This week's winner was br3 with a 24 -17 predictions

Value eagle and b3 with honorable mentions and leanmeangm was close on the score but had wrong winner.

After yesterday I won't be reading a lot but will pick up scores. Its sad but we are trending towards needing a qb.

The extra offensive help is one problem.  They need to streamline those inputs and identify the plays that works.  More concerning is that the team has not been able to make in-game adjustments to turn things around, or stop the slide.

Unlike Foles, Wentz has not been effective with RPO.  He is still holding on the ball too long, that could be the results of receivers not getting open and/or the OL getting beat too fast.  Simplify the plays and shorten the progressive reads.  Throw the ball away is still a fine option.

The team holds on to vets too long.  Yes, they brought the SB win to the team and city.  Injuries become an issue and some are no longer able to perform.  It is time to let them go.  Go young and let the inexperienced one play more snaps.

Howie and Doug are part of the problem.  Not sure if Lurie would make the wholesale change.  Howie can move to just the contract and cao management.  Get someone else for talent evaluation and draft.  Like the suggestion for Doug to refresh his staff for one more season.  If that does not bring progress, he will be moved as well.

Seattle -4 against the Eagles next week. Just put everything i won on the Browns on Seattle

The Eagles have never beat Russell Wilson. They like to throw and have a mobile QB.
They play basic coverages and dare the QB to be "perfect" up and down the field by avoiding big plays.

This line should be 7 at least.

I’m guessing it’s more about the medical staff probably not letting him go back on the field to get through the first half and playing through it without the brace until halftime.

I wonder if he was just pissed that he got hurt.

Could be that also. However on the video he’s walking with a staffer and doesn’t have his helmet. I kind of feel it was likely both getting injured and that he couldn’t go back in the game at that point

I said in another thread yesterday, the things Russell Wilson will do to this defense would be censored on PornHub.

It's a flawed statement anyway. How is it sending the wrong message to the team? How is it saying that the season is over if you bench Wentz?

The team are 3-6-1! This is a bad football team who are only in with a chance of the play offs because the division sucks. And as of Thursday it is very very likely that this team will no longer be in number 1 position in the divison.

Wentz sucks, has sucked all year. Surely the players don't really care who is starting as long as it gives the team the best chance to win? Well guess what... Wentz isn't giving this team the best chance of winning. Keeping Wentz in there is sending the wrong message for every single reason imaginable.

Its coachspeak man, just get over it

Dont wont bench Carson because he cant.

First off, go ahead and name all the players on offense who are playing well.  That would be zero.  Fulgham is coming back to earth, Miles had another soft fumble at the goal line, maybe Goeddert?

Benching a QB is for when the QB is obviously holding the team back.  That's not the case here. The entire team is playing like crap.   Benching Wentz would be seen as a desperation move to save Dougs arse, its not the right move for the team dynamic to just bench him knowing that Hurts doesnt give the team a better chance to win.   And Wentz isnt some old vet. You just dont bench a QB like that, its juvenile.

Beyond that, Doug doesnt have the gravitas or the pull in the organization to make a decision like that.  Doug cant even run his own offense, let alone bench the franchise QB

Also, because of Hurts.  You cant voluntarily enflame the QB controversy even heading into 2021.

The Eagles FO has made this bed, theyre the only ones who can fix it.  This team is beyond what the coaches and players can repair on their own

I find it hard to imagine that Wentz lost it in one off-season, he's in a funk but geez, that's some awful OL play, Peters was a turnstile, Lane was being pushed into his lap on a regular basis, Seumalo was rusty the first half but got better as the game went along, Pryor was good run blocking but showed his slow feet in pass protection. Wentz was up and down, some bad decision making, some beautiful throws with touch.

Yes, his mechanics need work, which is why they need a better QB coach and a real OC.

Pederson has to go, he was fine with a talented, veteran team that needed a light touch, but the wrong HC for a rebuild. And that's what this team must do the next couple seasons.

