I don’t know just how unimpressive this Eagles team is at their best...but I do believe we will see their absolute best A game on Sunday.  This will be the absolute best game they play all year.

They are so bad that still may not be enough to win against Cleveland, but it will be their best game.  I think it will be enough.

That’s the good news.  The bad news is that every game after will be downhill.

He's so good

I was really afraid I'd be a racist tonight. Good thing the football player guys' jerseys told me not to!

Surprised walterfootball has him rated as the #8 WR prospect right now.  That’s bound to rise.

Just to be safe, maybe you’d better buy one and wear it around for awhile

Yay or nay?

Just remember the jersey the other 364 days!

Don’t know how Lane picked up a neck injury

Whiplash as he watches how quickly Matt Pryor is beaten.

A potentially bogus neck injury that may not sideline him at all is hardly any tipping point, but you will eventually see that the time to cash out and sell high on Lane is nearing.

Well, the time to do it without making the cap situation worse is still a little in the distance.

Backup center to fill in for Embiid and give them up to about 10 quality minutes?   Yeah... that's a good move.  If they plan to play him with Embiid at all, then hard pass.

and this is intriguing

I'm going to say yay.  He had a dynamic goofball personality but has also had a lot of success despite having such a seemingly jokester approach to the game.  I think Embid can learn from him how to keep the personality but also work out like a warrior to be the best he can.  He's a shredded athletic freak who can hopefully show Embid how to prepare his body for the NBA, shed the fat and dominate.

Only downfall is he is more than likely just a stop gap at 34.  Should bring some exciting above the rim play.

I don't know much about him but the minute I hear about a DE bend I get flashbacks to the Eagles trying to sell Derek Barnett to us with how good his bend is and how flexible his ankles are.

Of course he is... he's a backup center.   Those types are normally stop gaps.  But, he's not a bad player, and he knows how to play quality minutes in big games.

Oh yeah, I know.   I actually liked the potential that Norvel Pelle showed last year as a young developmental center.

I was curious what they planned to do when they let him go... well, now we know.  This is a move made by a 'contender' rather than a team that is still looking to climb the hill.   Morey is putting the pieces around Joel and Ben and making it their show.  They can sink or swim together this upcoming season.  If they prove they can play together, Morey will add to them next offseason.  If not, he will move one (or both, depending on what he can swing in deals) and go in a different direction.

Saw afterwards it’s vet minimum too. I don’t follow basketball much but minimum sounds like a good word to me

Yea, I know the name just didn’t know if he’s completely washed at this point

I have been touting Stevenson for two years now.

We have wrs tho,  but now no QB

I still think it’s too little too late, but this new Sixers management seems to have a clue.
