Jalen Hurts last 3 games... 4 carries... 1 yard... 1 fumble

Wheres that idiot that was telling me it was dynamic to have him in lol

He did have a completion which just begs the question as to why have him run the ball at all.

Yup. Hightower while not perfect can take the top off the defense jeffrey just muddles things up,he was slow before the injury he's not miraculously quicker faster.

Why not put reagor hightower and fulgham on the field at once and use ward in 4 WR sets.

I like ward but he's barely JAG.

Reagor fulgham hightower on the field would bring more speed and get all 3 young guys much needed snaps and allow Carson to grow with them.

Putting Alshon out there accomplishes nothing.

The inability to dial up deep balls against the Giants when they have a terrible CB that is staying on a side is idiotic.

Snap counts just posted on twitter, all 5 O Lineman played every play.

Mailata probably learned a ton watching JP rather than being able to go against the same team be played against a few weeks ago to improve on that performance.  This would have been a great chance for him to learn how certain teams change their gameplans throughout the season even though they have the same players (minus the one d-end who was traded).  Instead he was on the bench.

An issue that’s not really being talked about by Eagles fans is what is going on with Dallas Goedert? I get wentz missed him him on one or two throws that were high but for weeks I heard he was better than Zach Ertz and was going to be a top-five tight end in the league. Against Dallas and the Giants I thought it was an opportunity for him to really make a statement at the position. But even with those missed throws he hasn’t really shown to be dominant. Richard Rodgers has been more productive in the offense then ertz and goedert when they have played.  That is a problem that is getting swept under the rug. We had two tight ends that people felt could be top-five at their position in the league. Yet the journeyman Richard Rodgers is out producing them. Yes goedert and Ertz have been hurt in this time but even when they have been on the field Rodgers has been as productive. That to me should be mind-boggling considering the fact Rodgers might have been done with football if the eagles didn’t sign him and these two guys are considered massively better.

I have been calling for more rollouts for weeks. Consequently, I might be considered biased, but I think this is grounds for termination:

I remember Mr. Lurie firing chip kelly real fast towards the end of the season when all hell broke lose and the FANS and players lost faith. If I remember just really 1 bad bad year.

He has the balls to do it, if this train wreck keeps on picking up steam I can see him doing it.

It was easy to do with chip because chip wAs an egotistical A hole hated by the organization from top to bottom.

Doug by all accounts is a nice guy well liked and won a super bowl so may be a little more difficult.

But yeah lurie has fired some good coaches, rhodes his first coach had some early success and was well liked then the wheels fell off, Reid was wildly successful and well liked in the organization and by his players.

Pederson reminds me kind of Gruden, not in coaching style just that gruden wasn't really a great coach but one year won one super bowl then drove the team into the ground and got fired.

Brian billick in baltimore also comes to mind.

I think the further we get past 2017 the easier it is to see that pederson wasn't a huge reason the eagles won the super bowl he was just part of a lot of things that came together at the right time.

Tonight I plan to review the coaches tape for our Offense, what I will be looking at:

1) Oline play - who was good, Bad and or UGLY- will check AVG time before pressure

2) Wr's vs Giants Coverage-  what was Wentz seeing and or missing - was Alshon/Travis/Reagor getting open, or just covered

3) Drive killing plays

4) Doug's play calling - flow or lack there of- why we got away from the run?

Plays I specifically want to look at for reasons as to the why they failed:

1) Wentz tripping on 3rd and short in the hurry up

2) Wentz double clutching his throw to Reagor- what made him hesitate?

3) Wentz being sacked in the Redzone

I believe the Eagles need to get younger and hungrier with the people running the coaching staff.  Pederson and Schwartz look old and complacent.  The Eagles were 13-3 and Super Bowl champions in 2017.  That was followed up with 9-7 in 2018 and 9-7 in 2019.  This year was the acid test as to which direction the organization was heading.  Clearly it's in the wrong direction and changes are needed.

