Wentz, on the year is now 14 for 22 with 2 touchdowns on designed roll outs

So if we play Wentz on designed roll outs his completion percentage would be 5 points worse than Justin Herbert rather than 10?

None of that matters if the offense looks better with Hurts.  In this offense IT ALL STARTS WITH THE QB.  Everything is predicated on the QB performing at a high level or at the very least, not making costly mistakes and/or turnovers.

Like I said, there's one way to find out.

It's not just about the QB performing on a high level.  It's about the QB being given the opportunity to perform.  It's a mistake to think Wentz has been handed the best personnel and coaching to run this offense.  The gameplans and playcalling are just bad.  They are arguably worse than they have been at anytime in this franchise.  I can't remember that has been as inept as this one since Dana Bible's in 1998.  Part of it falls on Wentz but it's hard to separate that out when you see how poorly they are prepared every week.

Thank you. Anyone who believes that the Eagles are just going to adjust their offense and play to the strength of the rookie in hurts when he goes out there is fooling themselves. you want anymore proof about the Eagles don’t know what the hell they’re doing with their personnel then go look at the gadget place hurts has run all season long. They are literally the same play over and over and over again. And it’s been 11 weeks of that besides one pass Jalen hurts had. If he can’t even change gadget plays over 11 weeks what makes you think this offense he’s gonna be able to mold it around what he does best?

It's Fing moronic.

I'll say it again, if what you say is true then it will be easy to see. IF Hurts has the same issues and the offense looks the same with him under center, then what you are saying will have merit.

It's simple.

Absolutely is. You would rather pick 19th?

Wentz has been given a longer leash than probably any other player in Eagles franchise history.  The entire "fanbase wants the backup" story is a fabrication when it comes to Wentz.  The team, the fanbase, the media literally picked Wentz over the guy that won them the first Super Bowl in Philadelphia history.

It took 5 years for the fans and the media to want to see what a new QB looks like in this offense.  FIVE YEARS.

I still don't want to and I'm a fan. The absolute best thing for this team is for someone to unlock the key to 2017 Wentz and I would gladly even take later part of 2019 Wentz.

That would be fantastic.  But it hasn't happened yet.

The insanity the Eagles have on offense with what they do is amazing. They use the same gadget plays with hurts. Reagor still hasn’t been used running the ball (give credit to the Carolina Panthers they are getting the most out of Curtis Samuel this year doing things the eagles could be seeing and doing like running the ball with him and the routes he’s running which allow him to use his shiftiness and speed). Goedert finally was a focal point of the offense since week 1. Miles sanders still is under used. Fulgham has regressed as the eagles continue to ignore him for the first half of games. They continue to say we should draw up more outside the pocket stuff for wentz yet run just one play.

Wentz has been awful. Like the biggest disappointment on the season. but if you believe the coaching staff has not been as awful you’re living in a delusional world. People need to actually watch football teams outside of Philadelphia. I suggest watching Carolina or Arizona or the bills on the all 22 and realize how innovative their offenses are and how creative they are with their offense. We do not run anything close to that in which they molded their offense and plays to strength of their personnel.

Pretty cool they elevated Holyfield in a bad weather game to just play him 5 ST snaps.

Wait a second, you mean Wentz has sucked the last four years? And they just now figured it out?

So the 81/21 TD/Int ratio the three previous seasons was a fluke?

Neither has benching him. This isn't all on Wentz I'm sorry if you disagree but The. whole. team. stinks.

Starts with the GM, and the coaching staff is problem #2.

It’s also why I laughed about the lip service they gave us back in April about how they were going to use Hurts like the Saints use Hill. Doug doesn’t have a quarter of the creativity or scheme design of Payton. Payton is incredible with how he uses Hill and the plays he draws up for him. Doug, on the other hand, can’t draw up anything for Hurts outside of a read option.

Hell at this point I would take lining him up at receiver and sitting alshon

I felt this way last year before December that it feels like the Eagles are just randomly picking plays out of a hat and saying oh this should work it’s in our playbook. Like there is no rhythm out there or rhyme to what the Eagles are doing. They’re not having one play build on and set up another play.

I don’t know what their playbook is but it feels very much you are restricted to those plays and no variation from what they have implemented. It does not feel like the Eagles built their offense to the personnel that they have in that building. It feels like here is our playbook, we stick with it through thick and thin because it’s good enough to work. We might not have the personnel that fits it but we’re gonna do it anyways because it’s worked in the past.

I’m actually curious to see the all 22 of the Saints this week with Hill at quarterback full-time. Because I’m guessing it’s gonna look massively different than what they were running with Drew Brees and playing to what hill does best

I guarantee it.

Well then ... better eliminate that from the playbook.

Pretty much his only positive quality in 2018-19 was his TD/INT ratio. Without that, he's just a physically talented guy who kills drives and game flow due to being erratic and inconsistent, and fumbles at a historic rate. If it were just the interceptions this year, his struggles would be easier to write off.

Did you see Carson's post game interview?  He didn't seem to take any accountability and basically said he will not change his playing style.  He also seemed cocky.  He use to be humble.  Something is off.

Absolutely you celebrate a top 5 pick

You celebrate a top 5 pick like it’s an accomplishment? It means you’re horses___. Nothing to proud of is my point.

Best case scenario:

Fire Howie

Fire Doug

Carson pulls and Andrew Luck and retires.

So maybe you can help me with this...

Did Carson call Howie and say dont draft DK and Take Reagor over Jefferson?

Did Carson call and tell Howie to draft Hurts?

Does Wentz audible out of 10-14 designed roll outs every game?

Did Wentz call Pederson and beg to get 91 year old JP to start

Does wentz tell the PR to not fair catch is so they can start every drive in the shadows of goal post

Maybe Wentz checks into screen plays that havent worked in 3 years

I can go on for days.

You guys don't seem to get it.  It's simple.  If it's every reason other than Wentz, it will be obvious if Hurts starts and the offense looks the same.  Simple.
