Fun stat of the day, with the Browns win last week against the Texans, Baker Mayfield became the QB with the most wins at Cleveland’s home stadium which has been used since 1999. The previous record holder was Ben Roethlisberer.

This has been a dream of mine since we signed him. I know I’m excited lol

I am.  I think like Mailata, he's a guy who is a gamer.  I've wanted to see him active for some time now.  Hope he gets more than a few reps.

He wants to own the eagles one last time

I'm just hoping PSU losing out might be an end to Franklin.   I don't think it will though.

Fat chance. The PSU AD just gave him a nice fat extension. I have a bad feeling we will have to deal with this clown for at least another 2 years.

@In2football

Eagles 24 Browns 19. Let's win eleven in a row and shut everyone up.

Haven't been reading anything all week, but I'm assuming that the Dolphins decision to release Jordan Howard was related to the comp pick formula. And I guess that means the Eagles won't be getting the late round pick they were anticipating. Kinda sucks, but what can you do. We played that game last year too with Fort and Sendejo, so you can't blame other teams for taking advantage.

Okay, so by my count, the Eagles have 48 players on their active roster (as of Friday, I guess) and need to add five guys, as well as designate the two "free" call-ups off the practice squad. What moves have they made?

I'm worried that tomorrow's game might be played in the rain. Saw an extended forecast the other day that kinda looked ominous for the Great Lakes area on Sunday. Hope that's not the case.

Go Birds.

@In2football

i want to pick the eagles but i can’t 16

browns 27

So Franklin sucking this year could help him in the sense that if they go 7-5 or 8-4 next season it’ll look like a big improvement.

@In2football

Eagles 28, Browns 24

Eagles come out with fire for once, and the offense actually looks like an NFL offense for a little bit. Browns are frauds and won't have their best player.

I am fine with them mostly losing out. This is a bad team and I say it every week but this team needs changes top to bottom that wont happen if they squeak in again. Need someone better making picks, Howie needs to be back in the basement, Jimbo needs to go, Doug needs a real OC, and they need to clean up some of these bad contracts. They also need to play the young guys like Maliata.

Maybe not yet, but he has that kind of ceiling.

Now, who was more raw as a WR coming into the league?

I honestly am not sure. I would think DK would be the less developed but I could be wrong.

Megatron was anything but raw coming into the league...he only went the GT to stay close to home.  He was pretty much a complete product coming out of HS.

I certainly hope not.  I wonder if he had a flail chest.  If not,  don't want to end up that way with another hit.

I really doubt he had that...if he did, I don’t think anyone would be talking about a timeframe for return.  He’d be done for the year.  I’m assuming he has several hairline non displaced fractures.

The media and beat reporters tend to overstate the less common football injuries such as fractured ribs and "collapsed lungs.”  Most radiologists will call a pneumothorax adjacent to any rib fracture they see.

Same thing with the spleen lacerations.

Wow, I've never heard of a player injuring that many ribs.  How is that even possible with a chest guard?

In theory, we're built for bad-weather games. We have a strong arm QB. We have physical OL/DL. But I don't trust Doug to ride Miles enough, or the LBs to not give up a massive TD. I could easily see us have a lot of 3 and outs, while also giving up a 60 yard TD run.

Cleveland has played these types of games twice already. They lost to the Raiders and beat the Texans. That experience matters.

Yep, it's just that CLE is even better built for them.

I have torn feelings for this game.  The Giants game last week showed me a lot... and not much of it was good.  But I can't pull for the draft pick while there are real games to be played.
