With how many times Jaron Brown is on this list, its amazing he's still in the NFL

They are 64 million over the cap.  That’s a fact.  They are old on both lines.  That’s a fact.

Neither do you when saying Reagor has shown promise after 1 game.

Ahh yes.  Spelling police.  Thank you.  I’m an idiot for not editing.  Thanks

They are projected 64 million over the "estimated cap" that's a fact. Next year hasn't happened yet, that's a fact. Old people get cut or retire that's a fact. We continue to have winning seasons after winning a super bowl. That's a fact.

Man.  Some fans just can take the truth.  You’ll see.

I think it's perfectly normal to be concerned about the cap and an ageing roster. But to think that it's not fixable at all and the future is set in stone is foolhardy.

If it becomes truth you may have a point.

greend: Sorry salesman x I have to let you go.

X: But why I lead the company in sales 3 years ago and have hit my numbers every year after that?

greend: Sure and I would take that but I have a feeling that you aren't going to keep hitting those. I mean you didn't hit your numbers this month.

X: It's January.

greend: shrugs

In follow up to an exit interview:

boss:  Where is the loyalty?  We gave him an above average raise (3.5%) just two years ago.

HR: He didn’t say that he left for more money.

boss:  What did he say?

HR: He said he left to pursue other options.

boss:  I thought he was happy.  He was a good performer.

HR:  Employees don’t leave for money, they leave bosses.

boss (under his breath as he leaves office):  HR people are morons.

Sure, it is what have you done for me lately.  Productivity is always monitored.  But by the same token, learning on the job doesn’t happen in a week.   I get your "January”, hope you got mine.

Doug has this team contending for the playoffs every year, even though we have a crappy division, we're still in it every year. The man won it all only 3 years ago, but he's a trash coach now and so arrogant he thinks he's a genius. You guys are bonkers.

I didn't call for Doug's head though. I didn't say he was a trash coach.

2017 we won it all 3 years later doom and gloom?

Why is that so unbelievable? Teams age. That happens. Teams decline. That also happens. I don't see why its such an outlandish comment to say this team is headed the wrong way. That is what the evidence shows.

Regarding the O line.

Name one NFL team that has enough O line depth to make up for losing your all pro RG and the supposed replacement for your HOF LT before the first snap of the regular season.

Dillard may not pan out as we'd hoped but at least they had a plan to replace JP

That's fair but I think ESP made a good point after the Washington loss. Yeah I know ESP! He said that the amount of injuries the team suffers probably isn't that much different to a lot of other teams. The issue is the depth just isn't there so injuries are so much more impactful on this team.

You just care about the record.  That’s what you said.  Not me.

BTW.  Have you made your prediction for this week yet?

Yes

That's not the outlandish part. The outlandish part is complaining about the GM even if in your own words "these things happen"

There probably isn’t a single team that could have quality depth at LT and guard. It’s not realistic.

But if you draft better then you don't have these issues. And when you do they are limited rather than being a huge issue across the roster.

That’s the advantage of having two very good tight ends. I’m also assuming that opposing D-Coordinators view Ertz more like a big slot receiver.

Peters wasn’t good Sunday, but he was the best backup LT in the NFL prior to Dillard going down (yes, he was at RG but he was always going to move back to LT if Dillard got hurt). It’s unreasonable to expect a third LT be a quality player or prospect.

As for RG, it seems the Eagles misjudged Pryor.

Absolutely. It's my antijinx and you mind ya bidness

Perhaps not no OL aside though... Nate Gerry is a starter on this team. I doubt he starts for many of the contending teams. Not sure he's even next up on a lot of those teams. Mills at Safety. It's an experiment I know but still... Maddox at outside corner. Scott and Clement as RB #2 & 3.

Fair point.  But that's this season.  I'm looking more at the big picture going forward.

If BB is healthy, he's still 31 and still injury prone.

Dilliard is a big question mark.

Seamaulo (spelling police can suck it) is settled in.

Kelce is old.

Lane Johnson is great but now 30.

Draft Trey Smith in the 1st round in April please and thank you.

You'll never get an arguement from me about spending a lot of draft capital on the O line

Shame they can't apply the same to the DL too.

I'm with you though. If Stoutland is such a great coach then we should expect to see positive results from the guys he's been given.

Then maybe a coach should call a game that minimizes the decline in play rather than maximizing it.  Can't roll out on 2nd and 7-10-more because they need plays that produce more yards? Please, Carson can stretch the field from anywhere behind the line of scrimmage.  Doug sucks left to his own devices.
