Such a sad story.

It was a tragedy.  But now it's become an amazingly inspirational story...a modern day miracle.

just a side note, not meant to start a convo

interesting the use of "unborn child" in this instance vs abortion

its rhetorical.     moving on

It's always an "unborn child" if you plan on having the baby.  The only time it's considered a "fetus" is when discussing/referencing abortions and/or other medical procedures.  But if you plan on having the child, it's always an unborn child.

That’s his point

DGB was a local kid. He was in trouble through HS but since he was a star too many people looked the other way.

The same thing happened at Mizzou until it got so bad they couldn't take the heat.

Interesting note...

Cinncy Bear Cats vs East Carolina tonight at 7.

It was already postponed because of Covid and was supposed to be played tomorrow at 1230.

When ECU realized they could get on National TV alone, they requested the game be changed tonight on ESPN.

ECU is a 28 point under dog, Cinncy will cover, So essentially Carolina begged to get their doors blown off on National TV. Bold strategy Cotton

ECU isn't Carolina.

This is so bad I dont know if its sarcastic or not.

4 targets, 1 reception. 21 yards. 1 bad drop.

Terrible game.

Not a word was said in here about his bad plays,  or bad game overall.

As soon as he does something good though,  we get 15 posts bashing Howie for not drafting him.

Dumb.

I hate to side with him but he had 52 receptions for 1050 yards and 8TD's as a rookie last year.  This year he is on pace for 1000 yards and about 10 TD's.  He could drop every ball thrown to him for the rest of the year and have better production than Whiteside.

Im not talking about JJAW. Im talking about posters here being stupid and only pointing out positive things other WRs do and completely ignoring anything bad.

Now we’re lamenting that Howie didn’t select guys that other teams already drafted before the Eagles took Sanders, much less JJAW?

Damn it, Howie!  Don’t you know lots of guys in here wanted Corey Davis?  WTF?

Wait HE is complaining about itys selection bias??

Eagles can just about sew up the NFCE this Sunday with a win over the NYG, and a WAS loss against DET

Sounds like Seumalo isn't a lock to play.

Not with 6 games ( most of which are likely L’s) to play.    But it would put them firmly in the drivers seat

Couldnt agree more.

Giants will have a win + Eagles lose week 17 opportunity to make the playoffs.

With two wins in their first 9 or 10 games, how many more wins are you expecting NYG, WAS, or DAL to get?  I don’t see any of these teams finishing with more than 5 wins.

Those games dont matter. Eagles would have a 2 game lead, Giants would have to win 3 against Bengals, Seahawks, Cardinals, Browns, Ravens, Cowboys just to get to 5 wins. Washington would have to do the same against Bengals, Cowboys, Steelers, 49ers, Seahawks, Panthers. Maybe Washington could pull it off but they would be on life support.

Eagles would just need 1 more win to basically lock it, thanks to the tie.

How many years are we away from having a female GM in the NFL?

Yeah that’s why i said firmly in the drivers seat.

we need 8 wins. I dread the thought of hearing eveyone and their mothers taking about the sorry 7-9 eagles making the playoffs.

All it would take for the eagles to win 8 games is for

A) carson to stop turning the ball over

and

B) the team to continue on the upswing in regards to getting healthy

it’s doable.

Just use ALL CAPS next time you want to emphasize your point.

I didnt want to emphasize i dont know how that happened

Looking at the schedule ahead. (this is considering getting guys back and NOT having any more major injury issues- just minor)

I see two complete ( more than 80% chance) losses on the schedule (Saints and Seahawks- as they both always kill us-they just do) and I see 4 very winnable games, and 2 games that i'm gonna say we have a shot in (browns and Cards) (We usually win at least one game we should not have won, and lose one we should not have lost) So I am gonna say we go 4-4 as the base and expect we could go 5-3

At 5-3 we would be 8-7-1 and win the division, winning 5 out of last 8 games, and getting better.  Now, we could as easily just continue to get injured and go 3-5 the rest of the way and End up 6-9-1

"Successful" as in a 1 yard gain over a 3 yard loss. Its a start.