It looks to me like the players are a reflection of the coaches.  It's been said quite a few times (notably by Scandrick) that the team seems content with their 2017 title and are coasting while the rest of the NFL goes past them.  The offensive scheme looks dated, Doug makes baffling in-game decisions and is too influenced by goofy analytics, Schwartz has been around long enough to devise a defensive scheme that doesn't get embarrassed on the scoreboard, but doesn't ever turn a game in the Eagles favor, either.

In blunt terms the offense is too aggressive at the wrong times, and the defense is too passive all the time.  I'm at the point where I'd like to see a house cleaning of the coaching staff -- bring in Brandon Streeter to run the offense and Kris Richard to run the defense.  These are hungry coaches, and that energy would pass down to the players.

Heck, bring in Pete Carmichael or even Joe Brady as head coach.

I too have been calling for moving the pocket. It's like Football 101 when you have a struggling Oline- which we have had all season. And it is one of Wentz's strengths being able to throw accurately on the move

You have to wonder if Lurie can actually "feel the pressure from the fans".  There are no fans in the stadium (OK, maybe 5k).  The boos can't be heard raining down from almost 70k.  He has no idea if ticket sales are plummeting.

They only real way to know is to follow social media.

He CANNOT be happy with what he sees on the field however.  He can't be that blind to not notice this team is a mess going nowhere.

Yet two of those guys didn't play a snap the game before, and most likely one or two wont play next week.  (if Seumalo and Herbig come back)  The lack of continuity along the oline has been the biggest issue this year, outside of actual Roster build up.

Pederson a few weeks ago when told Wentz efficiency from outside the pocket and asked why not roll him out more, snidely remarked that can't roll out if one cant get rush yards on first down.

Firstly the thought that one cant call a roll out on first down is obstenatibly moronic.

Secondly the eagles ran the ball really well yesterday and yet only 2 roll outs?

So which is it doug???

Just moronic play calling from doug and his 15 Offensive coaches.

1. Opeta

2. Wentz thinking "Why the F is Opeta playing?"

3. Opeta and probably Pryor

While this team continues to look bad and disappoint I still hope for a division win.

I hope for this because if we lose this division it will be because Wentz continues to struggle and we will need a new QB.

If Wentz plays anywhere near his potential there is no way we lose the division.

I still can't believe the Eagles had a bye week and thought those would be the best Jalen Hurts plays.

Bigger question, do they know Wentz doesn't have to be split out wide to run Jalen Hurts plays?

I hope lurie and Co don't use the covid excuse to not make changes. Every team In the league is dealing with the same challenges when it comes to covid and those teams are able to look competent on Sunday

I honestly think Doug goes before Wentz. There was absolutely zero part of the team ready for the game yesterday. After a bye, not ready for the Giants . I still needs someone to explain to me going for 2 after the 2nd touchdown

This. This is the thing that pisses me off the most. Why do you have him out at wide receiver? No team believes Carson Wentz is going to go out for a pass or is good enough as a blocker to allow for the play to work. You are essentially making it 10 on 11. like do you want to be creative but then you keep running the same package of plays for hurts. So your creativeness goes down the drain because I’ve seen it a bunch of times

I think you’re right that doug is going to be gone before Carson. Mainly because you can’t get out of Carson Wentz his contract without huge dead money hits until after the 2022 season. So I look at it this way that I don’t think Doug gets fired this off-season. Should he? There’s a case to be made that four out of the five years he’s been the head coach the offense has struggled for large stretches of the season and got hot for three or four games at the end of the year besides 2017. However I still see him coming back. at the end of 2021 it is going to be the moment of truth. Because of the Eagles continue to play like this on offense I think he’s gone. However I would not be surprised if Doug walks away If the front office demands he gives up the play calling

This. I shake my tv every time wentz lines out at wr.

Just put hurts in put Wentz on the bench

Or line both qbs up in the backfield it's just mind numbingly stupid to think that doug and co whole plan when drafting hurts was to put him in and run a zone read with Wentz at WR???

I can think of about 10 different plays one could run with hurts yet Doug and his 15 Offensive coaches have come up with flex Wentz out to wr and have hurts crash into the OL for a yard😒

No probably about it.  I don't care about Peters' ego.  I care about developing young guys.  Mailata needs snaps.
