Guess you didnt see the Adam Caplin Report where every NFL Exec said Dougs scheme blows, the other team knows whats coming, theyre using 2018 and 2019 plays and Everyone knows majority of the blame falls on Doug

Adam Caplan?  He's a paid mouthpiece whose job is to put propaganda out there, in this case likely on behalf of Howie.  Pinning all his (and Carson's) failures on the coach to avoid blame.  But I guess it works on some naive people.

Im 56 years old, I have been a Eagle fan a long long time.  I've been down the road of the QB carousel when you dont have a legit Franchise guy. Franchise QB's are too hard to find. SOme teams try for decades to find them. We dont throw away Wentz because he struggles when the Oline is in shambles and his WR's are A rookie, a 2nd year player who was cut from 2 teams this season, and a converted QB who was a practice squad guy with less than a full season of starts.

You can win with Wentz, he has enough of the talents and attributes to be the franchise guy. We saw it for a few years, and now we see what he looks like without a viable Oline or starting WR's.

IN case one wants to overlook the facts, I will lay them out. 9 Different starting Oline Combinations in 10 games in a ROW. Our 10th starting combo will be on Monday night. It is unprecedented. It has NEVER happened before not even in a strike season.

For those that dont know, you need to develop continuity along the Oline in order to have success. Each man must know what he is doing on each play and also must know what the guys around him are supposed to do, and know their habits, strengths and weaknesses to be effective. Blocking schemes are too complex.

It's being way too lazy and requires erasing all memories of his previous Seasons to believe Wentz's issues are his only, and that he IS the problem.

No he isn't the problem his play is the end result of the problem.

Bro, I'm right there with you but I will say that some of it is indeed Carson. I think he will bounce back and I also think that there is a lot of validity to your post

It wasn't a popular post at the time, but the minute that happened, I stated it wasn't on Wentz, that he was going for the checkdown and was hit when throwing the ball.

But some dont want to know the wheres and whys about being a QB. Some just dont have a clue, and worse, are not willing to learn.

The Oline and lack of NFL Starting Caliber WR's have been Carson downfall.  We all know what he can play like when he has a decent Oline and some legitimate WR's. Now we know what he plays like when he doesn't.  ANd I would suggest not many QB's will look good behind this Oline throwing to these WR's

But why was he going to the checkdown when he was looking right at Reagor who was WIDE OPEN?

Imagine watching Carson Wentz this year and thinking its "nutty" that he's not the guy and not a franchise QB.

It's just anger, stupidity, or desperately wanting to justify why either you never liked the pick or why you wanted the Eagles to keep Foles. Or it could just plain be hate I guess

I understand the frustration to a point. He's playing like crap. There's some valid excuses for his poor play this season and some invalid ones IMO

I like see plays like this through QB eyes.  Seems Dan would have made that throw and not the check down but also understood the check down process from Wentz.  And with 8 blockers why are they getting a free rusher.

Dan is correct that the primary blame goes to the blocking scheme which let a free rusher in.  However a real franchise QB who processes the field quickly has the ball out to the wide open man in the flat well before taking that hit.

Every QB that plays well and is having an MVP like season is benefitting from a strong team around him. Carson in 2017. Lamar last year. When everything is clicking, it's easy for a QB to look really good. Likewise, when everything around you is a mess, it's easy to look bad. Carson needs to do a better job of not letting the dam break. He needs to have an awareness of the game situation. He should know that his OL is struggling. He needs to find that internal clock. He needs to relax and not suppress his instincts.

A real Franchise QB game manager wouldnt be forced to drop back 50 times in hurricane type rain/winds.

Fixed your post.

You didn’t read through the 2020 Election thread in CVON?

Well, he finally started running for it against the Bengals and moving the sticks with his legs — scored the tying TD late with his feet.  I thought for sure he was nursing a groin injury before I saw him do that.

Have you noticed he’s stopped doing it again in the last two losses?  I’m not convinced Doug isn’t telling him to stand in there and follow the play design — and Wentz isn’t seeing anyone open — whether that be because of hesitation, seeing ghosts, whatever.

I believe the Doug & Carson scheme has an irreparable break, at least without some strong outside ideas or input.

What he needs to do is tell Doug and that committee of OCs is make better plays that help him out when the line can't block

Though it's their job to already be doing that so 🤷‍♂️

If there's any truth to the "That's Foles' stuff" comment Wentz needs to be benched or gone. Dude has done absolutely nothing to earn the ability to dictate to the coaches. That's Rodgers/Brees/Brady territory. Love Wentz all you want but he's nowhere near that level...yet.

That said, it could be total BS so I'm not gonna rant anymore than that about it.

That's not what you said bro. You said he's never had it and that's nutty.

A little. Not enough to notice anything I guess.

Besides 75% of the stuff that goes on in there is nutty.

Carson Wentz "had it" the same way Nick Foles "had it".  One fluke/lucky streak when surrounded by a fantastic team.  Aside from that he's been mediocre with the exception of feasting on our awful division at times.

I think this is more accurate than most of us would like to think.

The only guy I'd want to replace doug that seems likely to be on the market in Bieniemy.

Pretty sure you dont know what a fluke, or a streak is.

Dude was 25-15 with a 81TD to 21INT.   Now if you want to call 40 games a lucky fluke... Ok... I guess lol

Why post the favorable stats and not the fact that he is a fumble machine?  Do fumbles not count?
