Yep 3 consultants.  Rich, Marty and there's also some other guy and I don't remember his name. Also, Press is supposedly part of that offensive minds setup with him being QB coach and part role in creating the offense.

Well that's the million dollar question then.

Doug may be persona non grata right now...but if they forced him to fire his assistants and forced this bloated, asinine coaching structure upon him, then I'm not sure how much blame we can heap upon his lap at that point.  That's all on Howie.

If they gave him the leeway to F up the coaching structure and the offense on his own, then it's on him...and Howie/Lurie for dictating the firings and then choosing to sit back and letting Doug burn it down all over again with the new hires.

So because the Dolphins are doing something then we should too?

Wentz has statistically been one of, if not, the worst quarterbacks in the league. It’s not the end of the world and you’re not giving up on him if you bench him. Reid did it with McNabb back in ‘08 as well.

If I were Lurie, I would be pretty upset right now. He is paying Rich and Marty money to help improve the offense and this offense is terrible. The first move should be to can those guys, even if it isn't their fault.  It's just a waste of money. Hire an OC and Lurie needs to tell Doug that he might want to consider delegating playcalling responsibilities because if things continue then changes will have to be made.

Must be nice to pay those guys probably millions to actually screw up the offense even more

BTW... Can Joe Buck stop anointing players to the Hall of Fame?   Philip Rivers is a Hall of Famer now?   Not so sure about that.  0 Super Bowls.  Not a great record in playoff games overall.   Played in a little market without a big following.   These things matter... and frankly, he's been overrated for a long time. He's a stat accumulator... but I don't think he's a lock for the Hall.

It's an interesting convo IMO. Eli is probably a lock for the Hall because of those SB wins but he's had a bunch of season of bad play

At least one of the following should be fired tomorrow:

Doug Pederson

Marty Morhinweg

Press Taylor

Rich Scangarello

Honestly wouldn't mind all 4

Well, back in 2017. He and his high school girlfriend broke up. Then, he started dating a new girl for just a few months and then he gets married after the Super Bowl. Then, he has a kid fast. So, he might be having trouble balancing family man (getting action) and still be that nerdy guy that his ex-girlfriend always said was in his playbook when they were out together. So, it could be part of it. I don't think it's all of it though.  We never hear now that he is the first in and last to leave.  I'd be curious to know how much extra time he is putting in now vs. a few years ago.

I’m saying I don’t necessarily believe it was Doug’s call. Doug wanted to keep his guys. They brought in a ton of guys with different concepts, and yet Doug’s offense looks completely the same. I’m betting it was Howie. It doesn’t make sense that it was Doug’s idea to bring in all these guys and then just ignore them.

If it was Howie, then it's even more grounds for Lurie to fire Howie.  But, I get the feeling that Howie is the guy that Lurie views as his security blanket in the office. So, I just can't see him axing him.

I get the sense that hiring the consultants was the last step before firing Doug.

His uncle hasn't posted in here in awhile. I think he's been in CVON for most of the season

So if we fire Doug and completely clean house, who is the bright offensive mind we can hire to fix Wentz or develop Hurts?

Joe Brady?

Them what?

It’s for the best, I think. It would suck to read posts (correctly) bashing your nephew’s terrible play.

I predict it will be Duce as HC and Taylor as OC.

I wouldn't vote either of them into the HoF if I were a voter.   Eli will get in though... 2 Super Bowls, and playing in NY.  But it won't be deserved.

I feel for that guy. Carson was doing so well for the first few years and he had to be proud as a relative.   But, there's no question that Carson isn't producing and the NFL is a bottom line business. It can't keep continuing or he needs to ride the pine and/or the Eagles need to start evaluating for the future.

Maddox better get in some practice time defending Arcega-Whiteside.

Rich Kotite.

Last two games were beyond winnable even if you have a pos team like we do, this is how bad the coach is.

If Rivers had those 2 SB wins then I think he'd be a lock

Eli will get in for defensive wins

Stafford doesn't get in

Ben likely gets in

Brees no doubt

Brady and Peyton have their spots already there lol

I don't think it's a coincidence that Alshon's return has immediately led to back to back poor performances from Fulgham.

I’m still blaming Doug for his boring, predictable plays including the Jalen Hurts package which literally never changes. And it’s not like this offense would be any better with Groh and Walch still here.

I just find it hard to believe the guy that wanted to do the simple thing and run it back is going to choose to do a complete 180 and bring in all these guys that do something different. And then just ignore them anyway and do the same old thing. If anything, the series of events lead me to believe Howie/Lurie don’t like Dougs offense, they made him fire his coordinators and bring in all these guys including going buck wild with speed players during the offense to change it, and Dougs just doing his usual thing.
