Injury report was much improved last week as well, and the team was rested coming off the bye week.

I think the Browns are going to win rather easily and decisively this Sunday.

I mean over early would at least mean it's less stressful.  I am saying I am hopeful but it wouldn't shock me if the Eagles won this game.  Not because they should win but because they have won games like this in the past.

I tend to believe that coaching at this point is the bigger culprit.  If the main problem was the defense, I would agree wholeheartedly. If the WR position was still problematic, I would also be inclined to agree.  I don't think the primary  problem is talent.  I am not saying it hasn't been an issue.  I just think the bigger issue is coaching.

I think it's both.  I don't need to measure one or the other.   They all need to go.

Anyone else find it interesting that Alshon comes back to the active roster a few weeks ago, gets to play in one game, and immediately after that a report comes out about Carson at practice?  Yeah... I want that snake gone.

It did crack me up that both Doug and Carson said the same thing along the lines of "Media doesn't even get to see the full practice so how is this report out there?" as if they are completely oblivious to Alshon and Scandrink constantly trashing the team to the media.

Could be. It just raises a red flag that something is off with the team in practice. Wentz reportedly being sloppy is another red flag. It could me nothing, it could mean something more. Like I said, its just a lot of smoke.

Alshon is back at practice, right?  He's likely wearing a wire.

I am not against entirely a partial fix.  I don't think this season should be used as a basis to get rid of Doug.  I am also not sure Howie deserves to be fired for the job he does.  I do think he needs to be moved out of the personnel side of things.

I don't know.  The reports haven't come from Josina.

Its nice to see Alshon branching out.

They can keep Doug, but they need to clear out nearly the rest of the coaches.  Simply the chain of command for offense, through an OC... that calls the plays.  I'd take a whole new defensive staff.

I've never seen you this down on the team.  Take a breather, bud.

What?

Did Danny Green make a shot all postseason for the Lakers? It didn't seem like it.

He struggled so bad with us. He wasn't the Danny Green were use to seeing. I'm glad they got Schroder in return for him

Fulgham played all but eight snaps against the Giants. Alshon played 18.

My issue is more of the lack of targets and his declining targets over the last three weeks. Gone from 11 to 7 to 5. And we also tend to not go to him enough early in games. Dallas and first giants game especially well waited until later in the game. That’s my bigger gripe when it comes to fulgham at the moment. Somehow reagor has a team high 13 over the last two games. Feels like the eagles are trying to force an issue to justify that pick.

Looks like a salary dump.  1 year of Green making around 15 mil dumps 3 more years of Horford at 27 mil.

I’d still take Danny green on a one year deal giving up that for horford. Horford is bad. I’m shocked they were able to actually unload him.

Obvious salary dump...which means it's likely more moves are coming, imo.

Yeah but he is only under contract for another year so he’s an expiring contract. Horford declining and big money for 3 more years. It was absolutely stupid that the sixers signed him originally. They should’ve just ran it back and if it didn’t work you at least could’ve dealt butler or whomever after that.

He is an expiring contract which helps if a team wants to shed salary for summer of 2021 (good FA class) and unload someone with a big salary who doesn’t fit or no longer wants to be there.

I think the entire strategy for bringing Horford in was so that they could give Embiid 15-20 games off (or light work) per season...and they would still maintain a winning record when Embiid was resting/low minutes.  Obviously that never happened.

I would like to see Fulgham, Reagor and Goedert dominate the targets Sunday.

Frankly, we should be manufacturing touches for Reagor via screens, jet sweeps and tap passes as an extension to the run game. I want to see a deep shot or two to him. I want to see the deep crossers that let him run away from DBs.

Goedert is our best pass catcher IMO. I’m not sure why we haven’t gotten him going.

As for Fulgham, it’s probably just a combination of getting Reagor and Goedert back plus a little extra attention from defenses. He was a few inaccurate passes/tough drops away from a decent game. They had one nice play dialed up for him on a corner route, but Wentz was sacked before he could deliver the pass. It was probably a 20-plus yard pass.

Quotes from BG today:

 - "I think it starts, definitely, in practice,” Graham said on Wednesday afternoon. "I think some of the stuff that’s showing up out there, we’re just being real with ourselves, is happening in practice. Jumping offsides, pre-snap penalties, false starts, people dropping balls, us not getting off the rock. It’s just all stuff that we need to hone in on as a team. And I think we’re doing a good job of addressing that elephant in the room.”

- "If you jump offsides? Be accountable and pull yourself out of the rep.”

Crystal clear the issues here are a lack of accountability and that falls on Doug. He’s way too much of a players coach, way too soft, to actually hold anyone accountable. Tra Thomas was talking about players regularly showing up late to practice this year. Now this quote from BG that they’re making clear errors in practice.

Doug needs to go. Once that chill precedent is set with the team that he will accept these types of things without discipline there’s no changing that until there’s a new coaching staff.

I just don't see Doug giving up play calling. And if he's forced to I think it will strain whatever relationship he has with the FO even more.

Do you have anyone in mind for DC?

I kind of feel like we've wasted Cox's prime years trying to get another DT to help him with the triple teams he used to get but most became injured and didn't work out.

I hope Kelce makes his decision soon after the end of the season. I think they should still plan ahead anyway

When Brooks finally comes back will he stay healthy?

For just a 1/2 seems like a great deal. Green was just a salary OKC needed to shed as part of the deal. Green is a great locker room guy, but he’s not the defender he used to be.

I don’t have a problem with reagor getting touches. I have an issue with targeting him the most. Much like what you said they need to use him in the run game. They should be watching tape of how shanahan has used deebo and aiyuk the last two years. Cause he can do a lot of what deebo can. Also like to see a deep shot as well.

yeah I’m puzzled as well with goedert. With ertz out i feel like he should be dominant out there and we just really haven’t gone to him enough. he has had 7 targets in two games since he returned. He had two over throws last game  and the rest felt like he was a last resort option for wentz.

I feel like we need to get fulgham more involved early. It seems like he’s always getting involved later in the game. I think if you can get him going early then teams are much more concerned with him and might be able to get reagor some softer coverage or maybe a coverage breakdown as they are concerned with fulgham and you see a big play for reagor.

also would like to see the eagles do a wheel route with sanders once a game. If you set it up properly with the play calling i think it is a easy way to get a big chunk play

That quote i feel is directed at malik. He jumped offsides in that giants game when it was 3rd and 8 on the opening drive. That was a big penalty cause it made it much more manageable for the giants to continue the drive and convert. The giants have been bad on 3rd and long. And then he had a dumb penalty even though the game was basically over.
