Meh, I don't think he needs to scream at them. What the hell is the coaches job?

He doesn't need to scream at them but he can push them and light a fire under them. He is the captain of the team and he needs to hold people accountable. You can't just rely on coaches to do all the dirty work.

Reading this feels like it might be directed or at least related to the report of Carson being sloppy in practice.

LOL you are stretching it pretty far to get to "this is a Carson Wentz Issue"....  He doesn't even come close to dancing around a suggestion it has anything to do with Carson.

"I think it starts, definitely, in practice,” Graham said on Wednesday afternoon. "I think some of the stuff that’s showing up out there, we’re just being real with ourselves, is happening in practice. Jumping offsides, pre-snap penalties, false starts, people dropping balls, us not getting off the rock. It’s just all stuff that we need to hone in on as a team. And I think we’re doing a good job of addressing that elephant in the room.”

Too bad the coaches only want Alshon content.

1st how do you know he doesn't do that?  2nd it is the coaches job to light fires and hold people accountable that's why they get paid they are responsible for many things but that is one of them.

The article didn't say that. Unless I missed it somewhere

You are right, it didn't. I was just lumping a bunch of articles earlier in the year where some anonymous players were saying he made himself more approachable and was putting in an effort to go out of his way to bond with teammates, and then mixing in the article with Wentz thinking practice is fine but Graham thinks differently. It's an assumption but I wouldn't be surprised.

I'm not saying he does or doesn't, just that it's important for a leader of the team to do, and if he's not he should.

I agree with you that Graham did a good job keeping this referenced to the team rather than any individual.  I would guess Graham, Cox, and maybe Rodney McLeod are the dressing room leaders on defense.  The leaders on offense would include Johnson, Kelce, and probably not even Peters at this stage.  Wentz needs to be at the forefront of that leadership group on offense

I think Carson feels like he's trying hard in practice and is defending himself against the "sloppy" accusation he even said practice isn't prefect but that's what practice is for.

It's reading between the lines. You don't think its somewhat weird a report about Wentz being sloppy in practice floats out and two days later Graham is talking about things that need to improve in practice?

This looks great — the Eagles are a higher playoff seed than SEA, TB, and LAR. 😂

I'm a Doug defender, but he looks exhausted, the team has no life and his play-calling is not working with the personnel.

Unless we beat good teams (not the NFCE), he's going to have to go

I don’t see it this year.

I'll take off my self admitted tin foil hat now. It just seems that there is a lot of smoke over the years in regards to Wentz intangibles like locker room leadership, approachability etc. It's a bit concerning.

I think people read too much into things. Thats how conspiracy theories start

Same Roster with the right coach is a 10 win team healthy.

I dont care how bad you think Dillard is, he's still better then 81 year old JP

Lane is playing like a JAG, when healthy he's an all pro.

And once again, a top 10 pick is a lot harder(still possible) to miss on than a mid 20 pick

*sh!t* i think with the right COACH THIS YEAR... it's an 8 win team. No excuse for the Giants loss coming off the bye, the Bengals or the Redskins game.  ZERO.

Why will Lane be healthy next year?

Do we really know that Peters won’t be the LT next year?  I’m not joking.

They are currently in first place.  Don’t expect a top 10 pick.  I believe the team with the worst record to lose in round 1 of the playoffs gets #19.

I think Wentz has been put in a really hard position, taking the starting QB spot back for Super Bowl hero Nick Foles. That was always going to be a huge challenge, one people overlook.

Yes Wentz has his issues, One of which is he doesn't trust his Oline or his WR's

And for good reasons.

Definitely better than last year lol

Fulgham played all but eight snaps against the Giants. Alshon played 18.

This goes back to what I said earlier. As long as there's a chance the Eagles will play who they feel is better. In Jason and Alshon's case I'm not sure I agree that they are better.

I don't know that they are better...  but you are correct, they will do what they feel most comfortable with.  And what I think is that they are afraid for Jason Peters.

I think the team would have to make significant improvements to be a Super Bowl contender in 2021.  I don't think anyone will have any expectation of them being a Super Bowl contender next season.  Of course, people thought the Cowboys were a contender and even with Dak it should have been apparent that their defense wasn't going to be nearly good enough.

People are idiots.   The Cowboys were terrible from the beginning.

Probably because he was asked about it from a reporter.  Its not like he searched out a platform and started talking about it.  He got asked a question from a report about practice habits and that was his answer.

Yup.

i think a top 5 pick is in the cards , nothing this team has shown shows me that they won't finish last in this division. sad for me to admit that but it's most likely the best thing that could happen to this cap troubled and old team that needs to get rid of bad contracts.
