Two replacement-level DBs.  I guess that's where we are in the secondary.

Better than what we have been starting.

I hate having to turn the AC on in November.  But 85 degrees upstairs is a little much.

Only turn it down to 78 - don't let the kids get too comfortable or they won't move out.

What about Lane's ankle?

Y'know...Hurts hasn't thrown a single incompletion in his entire career. (Failed 2-pt plays don't count in official stats.) Given that, isn't it fair to say that it might be a tad premature to make a judgment like that about him yet?

Why can't people let this thing play out awhile? And by awhile, I mean at least two and maybe three years. By then we might have a clue as to how good a player he is. Why does everyone not only feel a need to weigh in almost immediately but also feel the need to pound their chests about 1% of the way through the process?

A QB in the 2nd round was just the wrong choice IMO. It's just that simple

Fetterman (PA LT. governor)is a funny guy, regardless of your politics (the arrest in Forty Fort is real)   Obvious he is a mid state guy picking Sheetz over Wawa  love his PS, which is the main reason I posted this

I thought this was hilarious but obviously no one would really want Sheetz over Wawa.

  1. Politics belong in CVON; however there are sports-related political topics such as COVID affecting teams, national anthem, sports teams discussing racial justice, or the Lt. Governor of PA trolling Cowboy fans like a boss.  Use your judgment and don't get off topic.

It already fell off weeks ago

Having a young, cost-controlled backup at QB is a bad thing because we could have had/should have taken.....who, exactly?

I would have just stopped after the first point. You aren't going to win with the 2nd.

Turn the heat up to 90... until the kids move out.   This will give them more incentive.

Exactly.  The fool!

Nah.  He’s a yinzer Steeler fan.  F him too.

As a guy who would take Sheetz in payment, there's no other explanation.  Tasteless.  He might as well be eating his own ass... or your ass for that matter.

Yep.  Have for close to fifteen years.  My job was very high stress and I was addicted to caffeine plus I struggle with my weight.  I don’t use caffeine anymore and retirement helps.  I don’t think either my doctor or I know if I truly still have HBP but haven’t risked going off of it. I fought going on cholesterol medicine but it works. My numbers are a healthy 30 something.  I probably drink too much wine but everyone has their vice.  My weight is purely a lack of exercise.  Having my basement redone so I can get back to working out. I admire you for keeping up with your running and bike riding.

I was going to suggest hibiscus tea if you weren't already on the meds

That would be the big one, and who many of us wanted. Kristian Fulton also would have been a decent consolation prize.

Because we desperately needed talent in the secondary.

They may have scouted him properly and he may end up being worth the pick.

But, IMO, it wasn't a prudent allocation of draft resources at that moment.

I mean  I will concede that Hurts may be a smart pick if Carson cannot turn his play around.  I just think the team would look a lot better if they had added a better player in the defensive secondary.

I don’t get how people can be upset with Alshon playing. He absolutely improves this offense.

He absolutely doesn’t. He hinders the offense if anything. All he does is take Travis Fulgham off the field.

What if they’re taking Ward off the field though?

If they are going to play Alshon, you hope he balls out for the obvious reason but also because we want get his trade value up in the off-season.

Fulgham in the slot? He’s had a handful of snaps there but not many. That also is just a temporary solution until Ertz comes back. They also aren’t going to just straight out bench Ward, so it’s not like all his snaps will go to Fulgham

I know it's cool to hate on Alshon Jeffery nowadays. But I remember him being the team's best wide receiver all three years he's played for the Eagles. Frankly, I'm excited to see what he might bring to the table this year. I think he makes the team better. I know it's an unpopular take, but whatever. At worst, he should at least improve the offense in goal-to-go and two point conversion situations, where the Eagles have struggled this year.

I’m not trying to outwardly hate on him. I just have this gut feeling when he plays they will go back to status quo and trot him out there over Fulgham who has earned the X starting position. Jeffery was already slowing down and is now coming off a serious foot injury that almost took a full year to heal. I’m not sure what if anything he has left. And then throw on top a struggling Wentz and our odds of a third straight year of anonymous sources shoots up.
