Jaws and Mike Boryla.  He would be perfect as Mike McCormack's offensive coordinator.   Carson can be dynamic if plays are called to maximize his talent.   7-9 yard drop setting up in the exact spot, same depth, waiting for mid to deep routes develop and then really only have one underneath outlet, usually Ertz, is not maximizing his .  He needs to threaten a D by threatening the edge, moving, making defenders defend him rather than knowing he will just be confined to the pocket.  Doug's assistants need to guide him or he will ruin Carson's career and his own.

Surround Wentz with a competent offensive line, and magically he will look like an MVP again

its not hard, it’s not complicated

That can be said for other QBs as well. If you give any QB time they will play better.

Pay attention there’s always some excuse following Carson Wentz name. If Carson had line/running game/Good WRs/better play calling he’d be the GOAT....Guess what so would I!

Review Carson' numbers in the RPO ond outside the pocket.   It's not players around him, its the offensive system.  Put players in a position to succeed.

Before organized gym like my kids had in elementary, recess was free time.   Eisenhower got concerned about fitness.  Carried over to Kennedy and then Johnson. Everyone got a ribbon (see awards):

The Old Program

Active Lifestyle Program - This award encourages both students and adults to include activity in their everyday lives.

Health Fitness Test - This award encourages students to achieve a healthy level of fitness, and is offered as an alternative to the traditional Physical Fitness Test. The Health Fitness Award is awarded to those who reach qualifying standards in each of five events: partial curl-ups, one-mile run/walk, v-sit (or sit and reach), right angle push-ups (or pull-ups, flexed-arm hang), and Body Mass Index.

Physical Fitness Test - This test promotes a basic level of fitness among students, through performances in five physical fitness tests: curl-ups or partial curl-ups, shuttle run, endurance run/walk, pull-ups (right angle push-ups, flexed-arm hang), and V-sit(sit and reach). Three awards were offered:

The Presidential Physical Fitness Award - which recognizes students who achieve an outstanding level of physical fitness (> 85th percentile).

The National Physical Fitness Award - for students who demonstrating a basic level of physical fitness (> 50th percentile).

The Participant Physical Fitness Award - to recognize the participation of other students (< 50th percentile on one or more events).

Presidential Champions Program - This award challenges students and adults to reach a high level of activity and fitness.

Original Test

The initial version of the Presidents Test from 1957 included pull-ups, sit-ups, the standing broad jump, the shuttle run, the 50-yard dash, the softball throw, and the 600-yard run. This was the foundation of the test for many years, though small changes to the program were made over time.

I'm going to say 50% of kids now would fail this but still get a ribbon

I watched the OL play.  The blitz confused the OL.  Del Rio was in fine form.  Some missed assignments or trade offs.  Driscoll was decent in technique but not well coordinated with Herbig.   JP looked like 2019 JP.  A shadow of his former self.  Mailata looked better than I expected but at that point in the game, not as challenged.

A big problem, which has been the case Is the way Carson does play action in the RPO.  He fully extends, pulls back fully, turns, starts scanning the field, sets and throws. Doesn’t fool anyone.   Lean into the feed with crooked arms and shielding the ball with the body.  Flip and throw.   Foles was much better at it than Carson.   Buys time by freezing the rush.

We're going to beat the Rams this week and the talk will go from "#1 overall pick" to "SUPER BOWL!" very quickly.

Not only that,  he can count to four!

if he uses his fingers. This place . Some of these clowns would rather lose just to get draft picks. So glad these guys don't run the organization. Well fans another 0-16 season but we got yet another first round pick :towel: and the crowd goes wild!!!!

I feel a lot of people get down on him cause he has so much film on him and tape so anytime he plays poorly or does something wrong it’s scrutinized more cause he was built up as one of the best QB prospects since luck. His story kind of reminds me of watson who was great early in his Clemson career but then had some struggles his last season at Clemson with ints and people used it against him. Wound up slipping in the draft and is still a really good QB in the pros. Probably would be better if obrien didn’t suck as a GM and had a better coach.

Sounds familiar somehow

He's not accurate, he consistently misses basic throws, not to mention he throws high all the time. And his leadership has been called into question multiple times by teammates.

You have come off of your hinges.

Yep, we did that in my school back in the 80s, early 90s.

Also had the book club where you would get ribbons and Pizza Hut pizza as prizes....kind of counter intuitive ha.

No, you really wouldn't

Listened to Fran and Cosell’s breakdown of the loss...

* Cosell believes the interception on the pass to Hightower was completely on Hightower, that he ran the route a couple of steps too far and then didn’t work back to the ball. He didn’t think Moreland jumped the route as much as Hightower failed.

* Cosell said an issue with Wentz is that he misses too many layups.

* On a Ertz’s TD, he thought JJAW was actually the primary read.

* Cox was not a factor. Malik Jackson was, and ate Wes Hills’ lunch.

* Driscoll was OK outside of mental busts but was pushed back into Wentz a decent amount.

* Washington treated Ertz as the TE1, putting a safety or corner on him, while Goedert consistently was matched up with a LB.