The biggest problem with Howie isn't drafting (every GM has his share of misses) but the attempt to recapture the 2017 magic and not being willing to admit the party is over. The team has gotten older, slower and more injury prone, but to be fair, they brought in a lot of young talent this year, but with no pre-season or exhibition games, they've been force feed for good and evil.

This feels like this game could be similar to the 2005 mnf game where we honored Reggie white and lost by like 40.

@In2football

Seattle 51- Eagles 9

And I'm not kidding.

Probably so. And it’s on Monday night again.

At least it won’t happen on a night where we’re honoring a late team icon.

Theres still time to find an icon to honor.

How about Reno Mahe? Afterwards, he can teach Greg Ward the art of fair catching.

When AFan wants to fire the coach, it's over.

I'm currently in a "clean-house" position. Howie has shown that he does not have the patience for a rebuild. He'll get another GM job, because GMs with rings get 2nd chances. Pederson can be an OC/HC somewhere else as well if he wants to (see McCarthy, Mike).

Doug didn't bench Peters he "got injured"

So here we are.  After 10 weeks   Washington and Dallas and the Gmen all move up to 3 wins and 7 losses.   Our Eagles division lead has shrunk to 1/2 a game but we are still in first place at 3-6-1.  Hasn't been pretty at all.  There were about 3 games that were very winnable in those losses which would have flipped our record.   The Gmen ended our 5 seasons 8 game winning streak against them.  Then the Browns just ended a 26 year losing streak against the Eagles (32 years in Cleveland).   Now we get a very strong Seattle Team.   Russell Wilson and Pete Carroll have never lost to the Eagles.   Seattle is on a 6 Game Winning Streak since 2011 (Reid, Kelly, Pederson).  Including beating us in the Playoffs last year.   Donovan Mcnabb was the last Eagles QB to beat Seattle.    Our luck was bad with the Gmen and Brown ending historic streaks.   The question now is does our fortunes flip and we now end our losing streak against Seattle?   The Eagles are Undefeated in primetime this year as well.   We can't afford to fall behind any further as Washington and Dallas playing on Thanksgiving.  Someone will come out of that with 4 wins barring a tie.   They will have to play the game of their lives on Monday.

I think this team will get at least 17 garbage pts.

Sorry but Doug is part of the issue and not a solution at this point. On a side note I have to wonder what happens in meetings when they are breaking down film. Do the coaches actually talk to these players about how they are playing? Is there ever any danger of the coaches saying "you know what player x this play is unacceptable and you are not going to start next week"? I mean the whole damn team every week at almost every position conspires to do just enough bad stuff to lose us games. Carson double clutches on open receivers, fumbles and throws picks, Sanders fumbles during a very promising drive, Alshon won't try and high point a ball, ward doesn't sit down in a zone and every week screws up a decision on a punt return, oline misses blocks. Cornerbacks can't cover. About the only part of this team that plays well is the d line but they constantly jump off sides.

I just think from a management standpoint, if youve been dictating terms to Doug the entire time (hiring/firing his coaches and picking his players) then if you fire him outright, youve basically admitted that you as a manager have screwed up and not put him in a good position.  Maybe they do can him, but I doubt it.

I agree Doug is a huge part of the problem.  But theyre making it really hard on him.  They've emasculated him

And honestly, the way Doug calls games is almost like he's making sure to call every coachs favorite plays.  Like 'ok heres my play, now lets call Marty's play, and ok on this series lets go with Rich's plays...."

It leads to an incoherent, discombobulated game plan.  They don't break tendencies or even really establish tendencies (our offense has had no identity for years)... its like theyre focused on making sure they run a new play every down instead of actually scheming to use their strengths against a teams weaknesses.  This is why we have repeated targets for Greg Ward, Alshon, Rodgers, etc

Yup.  The fact that he came back out and played after halftime negates the assertion that Kelce was considering retirement in that moment.

Kelce's 2020 salary is 5.5M (non guaranteed). He's made 42M in his career. It's a tough call.

Kelce retiring also gives us an extra 5M in cap space for 2021.

Kelce is worth every penny of that $5.5M and then some.
