Doug announces Peters remains the starting LT.

This team right now can’t do anything right. Even the smallest decisions. They’ve become an abomination in every regard. They’re so full of themselves it’s embarrassing.

Option 1 - 22nd pick and getting embarrassed on national TV in a playoff game

Option 2- a top 5 pick

Yes, one is much... MUCH better than the other and will help this franchise for the next 10 years. YES. celebrate the eagles being sh!tty (just this year)

I know how it works. I just have a hard time celebrating it.

Doug said he needs to get Alshon in the game more, lol

Colin Cowherd made a good point.  He said the Eagles are like a person that wins the lottery then doesn't know how to handle it and goes broke.

They erected statues, Doug wrote a book, called winning "the new normal," and they held on to aging players from the SB team too long.  They have continually been too cocky and believing their own hype.  They keep talking about fighting and believing in themselves and getting this thing right.  But they don't change anything from week to week.

It's understandable that they thought they didn't need many changes, they won a playoff game in 2018 instead of having a SB hangover that many people expected.  But they didn't stay hungry and focused, and they didn't plan to replace the roster enough, didn't draft well enough and weren't able to make the same free agency moves that helped them.

This year they need to admit it's over and they need to rebuild and start over.  2017 was awesome.  But it was not the "normal."

They have had a Super Bowl hangover in 2019 and now 2020.   And frankly, 2018 was an ugly path to the playoffs and winning a playoff game.

But, the failures of the drafts in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 are coming back to haunt them now.    We can blame Chip for a couple of those, but evenso, Howie was still involved heavily in '14.

2014 - Marcus Smith, Jordan Matthews, Josh Huff, Jaylen Watkins, Taylor Hart, Ed Reynolds, Beau Allen  - Only Matthews and Allen ever amounted to anything, and Matthews was still a gross disappointment (could have had Davante Adams... or even John Brown).
2015 - Nelson Agholor, Eric Rowe, Jordan Hicks, JaCorey Shepherd, Randall Evans, Brian Mihalik - Agholor was the most frustrating of these, Rowe and Hicks helped us win a Super Bowl in different ways, though neither suited up in that game.  Hicks issue was injuries, but was a good pick... the others... much less so.
2016 - Wentz, Seumalo, Smallwood, Vaitai, Countess, Mills, McAlister, Walker - this draft paid dividends in the short run, but seems to have fallen short in the long term.  Seumalo is still playing at a high level.  Vaitai was an extremely valuable backup OL, and Mills, was our most consistent CB for the last 4 years (which says everything you need to know about the CB position).
2017 - Barnett, Jones, Douglas, Hollins, Pumphrey, Gibson, Gerry, Qualls.  What a terrible draft.  Barnett is giving us something, but not what he was hyped to be.  The rest are all disappointing.
2018 - Goedert, Maddox, Sweat, Pryor, Mailata - this would look better if Mailata found his way back on to the field... but Goedert and Sweat are the only ones making a difference on the field this year.  Decent depth players right now, but not exactly difference makers either.
2019 - Dillard, Sanders, JJAW, Miller, Thorson - lack of picks due to bad trades, lots of bad trades.  Dillard should have played LT last season, and we'd know more about him.  His injury sucks.  Sanders has all the ability in the world, but nagging injuries and fumbles are holding him back - plus a lack of touches... at least, partly due to the nagging injuries and fumbles, IMHO.  JJAW is a waste, as are the rest.  Horrific.
2020 - TBD.

What a terrible mess of draft picks.  I don't think there's a team in the league (at least not one that you'd want to be associated with) that has a worse draft record during that span.   You'd think they'd have hit on a perennial Pro-Bowler just by accident somewhere in there.  Maybe someday Goedert makes it.  Maybe Wentz gets fixed.  Seumalo has a chance, but needs to get a little better still.  Sanders has the ability, but hasn't had the opportunities needed.  But, frankly, from 2014-2019... that's it.  I just don't see any of the others ever even sniffing the Pro Bowl once, let alone perennially.  And THIS is why the team is where it is.  They always need to buy to fill in holes.  That's unsustainable.  That wasn't even an option pre-salary cap with the George Allen era where he'd trade away all his picks for veterans.

