Lol Doug got snippy when someone mentioned taking Wentz off the field when they put Hurts in like Saints do with Brees

It's over. It's such an obvious thing to do.

Doug is fighting with reporters over semantics now and being sassy. Great stuff.

Cant disagree with any of this.

Nope

Snippy Doug. Lol

Doug got really snippy about Hurts questions and blamed Kelce for bad snaps

Apparently anonymous sources are saying Wentz is sloppy in practice

Damnit alshon you just got back

Sure this will go over well with kelce by throwing him under the bus.

Has that one journalist said anything yet?

Lurie won't move on from Howie until his own name is getting dragged through the dirt for neglecting to move on.

So until Lurie is the one in the media's crosshairs, which won't be a for a while, Howie will be the GM.

Then let's move the crosshairs.   Howie has been a disaster since the Super Bowl.    What has he ruined?    "The whole damn team"

How so?  Bad contracts to aging vets that should have been moved on from... limiting real free agent targets... bringing back an aging DJax... after failing with the aging Mike Wallace... after moving on from Torrey Smith for a guy that was cut for off field indiscretions.... For terrible drafting... for kicking the can down the road, down the road, down the road... 2021 is the year we pay for that.  And we have no young guys ready to step up, because we keep playing the old guys... Alshon and Peters (due to more money that was given out that never should have been).    And Lurie is to blame for the power Peters' yields.   Give him a gold watch and a bus ticket at this point.

The decision to draft him was terrible unless you think they foresaw the precipitous decline of Wentz.  There's no question there were players available in the 2nd round that would have helped the team.  As to Doug and Howie, I think Doug has not been given a lot of leeway by Howie.  I mean he was forced to purge his offensive staff last season.  He has been stuck with Schwartz.  I think he has not had answers and hasn't done a good job this season but he's an effective head coach.  He just needs better supporting staff.  He needs an innovative OC that he will listen to and not what he has on staff now.  He needs a QB coach that gets in Carson's head better.  There's no question Doug was a key reason the team won it all.  He deserves credit for listening to his coordinators.  He needs better help developing a game plan as that's not his strength.  Ideally, they just bring in an OC.

Question whose idea was it to not have an OC.?Was that a howie lurie decision? A howie pederson decision?. A howie decision, a pederson decision???

I mean what's the point of the 15 Offensive coaches what the heck does Marty do, scagnarillo, and all the other guys.

The eagles offense is a toy from the island of misfit toys.

Who knew Alshon and JJAW were interchangeable, without anyone ever noticing a difference. Not us, Not Wentz, and not the Giants. No one could tell a differnce

Who knew? The Eagles were right about JJAW- he is the new Alshon- or vice versa.

I think the Wentz v. Doug thing is a false dichotomy.  They need improved offensive game planning and play calls.  That's Doug's issue but it is fixable without getting rid of him.

Maybe it is, maybe it isn't.

Yup.   Brady is a guy I'd like to see.

As HC?  Since he's already CAR's OC then becoming our OC is a lateral move that they can block.  Is he HC material?  He did a masterful job at LSU and so far is making Bridgewater look above average, but can he lead a whole team?

He's the only one.

And here is Doug making sure we know it's not his fault, his play calling doesn't work

It’s exactly what it is. It’s the same reason they kept running out JJAW when he wasn’t doing anything and it’s the same reason why Mack hollins kept lining up for a majority of the plays even though he wasn’t doing anything. They have this issue were they can’t just accept that they made a poor pick and move on. The one thing I give the Seattle Seahawks credit for is any time they make a mistake with the pick they don’t keep trying to pound a square peg into a round hole. they admit it and they move on from it. The Eagles have too much pride to admit to anything.

Well... frankly, the bad snaps are on Kelce.   But that doesn't change the fact that playing Hurts has "hurts" the team.

So besides just being a bad football team we are also Fing stupid (not benching JJAW more increasing alshon reps). great

Doug said they never considered Mailata at LT and Peters at G

Peters has "settled in"

And Doug reiterated the best spot for Mailata to learn is the bench.

They asked about Peters at guard and Mailata at LT and Doug said no

Looks like Peters will be the foreseeable LT until he gets hurt again

So does playing Alshon and JJAW.

He's never been a great practice player.

Yes, as HC.    I don't know if he can lead a whole team.  Frankly, no one knows about these guys until they get a shot.  I don't like retread HCs.  I don't see them working out that often.   I much prefer the new guy, and maybe with an old salt former HC that shouldn't have been given the reigns to partner with.

We were laughing at the Giants and Joe Judge.  He's looking like he knows what he's doing.  The Giants are a team lacking in talent, but he's got them playing hard, playing disciplined and with his QB not turning the ball over... ready to win some games.
