A backup QB doesn't help Wentz for the future

Unless they plan on giving up Wentz and making Hurts the starter then it doesn't help the team for the future

Howie thinks he can flip QBs for a profit but that hasn't happened at a consistent rate. The last QB they traded for a profit was Bradford I think.

It was a bad pick

So you're gonna guarantee Wentz doesn't get hurt the next four years.

Ask the Cowboys if backup QBs have value.

Heck, we're Eagle fans, we won a SB with a backup QB!

Same but I would legalize it, expunge records and tax the heck out of it.  I like sin taxes and fiscally it makes so much sense to be ahead of the other eastern states except NJ on this. Pot tourism works for OR, WA and CO.  OK is trying to get Texans to drive for it.   We are going to come out of this pandemic with a hole in our budget and a vacuum from bars closing that could be filled with pot dispensaries. I want part of sales tax to go locally to municipalities and school districts.  Of course, as a border exit from MD, we could benefit so it just means they pay some of my tax burden.

BTW,  I hope states are taxing the hell out of the online gambling too  I am an equal opportunity sin tax fan.

I wouldn't care if they legalized weed.  You can get way more messed up drinking alchohol and that's legal.

Mine already does this, add blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol to the list

Damn, I would be in bad shape with my health insurance.  Need to get on my exercise routine again.  Blood pressure has been with me forever. Medicine has that an cholesterol in really good levels.

Drug use is as old as recorded history, now it turns out my ancestors burned marijuana as part of Temple ceremonies, back around 700 BC. Explains a lot.

And Alcohol is clearly a mind altering substance. Nicotine is more addictive than Heroin, which is why the Turks couldn't stop it a few hundred years ago.

The key is to limit the social damage, I'd rather give addicts their fix for free than have 17 year old girls turning a dozen tricks a day or young men burglarizing a half dozen houses a night, or mugging strangers to pay for a fix. First limit the damage to others, then make treatment available to those willing to pursue it, and spend on R&D on brain chemistry, which might not only result in "cures" for addiction, but could result in discoveries that aid the treatment of depression and other mental conditions.

Criminalizing drug use hasn't worked, and is based on a twisted sense of morality (people should stay straight and sober for society's sake, as if they have no value other than as workers and citizens, except we'll excuse alcohol, caffeine, nicotine and prescription drugs "mother's little helper"). I prefer pragmatism, first prevent harm, then try to cure. Drug and alcohol use is self-destructive if excessive, so is eating (obesity is correlated with numerous health problems), failure to exercise, etc.

Remember, it's hard to find a more productive member of society than Keith Richards!

And don't forget, it was the CIA that turned people on to LSD - truth really is stranger than fiction.

I dont do drugs but I've taken LSD several times back when I was 19 or 20 and let me tell you its amazing.

Do you take blood pressure meds?

Did you forget we have Sudfeld? We had McCown

Dallas has more problems than a backup QB

We won a SB with a backup so lets spend a 2nd rounder on one? That's horrible logic IMO

Cowboys already have weapons (at least on paper). What good is a back-up quarterback when you have no weapons?

Blow some of that hot air of yours this way; it’s 12 degrees where I live

Yep.  Have for close to fifteen years.  My job was very high stress and I was addicted to caffeine plus I struggle with my weight.  I don’t use caffeine anymore and retirement helps.  I don’t think either my doctor or I know if I truly still have HBP but haven’t risked going off of it. I fought going on cholesterol medicine but it works. My numbers are a healthy 30 something.  I probably drink too much wine but everyone has their vice.  My weight is purely a lack of exercise.  Having my basement redone so I can get back to working out. I admire you for keeping up with your running and bike riding.

If Hurts was our backup instead of McCown (although braving it out on a torn hammy is unbelievable), we might be celebrating our second Super Bowl win right now.

Global warming.  The Pacific is affected and that is resulting in a warm winter here, a cold winter in the Midwest and droughts out west and probably the south this spring.

But you like the attention.

Fetterman (PA LT. governor)is a funny guy, regardless of your politics (the arrest in Forty Fort is real)   Obvious he is a mid state guy picking Sheetz over Wawa  love his PS, which is the main reason I posted this

Fetterman is a boss.

Hurts may turn out to be a good QB.  But at this point, he is a rookie and has not been in games that much.  Can be play well this season if he is needed to go in?  Probably not with the small sample size.  If Wentz keeps playing at a reasonable level and injury free, Hurts' development will be limited.  Doug has to find ways to get him game experience to make the experiment worked.

Sudfeld was the 2nd QB at the beginning of season.  He is now behind Hurts and has been inactive in many games.  His tenure with the team is rapidly approaching the end.

Fetterman is a sad person if he wants his reward in Sheetz gift cards... how truly sad.

And now, for the big one

Your new starter at X

That was a Frito-Lays thing though... Herr's never bought in. Neither did Utz.  ;)

He's protecting the thumb for when he needs to hitchhike out of here... poor guy got the wrong thumb wrapped up though... needs to be the right thumb, this isn't England.

Y'know...Hurts hasn't thrown a single incompletion in his entire career. (Failed 2-pt plays don't count in official stats.) Given that, isn't it fair to say that it might be a tad premature to make a judgment like that about him yet?

Why can't people let this thing play out awhile? And by awhile, I mean at least two and maybe three years. By then we might have a clue as to how good a player he is. Why does everyone not only feel a need to weigh in almost immediately but also feel the need to pound their chests about 1% of the way through the process?

I'd much rather see Reagor on those deep routes instead of Hightower.  Hopefully Hightower can improve in that area and track the ball better but right now it's not good.  Use Hightower on slants and some intermediate crossing routes.  Leave the deep stuff to Reagor.

I think you are going to see with Fulghum working intermediate routes.  Ward working as the possession receiver.   Reagor as the over-the-top component.   Then we have Hightower and Quez and whatever happens to JJAW ( I still have hope).  With Fulghum being what he appears to be, this is a good looking group.
