Random:  Pitt vs Cards in the SB again is likely and would be pretty cool I guess

The Eagles ain’t going that’s for sure

As of today my guess would be Chiefs vs Packers.  NFC is wide open but right now GB looks good to get the bye, and someone will need to beat them in winter conditions.

TB is too hit and miss and Brady’s arm will be cooked by January.  Seahawks have no defense, Saints are chokers; Rams might be a dark horse pick.

He's going to be the punter.

And then the coach

Because the Eagles , like many "Philadelphia" institutions are under the IRON GRIP of a leadership structure that refuses to accept Reality.

Iggles as they're "Currently playing"  ( Face it they had every one ON THE FIELD ) suck in 2020.

Now unlike some other folks out there who would openly root for my curb stomping, I'm going to hold out Hope they win this awful division and in the next 2 months figure out a way to put a HONESTLY competitive product out there.

But I'm not going to waste time in 2020 defending their decisions. Like the Rona. ( Yes it's REAL)  It's "use" ? Big scam.

Best of Luck in all your Travels. Oh that's right, you're about to be forced back into the Hobbit Hole.  #HeavenHelpUS

Ummm...OK.  WTF does that last statement even mean?

Outside of our wonderful Front Office has there ever been a franchise give a QB a 130 million contract and then less than a year later use a 2nd round pick on drafting a QB?

It's pretty clear.

PA governor issued an order requiring people to wear masks in their home

Not really,  but that last statement seemed waaaaaayyy out there.

ok here's my take on roster 2021 knowing the team needs to make cap space.

offense

QB- wentz , hurts backup

RB- sanders , like to see them draft a big back to go with scott

WR- reagor

WR- fulgham

WR- ward or hightower

TE- goddert

TE- rodgers or rookie , but rodgers does block and catches everything

LT- mailata

LG- dillard ( put a little weight on and you have brooks size there but need to get meaner )

C- seumalo or herbig (he has played center when younger)

RG- brooks

RT- driscoll  ( trade lane and his salary , time to get younger and healthier)

defense

DE- sweat

DT-jackson

DT-cox

DE graham (need to draft a stud , could be round 1)

LB-singleton

LB-edwards

LB- rookie round 2 pick

CB- slay

CB- rookie round 1 or 2

NICKLE- leblanc

S- maddox

S- wallace

punter and kicker , LS no change team should get decent picks for ertz , lane maybe something for djax BIG MAYBE ,

don't throw hate this is just my opinion

You are a master code breaker.  It just seemed like jibberish.

Don't hold your breath on a Lane trade.  If traded pre-June 1, he costs the Eagles an extra $11.5M against the cap.  ($29.4M total cap hit)

I still think it winds up being chiefs and saints as long as the saints completely fall off the map with brees out. Cardinals are definitely my dark horse.

Just had a quick look... Eagles are BY FAR in the worst cap situation of any team in the NFL for 2021.   Pittsburgh is next closest at $19M over the cap.  And they are undefeated.  Eagles are scrapping the bottom of the barrel and nearly $65M over the cap.   Disgusting.   Someone remind me how Howie knows what he's doing with the cap?   All he's done is kick it all down the road.   And how will he fix 2021?   By kicking a lot of it to 2022.

Stat I learned the other day...

We are 4th in the league in rushing yards and yet 26th in carries.

Maybe, just maybe, when you have a gazillion changes at OL and a struggling QB, JUST MAYBE, you should be a run first offense?

Obviously I'm crazy

Doug will fix that by cutting all the RBs.

Some good news

How do you figure? New Orleans is like 95M over

I consider it non-news.  I mean, they have to.  But, he's said he wants to take a year off... minimum.

Because I didn't check them all... you are correct.   But the vast majority of the league... they are in good shape.   Saints are also in position to fight for a Super Bowl.  Eagles are looking for talent in the draft.

Let's not forget how COVID has affected the salary cap...

I just remember NO being an absurd number over the cap and going all in this year. They are better off this year than the Eagles but I expect them to fall off a cliff quickly.

In regards to the Eagles cutting Jeffery, D. Jackson, Goodwin and JJAW plus rollover puts you around -$20M. Extend Barnett off his $10M option puts you to down approx -$12M. Before the season, I think the easy decision was to restructure Wentz but I don't know about that anymore. It's going to be tight, that's for sure.

That's the big wrench thrown into all this. Howie pretty clearly banked on an expected sharp increase and got burned. Not sure how much you can blame him for that.

Yeah, any GM realizes it makes sense to push money down the line a little with the cap going up each year. It's hard to predict a global pandemic.

Lol I would love to see the Saints finally make it back to the SB just to lose so their fans can cry all off-season and try to get a rule changed

That was coming when Brees retired anyway.  So, it was a smart move by them, I think.

I blame him a pretty good amount.  He's been kicking this can down the road for a while.

Used both Howard and Sanders in the backfield last year against Buffalo, I think... turned into a 50 yard TD.

Yup. Then never again. No idea why. It was awesome to see and it worked great

Closest I can think of is Rodgers

I don't know how anyone can defend him. Both cap and draft suck. We were misled into thinking he was some guru

Howie got his ring and "executive of the year” and got lazy and sloppy. Time to move on
