I'm guessing their pre-planned threshold for bringing up Watkins was Desean going on IR.  And I wouldn't be surprised if their plan was to IR or even cut JJAW when Alshon gets healthy.

Nah. It’s just reality. I’m no Wentz apologist. I’ve had many battles with the apologists after games. I call them like I see it.

If Reagor sat there, he wouldn't be sitting in the soft spot of a zone.  He'd be draped by a DB.  He broke over the middle of the field and was running from coverage.

For F sakes.  The Reagor miss was on Carson.  Reagor didn’t need to sit down. He was open.  Carson is staring receivers into coverage.  Mahomes would have had a TD on the Reagor throw.  Carson plays best when he is playing not overthinking.  Pull the trigger.  The high throw to Ward is on Carson. Mechanics.

The DB would have had to play through Reagor to break up the pass, which appears low, so it would have been in a spot where only Reagor could catch it. 

I think it comes down to the next 2 games.  If we continue to see the same mistakes (despite Sanders playing and hopefully better O-line play) then it will be time to take a long look at Wentz.

Without knowing the play-call, it's impossible to know with certainty whether he should have sat down or not. You don't have to stop in zone coverage as long as you're running to free space, which Reagor was. The reaction of Wentz leads me to believe he just missed, but he also could have been protecting his rookie WR.

Looks to me like the linebacker was underneath to take away the draft snide route. Because we were in max protect with the two TEs, the corner at the bottom of the screen was dropping into coverage and would have taken Reagor. 

It’s possible that Wentz could have waited for Reagor to clear the LB, but him throwing the ball that quickly tells me he expected Reagor to sit.

There was enough room for Wentz to throw above the LB and in front of the safety. It's a routine NFL throw. The safety is barely in the screen!

All this aside, Reagor is going to be awesome. He was routinely getting open/separation. He was the 14th fastest player according to NextGenStats. Sky's the limit.
