I’ll post it again...

Of the 17 WRs drafted in the first 4 rounds this year, guess how many have less production than Reagor?

Too many constant excuses.

What is the answer to that question on a "yards per game" average?

I really dont  wanna know.

Are you guys seriously questioning or "second guessing" a rookie who has played a total of 3 games in the NFL and has only been targeted a total of 14 times?

Come on blog, you're better than this.

New here?

Geez, 2.4 yards per screen.  That's atrocious.  The Eagles were IMO one of the best, if not the best screen teams for a long time.  To be the worst now is saying something.

That is awful, not surprised though with the carousel of OL.

What's the league ave? Seems to me it's down from years past as I think defenses are just doing a better job of recognizing screens

Joining Iggles_Phan and me on the Jefferson bandwagon?  A little late for that like a MN Trump voter following Eric’s tweet today.

Justin Jefferson seems to be the "real deal".  Exceeded everyone's expectations so far, even the guys that wanted him here.  34 catches for 627 yards, 3TD's and 18.4 yards per reception.  Fantastic.

What surprises me the most is the 18.4 YPC...that's some serious "deep threat" ability right there.

I didn't know much about him other than the fact he was a stellar college WR.... but in hindsight, it's surprising so many scouts had him primarily as a slot receiver at the NFL level.  Well, looks like they were wrong.  :wacko:

He's 2nd in yards per route ran as well, behind only Davante Adams. Jefferson is who I wanted. It was cruel the way it went down. ESPN showed Jefferson talking on the phone right after our pick was in. Then Goodell announces the pick "J... alen Reagor." Sucked so bad. Yes, we needed speed at the time, so I totally understood the pick. It would've been hard to pick Jefferson over Reagor if you're in Howie's shoes. However, there's no doubt Jefferson was and is the better player.

Yes, but is Jefferson as good as Fulgham?

I'm happy with Fulgham/Reagor, maybe if we draft Jefferson we never pick up Fulgham off waivers b/c he's a big possession receiver and we already have one starting.

Fulgham has been awesome. Really happy with him so far.

It's a coach. They don't have to make it public by putting him on the list. Only way it gets out is through leaks.

Probably Burke

Well that's what I meant. I was surprised it hasn't been leaked who it is

One of those years when we were specifically targeting a vertical threat so Jefferson wasn't on most people's radars.  Even the guys that wanted him here had the Eagles taking him only "if so or so is gone by 21, etc", from what I recall, anyway.

Exactly. My issue with our drafting is that we lack foresight. We're never looking to the future with these picks. It's always what the player can do immediately for us. We have a crucial need for speed, so now we're going to eliminate a bunch of potentially great prospects who don't fit that mold. We're drafting too desperately, imo.

My only was Jeudy who was the most complete WR in the draft.  That said, it is way too early to grade out any 2020 draft choices.

A true vertical threat has been this team's biggest need on offense since the 2017 season.  So of course they will pounce at the chance to take Reagor at 21...can't blame them for that.  And Reagor has played well so far.

It's easy to say, "Wow, this guy is playing at a pro-bowl level" and we could have drafted him at 21 but the reality is, the team wanted to and picked Reagor there....and I don't think the decision was based solely on wanting a "vertical threat".

Reagor has the rare combination of speed, explosiveness, vertical ability AND strength.  The guy is likely stronger than 90%+ of the WR's his size...which would allude to the theory that he won't get jammed on the line (usually an issue for smaller-statured speed guys)...so obviously that was a huge factor, imo.

Don't count Reagor out yet...he's just getting started, imo.

This.  And thank you for being level-headed.

Have to be careful with rookies, they can start hot and fade, start slow and take off.

One reason is the league gets film, adjusts to a player, the player has to adjust back.

Situation matters, Lamb should be kicking ass with Cooper and Elliott, then his QB goes down. He didn't get worse, but his situation did, hard to put up good numbers with Gabriel at QB.

There's a certain amount of luck, which we're long overdue, Fulgham/Reagor is probably our best outcome, and it allows Hightower and Watkins time to develop.

Yards per attempt doesn't necessarily mean speed, as Fulgham shows, if you can get separation on intermediate routes you can put up good numbers.

1. This is so unbelievably stupid, I can't even begin to imagine how this passed.

2. Let's retro this and give me 2 third round picks for Andrew Berry please.

So will there be a rule approved next that if you hire a woman coach you get a 2nd round pick? What happens if you hire woman that is a minority race? We need to up the stakes here, 1st rounder. MIND BLOWN on how this league just did something this racist. And yes by passing this rule they are, the rule itself is racist and just wrong. But looks good for them to the minority groups. Sad the way this world works now.

With extreme protocols on Covid in place and remote meetings plus coming off a self scout week with all the football staff together, I wonder if close contact rules mean distant coaches (except maybe Doug, who should be immune) until Sunday.

Disclaimer: I do not wish Covid on anyone and am not hoping Schwartz is the one who has it.

But, would be interesting to see someone else make play calls on D. Who would step up for the next week or two?

Cant be that hard to call plays for this defense.

It’s probably an entry level no name since it hasn’t.

That's becoming my thought as well

Doug already had it and didn't infect anyone. They've been pretty great with following protocols unlike other teams

@In2football

Eagles - 29

Giants - 23

@In2football giants 22 eagles 14

@In2football

Eagles 24, Giants 20

Giants have been good at keeping games close, but not so good at winning games.  They’re 2-7 and coming off a win.  Their next win is likely further away.

I expect Sanders and Reagor to make a difference vs the last time these teams played.

Probably Nate Gerry since apparently he’s so good at making the calls and getting us in the correct alignments.
