Has anyone suggested they have? Yes

You can add Fulgham to that list.  He's likely the 3rd guy in terms of production.  Also a street pickup.

Fulgham leads the team in yards and has more TD than anyone besides Wentz, including Sanders.  And I'm not even a Fulgham believer.

I have no idea why they blew the whistle that quickly.

The Eagles won a SB after the Wentz trade.  That didn't sink them.  Blowing every single pick they had after him did.  They even lucked into a 1st rounder for Bradford, which they converted into a 3rd round pass rushing talent.  They had opportunities.

Of course.  Because draft success or failure comes 3 years or so after the fact.  So, the bad drafts took a while to really add up.  They compensated for poor drafting that Super Bowl year with great free agent signings, nearly every one was a perfect fit.  But, other than that, its been downhill fast, because they couldn't afford more free agents, and didn't have the talent to fill in the gaps.

You didn't read what I wrote very carefully or I didn't explain it clear enough.  I said that the new regime would need to be able to draft players at other positions with limited picks...  this current regime was NOT able to do that, that is what sunk them.  So, a new regime could make the same type of trade to get into the top 5 from the top 15... and have success, as long as they don't screw up all the following picks... since 2016... this team has drafted Geodert, Sanders and Seumalo and gotten decent returns.  Barnett and Vaitai could be added to that list and even Mills to some extent.  But other than them, they've gotten very little from their draft picks after Wentz.  And even Seumalo didn't really pay off until 2018 or 2019.  This year Sweat is starting to pay off, but Barnett is now becoming less impactful.  And their big money free agent signings have sucked too... Instead of bargain players that made big impacts, like Chris Long and LaGarrette Blount, we have high priced Free Agents who provide almost nothing like Malik Jackson (last year), Javon Hargrave (this year) and Desean Jackson (technically a trade, and then they paid him like a free agent... double whammy there).   Top to bottom organizational failures.

Your body will probably thank you long term for that.

I’ll say this... I’m confident the 2017 Eagles would beat either of these teams playing right now.

Give credit to the rams defense. They’ve given up just 24 or more 3 times in 10 games (so far)

Fair enough.

Goedert, Sanders, Seumalo may be decent picks intrinsically, but they are an embarrassingly awful hit list.  Up until this year, Seumalo single-handedly lost a couple games at LG per year after getting in the lineup.  This year, he's missed half the season and we miss him because we are platooning the I still use the EMB's #1 Cliche guy and a turnstile.

Goedert, for all the promise, all the hype, is a TE who blocks well and puts up average starting TE receiving #'s while missing a lot of time.

Sanders can't stay healthy, may or may not have ball security issues, and isn't used enough to really separate himself from other starting backs drafted much later.

And that's our hit list.

As bad as the Eagles have crashed and burned, we need to take a moment to appreciate just how good the 2017 Eagles were.

They lost by 1 score to a Chiefs team that was, at the time...by far...playing the best football in the NFL.

They lost in terrible weather, in Seattle, to a team that owns the soul of our franchise.  Lost by 2 TDs, but very close game until the end.

They lost a week 17 game to Dallas that they would have won had the played starters.

They were literally about 3 scores from 19-0.

Agreed.  But, they are the "hits".  Seumalo took a while to turn it on.  Goedert is a bit stunted by Ertz.  And Sanders struggles with ball security and sodt tissue injuries.  If there were others sprinkled in, it wouldn't look be so bad... but that's the top of the list.  And adding others is a bit of a stretch and that extends backwards to 2014.  2012 and 2013 were their best drafts in a long time with Cox, Kendricks, Johnson, Ertz and Hicks.  3 Pro Bowlers, 2 of which were top 2 or 3 at their position for the past 5 years or so. They need more of that, and aren't getting it.  Part of that is picking later in Round 1.  But there have been players available when they were on the clock, they've just missed them.

That team was also exciting to watch.  Big plays from offense, defense and even ST.  Just a complete team... top to bottom.  Howie really did hit on everything that offseason.  I think every free agent they added had a significant role in the success.  But since then, I think he's whiffed on just about every other move.

I like that I used the term k00l-aide without saying it in the context of the famous cliche and still got burned by the filter.

How many WR screens to Ward have there been?

Found out that my roommate tested positive for Covid. Good news is I have no symptoms and my poop is solid

I never understood the TP shortage until now.

Seriously, though, I'm a manager at a big liquor store and before COVID we allowed the public to use our restrooms and you wouldn't believe how many people seem to have no idea how to go to the bathroom.  See, this is where Thanos went wrong with his execution of randomly snapping people out of existence.  Give me the Infinity Gauntlet and one subset of people I'd snap out of existence is people who don't know how to use a bathroom properly.  It's not that hard, people.

They threw the ball to him in open space against the Cowboys and he jogged out of bounds.

Also, I dislike the plays where we run Reagor from one side of the field through the backfield in motion and back to the other side. All it does is exhaust him before the snap.

I harp and harp about the importance of a quality run game. Particularly, a north/south run game. The ability to be physical and wear down defenses is necessary.

The Chiefs are an anomaly. They have the perfect QB and perfect WRs for what they do. Any team that tries to mimic the Chiefs will fail. Mahomes and Hill are two of a kind.

Look at the Rams. In 2017 McVay was like the second coming of both Bill Walsh and Jesus Christ. The offense is still good but what are the missing? A top notch run game. Todd Gurley was clearly a huge asset. Not sure if they lost O-Lineman but that could be an issue too. Now, Todd Gurley is a rare talent as well. The Rams should attempt to replace him with two cheaper options, but they didn’t.

The 2017 Eagles RB core should be the blueprint on how teams should build their RB room. Sproles getting hurt in week 3, imo, was a plus. If Sproles doesn’t get hurt there’s no trade for Ajayi and Clement gets as many touches as he’s getting now.

The screen to Ward has replaced the jet sweep to Agholor.  I say it as a sarcastic joke, but it's true.  That's exactly what that page of the playbook evolved into.

Doug views it as his 2-3x per game high percentage pass to shorten the 3rd down distance.
