It's sickening. And to think , Jefferson looks even better than him at this point when he was a rookie. We could of had BOTH on this team simultaneously. Lurie needs to make the necessary moves but I don't think he will, and we're the ones that have to suffer. I think it's gonna be a long couple of torturous years coming up.

watching the game tonight, and i see 2 teams with full starting olines...... 

amd if it were the eagles, we would have lost another one by now, after starting 3 or 4 backups.

I think you have to factor in the Wilson factor with Metcalf.  Wilson is probably the best QB in the NFL right now at buying time and putting pressure on DBs to keep up with their coverage.  How many of his big plays are because Wilson runs around and the DBs just can't cover that long?  Yes, he is a physical freak and can make plays without that extra time Wilson adds to the equation, but on another team I don't think he'd be quite as prolific as he is on SEA.

I think Metcalf puts up stats on any team that he’s on. If he was on a bad team, you could make the case that he puts up more stats since those teams seem to throw more since they’re usually losing.

DK is a very good receiver that would be a starter for the Eagles. Sure you’re right but the fact is JJAw can’t beat out Greg Ward.

No doubt he'd put up stats, but I think he landed on the best team for him.  He'd still be good on other teams, but not as good as he is on SEA, IMO. 

I'll be honest and say that he's surprised me.  I wasn't real big on him in the draft due to really only having 1 good college season and he seemed a bit too raw and unpolished and then the neck medical red flag.  I remember Mike Mamula being a freak athlete and testing ridiculous at the combine and he didn't live up to his hype so just because Metcalf is a freak athlete I wasn't sold on him.  But he came out hot right out of the gates and he's a player.  Shows you never know. 

I'm in the camp of a few here who say it's not that we passed on Metcalf, but that we thought JJAW was good enough to use a 2nd round pick on.  The latter is more the failure than the former.  Remember, 31 teams passed on Metcalf TWICE.  So we're not an outlier there.

Someone was telling me in another thread that the fans are clueless because we don’t know that you can’t plug Metcalf into our scheme because he’s not a fit ... he’s right because you have to be slow and can’t catch to be a good fit for our scheme. What scheme do we run anyways ? The friggn 5 yard curl route scheme ?? Whatever scheme it is we need to stop trying to fit players into it and draft players and fit a scheme around them. 
 

If Metcalf is not a fit for your scheme but somehow JJAW is, then it’s time for a new scheme.
