A couple thoughts...

Roseman and Lurie need to reframe from making football decisions, like compiling Doug's staff, pushing analytics as a reason to go for it on 4th down and so many 2-pt conversions, the Jalen Hurts pick, who's active on gamedays. Howie is making too many big decisions and has too much control of the team.

If they don't think Doug is capable of assembling his own staff and making tough decisions on whom to keep, or they don't think he should be calling plays, etc ... then they should just fire Doug. This weird balancing act isn't working.

This, when the report came out that howie was making the game day roster I was like wtf???

Why in the world would the bean counter gm be setting game day rosters?

And if so what the heck is doug doing. He doesn't hire his own staff, doesn't have say in personnel or game day rosters or defense.. Apparently he has 15 coaches who game plan for him his decisions on whether or not to kick a pat or go for 2 comes down from some stat nerds in a boothe his o line coach and RB coach control the run game the passing game coordinator influences the pass game and Doug well he holds a clip board and answers questions in pressers.

The whole managerial structure is FUBAR and lurie and howie are the ones constructing it that way.

The experiment to have 15 coaches with equal say all taking direction from the bean counter non football gm is expectedly a failed experiment.

Saints only have one team with a winning record on their remaining schedule.  Although the Vikings and Panthers shouldn't be easy outs.

11    Falcons (3‑6)         Home
12    Broncos (3‑6)         Away
13    Falcons (3‑6)         Away
14    Eagles (3‑5‑1)         Away
15    Chiefs (8‑1)         Home
16    Vikings (3‑5)         Home
17    Panthers (3‑7)         Away

Chip's biggest flaw, above control freak?  Professional weasel.  Yeah he wanted it, but on his terms. The man knew his stuff to a point, but it was never his fault and he was always looking for an out wasn't he?  He could never stick with his decisions.

You said Lurie forced personnel on to him.  That's categorically untrue.

I feel pretty confident we'll lose the next 5 as well. That puts us at 3-10-1. Maybe we split the final two against Dallas and WFT. 4-11-1 seems pretty likely.

Why not take a chance on Long. He was an upper tier guard and he's not old. Bring him in for a workout, what do you have to lose

I think we beat Cleveland. They snuck past Houston yesterday.

Not impossible. I just don't see how this defense defends Chubb and Hunt. Our offense will do what it always does. Maybe 13-20 points.

Or even a real OG

That run game is going to pound the crap out of us

I actually think we'll do well against the RBs.  Unfortunately, their OC is looking at our tape and telling Baker to get his track shoes on.

Can you imagine what Kyler Murray will do?

yeah your right , nothing in the way doug carries himself tells me he can remedy the teams inept performance it puts on the field on game day. the team is a mirror image of this coaching staff and it's butt ugly. IMO  this team gets steamed rolled leading up to the last 2 division games. those 2 last games are not a lock too.

I think that was debunked.  He is not setting the real roster.  He's deciding active/inactive/practice squad and protected which is well within normal GM duties.

It's a good thing we have a proven, reliable LB core to slow them down. Oh wait...

There were 25 mph winds throughout the game and they had a hail storm pre-game. It was also Chubb's first game back in several weeks.  Anything can happen but I wouldn't look at yesterday's game as a reason for Cleveland to be beatable.

That's strange

NVM, it's just his practice window. First tweet sounded like he was being put on the AR directly

Craig James also put on IR

They’ve looked beatable all year

They are 6-3 and the Eagles are a dumpster fire.

We will win those last two to ruin our draft slot. You'll see

Also Myles Garrett is going to be a big problem.