I want this team to go 0-6 for a top 5 pick, but we can still do that with Mailata at LT.

You guys don't seem to get it.  It's simple.  If it's every reason other than Wentz, it will be obvious if Hurts starts and the offense looks the same.  Simple.

Who has said this? Most posters have admitted that it also Wentz. Most people can also see well enough that Hurts isn't the answer.

Absolutely is. You would rather pick 19th?

Nope. Just don’t think it’s necessary to celebrate being bad. Which we are.

This alone is sufficient grounds to fire Doug.

Did anyone notice how often Mahomes and Carr were on the move last night?

Thats cutting edge football.  "Servicable" OL with emphasis on playmakers.  Its not about road grading anymore, its about speed and misdirection

And we're what feels like years behind, running tons of 12 personnel Im pretty sure only because they had both Goeddert and Ertz and want to get them on the field together (had nothing to do with 12 actually being effective)

Just crazy how deep the failure goes when you start peeling away the layers

Seriously?  Ridiculous.

This entire organization is dysfunctional.

Have him run bottles of water in and out.

So basically what I’ve been complaining about since last year, again this whole season and all day so far today is what everyone around the league is saying that our scheming and playing to our players strengths suck. Good to know others around the league see it consistently every week and me on my couch watching the all 22 are seeing the same thing.

Doug needs a serious reality check.  It is time to move on from Alshon and Peters....

I'll say it again, if what you say is true then it will be easy to see. IF Hurts has the same issues and the offense looks the same with him under center, then what you are saying will have merit.

It's simple.

Playing Hurts with this shitshow of offensive playcalling will do nothing but stunt his development.

Some one explain to me how this makes any sense.

Blaming the pandemic in week 12. Yikes.

Doug Pederson and Carson Wentz have something in common. They are both stage props. If Hanna-Barbera had to create cartoon characters for an upcoming cartoon, they would draw Doug Pederson as coach, and Carson Wentz as QB. Unfortunately though, THAT WAS IT. They look the part. When you're a hands-off 'decider', until you're exposed, that can work.

When Doug played, he was not a good QB, but he looked the part. That seemed to get him points with his coaches. DP's image will be indullably etched in my memory of 1999 as the year of the fake QB. That is until Carson Wentz came along.

Dramatic pauses and heartfelt emotion may work for John Wayne on the silver screen, but in a league who's initials mean 'not for long' there's a reality-check in real time going on. Carson the field general all of a sudden looks like a Washington General sharing the court with the Harlem Globetrotters. He still has that prototypical(hollywood)frame and athletecism. '

We can rebuild him' is probably the best approach unless we can convince another team to give him a go. Doug has decided he wants to go down with that gobsmacked look on his face. I think his future has already been decided. It'd be nice to see what Hurts looks like before the team invests in Lincoln Riley as HC. But unless Doug is fired THIS WEEK, that's not going to happen.

With so few inspirational options available, my thinking is that Jeff will hire Lincoln Riley anyway in desperation. We'll all be a little less aware of what Hurts can do for us, courtesy of outgoing Doug Pederson.

How were they checked out for runs they only ran the ball six Fing times in the second half. So even if all those checked out we Conley called for six roll outs and I’m guessing not all six runs were checked out For runs. I’m guessing at least half were called runs.

By my count that would be a possible grand total of 2 plays that Carson checked out of to runs.

This is the first Pederson PC I've watched in a long while. One thing is clearly evident... which is he has absolutely no idea of how to improve the play of his football team. He looks and sounds like an organizational leader who knows his tenure is barreling out of control and is just searching for the words that is going to get him through the PC without him exposing himself as an imposter with no answers.

Do you think the only reason Peters is still at LT is because of the raise?

I think they are literally scared of him.  And they don't want to make him unhappy.

I call BS on the second tweet. How many times did we run in the second half?
