I don't think Hurts was a "last grasp" at all from Doug.  I don't think Doug is done.  I think Howie may be let go before Doug but Doug might not be far behind.  Doug has succeeded with better help.  He has to be open to giving up control on the offensive side of things.

Not so sure he’s going to be willing to do that. I don’t have any inside information but i kind of feel like there was a deal made doug gets new assistants but he gets to keep play calling doing so. Not sure you strip him of that he’s going to want to still coach knowing he has little power in picking his coaches and not calling plays. He might walk away.

He's not though. He's been asked twice now this season about it and said no

Greenbay made the NFC Title Game last year.   Yes they are 7-2 and playing well but we will see if they are better than last year, still remains to be seen.  We were 1 of only 3 teams to beat them last year.   Again I know it seems far fetched but I honestly can see the guys turning this around in Late Nov/Dec.    Doug has never "Tanked".  He always finds a way to get this team fighting.   And yes, we can be dangerous in the Playoffs with us having a Home Game in Round One.   The way things are playing out we could very well see Greenbay, Saints or Seattle in the playoffs again.   Or even Brady and Tampa bay.   Oh and I just heard the Brees news so that changes the Saints game if he isn't playing.

You mean like the last two years where we finally had a light bulb moment and began using our players properly and playing to their strength. That’s a problem it shouldn’t take us 3 months to figure this out. It’s the same shenanigans every year. Magically December we figure it out. It shouldn’t take that long.

So let's say the NFC West stays competitive and assume that Green Bay and Tampa Bay have locked up the 1st and 2nd seeds.  If you are Seattle, LA, or Arizona, do you attempt to maneuver into the 5th seed to play the NFC East winner?

If you are the third seed, you'd be hosting the 6th seed, which would clearly be a better team than the NFC East winner and without a home crowd to give you a material advantage.

The lone win came in the outlier season. I know in 2016, 2017 and 2018 they trailed at halftime in those games. 2016 and 2018 by double digits. 2019 was the only year they were ahead at the half. So 3 of the 5 games after the bye week the eagles have found themselves down by double digits at the half. And 4 of 5 behind at the half.

Basically what i am saying is we should forfeit the bye week and play through lol

It's November 16th. Do you expect the turnaround to happen next week? You lost me at dangerous in the playoffs

New Orleans or Tampa Bay are very likely to be the #5 seed imo. Not that it matters because I don't think we will be playing in that game.

2. Since the exodus of coaches, the Eagles offensive coaching has been very poor (we've seen several hires/fires in this time), and what used to be easy for Carson to understand and process is now confusing, idiotic, or both, and now difficult to process because he either hates or doesnt understand what theyre trying to do on offense

4-11-1 Good for 7th pick(that tie F's us)

Option 1 Micah Persons and Shaun wade in the mid 30s. Revamp the whole defense in one year

Option 2. Trade back #7 and get a huge haul of picks

I'm trading back. This team needs quantity AND quality. I love Shaun Wade's physicality and demeanor. It's a need for this soft defense. But while he looked great at slot he's new to the outside so I want to see how the rest of the year plays out. So far it's a little mixed but he is new there... Could probably get him around 15ish but who knows at this early stage. CB Eric Stokes may be another option in that area. LB Parsons will be top five and he's a linebacker so...

I'd love a trio of CB Wade/Stokes, S Paris Ford and LB Cameron McGrone.
This defense needs to be rebuilt. These guys bring toughness and attitude along with instincts and the physical toolset. The back seven is a disaster area and these three would help reshape it.

Ouch. Jameis Winston time.

I think I glanced at this. Brees career might be done

Saints’ QB Drew Brees has multiple rib fractures on both sides of his chest and a collapsed lung on the right side, per ESPN’s Ed Werder. Brees is suffering from three fractured ribs on his left side and two on the right, possibly more. Doctors have cautioned Brees to be especially careful with the damage to his lung.

Yes the Browns are beatable because Baker is all over the place even though he can light it up.  Seattle is obviously always a hard game because Russell is just scary.  Saints game will be in Philly with no Brees possible.   Arizona is playing very well so yes Kyler is a threat.  Yes Greenbay and Aaron always scares me but last year we proved they can be beat in Lambeau.   There's something about Doug getting this team ready for a playoff run.  Yes Nick was the QB for those runs in 2017-2018 but in 2019 Carson pulled off a great late Nov/Dec.  So I think he can do it again this year.  I can see us going 4-3 over this next seven.  That would put us at 7-8-1 for the year which should win the Division.  I know people are thinking more 2-5 or even 3-4 at best but I can see a strong Dec saving us.

If he can be cut next year before the contract payout, he may be worth a shot (in corey's place). Otherwise I will pass

If that's the route you want to go you just let him clear waivers and then sign him

I'm not trading back. I'm sorry but we need a few great players instead of always picking "okay" guys.

The Eagles never used Howard properly last season; what makes anyone think this coaching staff wants him back now?

This ^^^ howie has no clue what to do when he is picking anywhere after the mid teens.

We have very few difference makers, and I guess it depends on what is there.

However, most crucially we need to have people in place to make the right evaluations and selections.  This is most important than what specific picks we have...

Do you think they expected this to happen and lost on purpose to get higher on the waiver order?

I agree 900% with this.  It's bipolar how this team can look so bad early in a season.
