I'd suggest you have serious mental issues if you read this much into Doug's public persona. Go get help.

Again, your response to my criticism is just weird. Talk about projecting.

It's your, cowboy. And why is my response weird? Please explain. You are proclaiming our coach to be an arrogant, passive aggressive jerk, and I've questioned why you think that, pointing out your likely mental retardation. Don't be sad.

That's a rather small view of the situation.  He's looking more Macro.  If you can't see that this team isn't built for the future, then your living too much in the here and now.  Name one player under the age of 25 (other than Miles Sanders) that has shown real promise on this roster.  I'll take my answer off the air.

Reagor? Maybe? Goedert as well. (Though he's 25).

The way this has triggered you is very strange.

Seriously dude, this is not normal.

When you draft like garbage and make stupid trades you have to shell out money to aged veterans past their prime in order to field a team.  Those guys get hurt.  There is no logical defense of this Front Office.

All of this !!!!

Golden Tate - Help[ed win us a playoff game

Derek Barnett- Serviceable DE

Andre Dillard - 2nd year player showed potential as a rookie

Nelson Agholor - Likely a bust - did have a good year with us and was a key player in the Super Bowl win

JJAW - Jury still out

Mack Hollins - Decent special teams player for a few years.

Sidney Jones - Didn't work out

Eric Rowe - Didn't work out

Genard Avery - Jury still out

Marcus Smith Bust

Donnel Pumphrey- Didn't work out

Jalen Hurts - could end up helping a ton in the future

Darren Sproles - Wasn't paid that much

Desean Jackson - Hurt last season after a pro-bowl type performance in game 1....if he's healthy most of the year, will likely be top WR on the team

Brandon Graham Old - Still gets his 8 sacks a year - nothing to complain about here, tbh

I fixed it for you.  There's always two ways to look at things.

Oooph...that's an ugly list.

I do think re-signing Graham was a good decision. And I'm not ready to give up on Barnett just yet. Dude just needs to figure out how to stay healthy.

The rest of those moves....oh boy...

It's fine. You can always look at what color the philly area is and figure it out from there.

Enjoy all YE " The End is Nigh" folks, the next few days are yours because once the Eagles beat the Rams, it'll be all smiles and unlimited potential round here.

No... But you can see a good team that can compete and a bad team that stutters in to the play offs...

SF are a good team despite not winning the SB last year. Baltimore are a good team. NO are a very very good team. You don't have to win it but you do have to compete. Stumbling in to the play offs and not going much further isn't necessarily the sign of a good team. Especially with increased numbers making the play offs.

2017 we won it all 3 years later doom and gloom?

I'm going to have to go ahead and be contrarian again .....

Watched Batman Begins last night; it's a better movie than The Dark Knight.

Alshon $$ - Bad second contract but a good FA signing

Golden Tate Bad Trade - Agree

Derek Barnett Bust - He would be a great 3rd round pick

Andre Dillard Bust - McDougled

Nelson Agholor Bust - I mean he had 2 OK seasons and 2 terrible seasons

JJAW Ghost - DK Metcalf will probably go to the HOF

Mack Hollins Waste - 4th round pick that played OK as a rookie

Sidney Jones Bust  He did break up that one pass in the Dallas game last season

Eric Rowe Bust -  Rowe gave us Josh Sweat or Avonte Maddox I think

Genard Avery Bad Trade - Who is Genard Avery?

Marcus Smith Bust - Worse pick than Jon Harris

Donnel Pumphrey (moved up) Bad Trade/Bust/Joke of a RB - Worse pick than Siran Stacey

Jalen Hurts Ridiculous pick for a team with so many holes - Yes

Jason Peters Old and $ - I mean signing him this past season seems like it was better than putting a traffic cone

Darren Sproles $$ brought back to get injured too often  - Darren Sproles?

Desean Jackson Old and $- Yes

Brandon Graham Old and $- meh - I mean his value is reasonable and he is still the best DE on the team.

By "naturally occurring” I meant your core group of players getting older and having to replace them with younger talent. Howie so far has not done well with this. A large reason why is he stuck with the old core for too long and didn’t commit to a hard retooling youth movement until this last draft.

As for your list, Rowe and Agholor are from 2015 when Chip was GM so 100% his fault. Smith, who knows I guess you can blame Howie at least 50%. Some of the other moves on your list are bad but hardly franchise crippling and big reasons to fire him. His worst moves were Alshons contract situation, JJAW, Jones and dipping too much into the old gang well. He also kicked too much of the can down the road but this is also magnified by unprecedented times which we are all in this together.

And as I said, he absolutely should be held accountable and critiqued for his bad decisions. But to outright fire him now while we have had 3 straight winning seasons with playoff performances is extremely premature. He deserves at least one losing season before being in the hot seat. There are a ton of way worse GM’s out there that do way dumber things.

All I'm saying is don't overreact, if you can figure out a way to give Carson a yard of space " 3 feet" between him and the OL's a** in front of him in the pocket, you're easily 1-0 right now.

Life has a way of not living up to your highest expectations, doesn't mean it's not worth the ride.  It's all a crapshoot. Eagles block and tackle well on Sunday. They'll win. Simple as that.

This is not a bottom third of the NFL roster despite what you think.

So, Dougs excuse for the lack of movement, end arounds, jet sweeps, roll outs, etc is because we were "behind the sticks" too much.

Therefore, he just chose to drop Wentz straight back all day and let the WFT d-line tee off on him and our makeshift OL.

Makes perfect sense.

It is unconscionable.

My issue with last Sunday's loss wasn't on any particular player performing poorly, although some did.  Pederson got outcoached, badly, and it's troubling that he doesn't seem to be aware enough to say "I need to do better".

It happens, and I'm hopeful he'll put together a much better game plan against the Rams.

forget about him winning a superbowl in 2017 because he got lucky with the older star players that fell to his lap that pushed this team to the sb win, it doesnt happen often. but to use that one lucky year to excuse him for his bad draft picks every year again, again, again and again it's a recipe for failure because it will drag this team down to the toilet like the browns, it's all about your ego, if you get rid of him after the 2020 and get an experienced gm that knows how to draft players from great college teams maybe this team will go back to the winning ways.

losing picks every year is not for recipe for success, you are going to be a bad team, open your eyes man.

My impression is that Pederson was given these new flashy toys to improve the vertical passing game. He was hell bent to do so. He eschewed a gradual approach to transform the offense for an all-or-nothing approach. There is no doubt that the vertical passing game needed improvement, but there is also no doubt that the team has had some success without one. I think a better mixture of the new and the old would have been prudent.
