What if he has purposefully doing a bad job all season to make Seattle think this will be an easy game.

Gee how nice of you to give Jalen Hurts one half while you apologists have given Carson Wentz 10 games to stink out the joint while still coddling him and making nonstop excuses.  Such a fair premise.

Wentz is proven to suck this year.  As for Hurts, it would take far more than one half to get a read on him.

Yes, it's us that have decided whether Carson should start.  But if Carson plays one more bad half, I am going to have Doug bench him.

What if Doug is pulling a Costanza and actively trying to get fired for a better job?

What if wentz is purposefully playing poorly to try to get doug fired cause doug doesn’t allow for anything other than vanilla and chocolate ice cream.

The Carson Wentz vs. Jalen Hurts debate is similar to 1986 with Buddy Ryan deciding between Ron Jaworski and Randall Cunningham.  Buddy didn't know if Randall was the guy, but he DID know for sure that Jaws was NOT the guy.

Kind of funny you bring up this situation.

1986, Cunningham was sacked 72 times ( still an NFL record ), threw 8 TD's and 7 picks, and fumbled 7 times.

Looking at his numbers, Randall was the most sacked QB 86-88, 90 and 92.  He is 6th all time in sacks taken.  If you extrapolate his numbers to as many games as the 5 guys ahead of him, he would be #1 in all time sacks taken.

Led the league in fumbles 87, 88 and 92.

In Philly, he had 150 passing TD's, 32 rushing TD's ( 182 total ) 105 interceptions and 89 fumbles ( 194 total )

Funny you are bashing Wentz, and then propping up a guy with these numbers.

Putting in Hurts would make some on the team step up and take notice, but it's more of a band aid than anything else.  It won't fix JP, nor the play calling nor the other endemic issues such as little invested into LBs, wasted picks at CB and a cap position that is a shocker.  And the players gutting it out and playing while injured.

And frankly, seeing how Wentz has regressed, how do we know that the same coach that allowed that to happen is suddenly all over Hurts and he is ready?

As an aside, apologies if anyone is a realtor, but is there a profession more full of BSers and shysters out there?  I have just remembered why I haven't moved for 15 years. Just wow 😄

It’s turning out the Cornerback picks weren’t wasted ... Darby good in Buffalo, good in Washington. Jones good in Jacksonville, Douglas at least competent and now .... Maddox stinks.

For all the grief Doug gets and most of it is justified, Generic Jim really can’t get anyone to shine on Defense. I don’t think it’s a coincidence.

Let me add

Cunningham has 7 of the top 11 all time sacked seasons for an Eagles QB.

Cunningham has 4 of the top 8 fumbles by an Eagle in a season.

Carson Wentz is #1 and #5 on the all time Eagles single season passing yards list.

Carson Wentz is #1 and #6 on the all time Eagles single season passing TD's list.

Carson Wentz is 4th on the all time Eagles passing yards list.

Carson Wentz is 4th on the all time Eagles passing TD's list.

Good thing you conveniently ignore 3 seasons of good QB play.

Trap game for the win? Not even sure we could take their backups on

I don’t know why you guys respond to him. He’ll rag on wentz meanwhile lane Johnson had three plays in a row where he was beat and one ridiculously bad before he got hurt and he said nothing. This whole team sucks. The defense is a fraud anytime they play good QBs. The oline sucks. Wentz has been trash. Sanders is good but coughs the ball up and kills momentum of opening drives (rams and this game). The wr still aren’t that good. They are marginally better than last year cause fulgham had a 3 game stretch. And Doug’s offense uses next to no motion, less rollouts and is unimaginative.

i said back in April this team was not a good team. Even if wentz was playing well they are at best maybe an 8-9 win team. That’s pathetic considering the god awful division they are in.

Mastermind?  All he has to do is let Patrick Mahomes throw the ball to the fastest WR in the game or one of the top 3 TE in the game. He also has Sammy Watkins and Mecole Hardman.  Having the best QB in the world makes his job easy.  Now he has the luxury of giving the ball to Le'Veon Bell too.  I want nothing to do with Bieniemy or anyone else in the AR coaching tree.

I said it yesterday, Bieniemy was given the keys to a Ferrari and asked not to wreck it.  I want a coach who can take a bucket of rust and turn it into a show car.

If people can give me examples of what Bieniemy has done to improve the Chiefs I'd love to hear it.  Has he designed plays?  Is he creating mismatches? What players has he developed?

try watching one of their games.

I have 4 teams i have found this year that i really enjoy watching their all 22. Carolina, buffalo, Arizona and rams. All are very creative in what they do and play to the strengths of the personnel they have. Only one i have an issue with is the cardinals for whatever reason on 3rd and 1/4th and 1 run the same freaking play with Murray every time. League has caught up and figured it out.

Actually you make a great comparison.  Carson Wentz is a modern day Randall Cunningham.  Except not as good.

So a poor man's Randall.

That is true... this division is terrible, but the Eagles fit in there perfectly.   A 'good team' in this division would get an easy 6 wins this year to start.  Getting to 8 or 9 wins wouldn't be a big feat, it would require finding a way to go 2-8 or 3-7 against the rest of the teams...  Even if they dropped the ball and lost 1 game to the division, it wouldn't be hard to get to 8 or 9 wins.  But this team is a bad team.  They beat the 49ers with a terrible QB who was actually having his worst start ever... and they barely won that one.  They knocked off the Giants by 1 point, after Evan Engram dropped the game for the Giants.  If he makes the catch, the Giants win both games.  And they beat Dallas with a guy making his career first start, and frankly, they weren't particularly good in that game, either.  Quite truthfully, the Eagles were fairly lucky to get to even 3 wins.

Thanks for finally admitting it.  If the others in here could do the same, maybe they'd have a shred of credibility when discussing the rest of the issues.

Care to answer my question ?? With the state of the game plan, play calling and O line play, what about Jalen Hurts game makes you think he can do more than Wentz ??

Nothing.  When did I ever say Hurts was the man?  All I've consistently said is that Wentz is NOT the guy, and you and your fellow apologists have gone crazy defending his indefensible play this year.

I hate saying it because I love the Eagles and I won’t miss a game. I haven’t missed a game in over 20 years but you could see that this team was going to have issues back in April when they were playing a dangerous game at wr, just assuming Mills could play safety and if he couldn’t parks a perennial backup could step in and mismanaging the cap and ertz situation. Add on brooks getting hurt was a bad omen for this season.

This team was lucky last year to sneak into the playoffs cause they were fortunate to play the giants twice, redskins and Dallas. Add on Dak had a bum shoulder on top of it all. They really weren’t that good last year. Heck if we go back to 2018 they should be sending the bears a gift basket as they won a meaningless game and then double doinked a playoff game.
