I understand but imagine if he came here and had success?  This city still remembers Buddy Ryan and loves him.  If Rex came and the defense played great along with him talking his usual smack, he'd be embraced too.

Any coach will be embraced if the team does well.

I think if there are any changes made to the coaching staff my preference would be to go younger, rather than the carousel of regurgitated usual suspects.

Bienemy would be a top higher IMO. I'm not sure he'd go here though. He may want to have his own QB since that's what new HCs seem to want

I agree but I think more so Rex because he's Buddy's son and he has that same type of outlandish, brash, cocky persona that Philadelphia loves.

Well they love it if you're winning anyway.

Revisionist history here too.

I was high on both Jefferson and Aiyuk before the draft and was laughed at by most.

All this Monday morning QBing is annoying as crap.  So many people coming out of the bushes talking about how we should have drafted Jefferson or Aiyuk... just stop.  Nearly all of you are speaking purely in hindsight.

Oh I agree. I was getting ripped for hating on the Reagor pick. It kinda ruined my whole draft night. That's how much I didn't want him. I remember pretty much being alone in my thoughts on the old board.

The blind seem to be overrepresented, however.

What 10-15 years ago?

Reagor made sense as more in the Desean role than Jefferson.  The issue is that this offense requires specific players at the WR position to play specific roles.   They can't have a WR who can actually really do more than 1 thing, a complete WR.  They have to be an "X" or a "Z" or a "Slot"... It's sad.

Do we need to discuss emotional intelligence again

Two guys I think that would work well with Wentz as an OC. I know no one will agree

Bill O’Brien

Hue Jackson

You start... and we'll chime in when we need to.

Could you imagine howie and O’Brien in a dual GM role :o

So you told me he can’t tarnish his reputation in order to trade him. How is he not tarnishing his reputation if he gets benched for most of the year like you suggested in 2021? That is the definition of tarnishing your reputation if you get bench because you don’t play well and haven’t over the course of two seasons

Could there be teams interested? Yes. There could also be Doug pederson gets fired and the Eagles think a new coach can still salvage Carson Wentz but you don’t think that’s remotely a possibility. And I think teams would be interested in signing Carson Wentz. I don’t think team to be interested in taking him on at that contract even with the dead money only been $15 million in 2022 but his cap number for how he played over two years would still be too high for them.  I don’t see the Eagles taking a fourth or fifth round pick to take on 25 million in dead money

It's all just conjecture and speculation at this point.  We''ll see what happens over the next 18 months.

I have no problem bringing in B.OB as OC. not my first choice... or top 5. but he's better than a lot and i mean alot of people. Just dont let him near the front office.

and F*** huge Jackson

Fair enough.

I'd still take him over Schwartz.

What happens when the "dynamics of the offensive scheme" is garbage? Wentz didn't stray from the dynamics on sunday and it was the same ish, oline couldn't block and the WRs were constantly blanketed. When was the last time a WR on this team was wide open?

It would probably easier for Lurie to accept starting over with a new HC and coaching staff than trying to find another QB after investing so much in to Carson.

The all-22 will be out soon enough.  Watch the film and go from there. The film will show whether Wentz had people open, etc.

Hue Jackson would be good.

Bill O'Brien has proven himself to only be out for himself

Not that I can see.

If O'Brien gets hired anywhere it wont be anywhere near a GM role.

I see what you did there. Or is it I don't see ....

Lets say the Eagles lose out and are in the running for Trevor Lawrence. Do you pull the trigger and go for it? What are the optics of having paid Wentz all this money, taking Hurts in the second round of last year draft then then grabbing Trevor Lawrence? I guess you could say it is all about the QB factory

Even if the Eagles lose out they are not getting Trevor Lawrence. He is going #1 to the Jets. No question about it.

People crack me up with that, lol. "Well he was open"

There is a progression Wentz is to follow that is designed by Doug and the play designer. Yes someone might be open but if they are read number 3 and your on read 1 then your not just going to see the open guy and throw it. This is not a video game on a big screen TV. By the time he gets to read 3 he might not be open anymore. Doesn't help when your under pressure after 1 sec of getting the ball as well and cant get past your first read, even if you have time to read that player. So yea watch all the film you want and see players open but unless you know the progressions your just playing madden at that point watching it on a TV.

The game is won in the trenches.  We have a Franchise QB, but our Oline has been a revolving door. After the Oline we need wr's- NO QB will magically make this oline look good with these wr's

You have to be high to think otherwise.
