Thanks for finally admitting it.  If the others in here could do the same, maybe they'd have a shred of credibility when discussing the rest of the issues.

I have admitted it. Head out of the blog I’ve stated it basically every week this year. It’s been admitted multiple times.

however I’ve also admitted there’s about 20 problems with this roster that at least 6-7 are dire like that one. I’ve also admitted that doug is not that good of a play caller or imaginative. I’ve admitted lane Johnson might be just breaking down and closer to the end. I’ve also admitted the defense is a fraud. Except you unfortunately focus on 1 assuming that our coaches who can’t change up gadget plays are somehow going to craft an offense that catered to hurts when they haven’t been able to do that with gadget plays over this season.

The bigger picture is howie sucks at his job as much as doug and Carson currently do. and there’s about 8-10 major issues facing this team as well.

I hate saying it because I love the Eagles and I won’t miss a game. I haven’t missed a game in over 20 years but you could see that this team was going to have issues back in April when they were playing a dangerous game at wr, just assuming Mills could play safety and if he couldn’t parks a perennial backup could step in and mismanaging the cap and ertz situation. Add on brooks getting hurt was a bad omen for this season.

This team was lucky last year to sneak into the playoffs cause they were fortunate to play the giants twice, redskins and Dallas. Add on Dak had a bum shoulder on top of it all. They really weren’t that good last year. Heck if we go back to 2018 they should be sending the bears a gift basket as they won a meaningless game and then double doinked a playoff game.

The defense isn't that big a problem though.  Yes, they are mediocre.  But, right now, it would be nice to see the offense rise to that level of mediocrity. And the ST is also lower than mediocre, at least the return game.  And when you combine mediocre defense, sub-mediocre offense and sub-mediocre ST... the result is what we see... tons of drives starting for the offense in deep territory, and tons of drives for the defense starting close to scoring range.   Eagles' whole team is playing on a slanted field.

You know who was bad and isn’t talked about enough cause true defense held the browns to 13. Avonte maddox. It should’ve looked worse if Baker didn’t suck.

The Carson Wentz vs. Jalen Hurts debate is similar to 1986 with Buddy Ryan deciding between Ron Jaworski and Randall Cunningham.  Buddy didn't know if Randall was the guy, but he DID know for sure that Jaws was NOT the guy.

Too bad I wasn’t there; I’d have told him very early on that Cunningham wasn’t the guy either

I have 4 teams i have found this year that i really enjoy watching their all 22. Carolina, buffalo, Arizona and rams. All are very creative in what they do and play to the strengths of the personnel they have. Only one i have an issue with is the cardinals for whatever reason on 3rd and 1/4th and 1 run the same freaking play with Murray every time. League has caught up and figured it out.

Bills are fun to watch. I meant to watch more of Cards but haven't had the chance. It's nice to see the Bills playing better after so many years of that division giving free wins to Pats. I'm happy for those fans

Oh they are playing awful complimentary football. It’s been all three phases that have let the eagles down at some point.

I think the bigger issue with the defense is when they play better QBs they have had issues. Add on they really lack young talent on defense. I don’t think i could make one on a rookie contract that I’d consider a starter long term. I guess Barnett you could. I think you are going to see a major drop on the defense next year as our main guys are getting older and at some point they are going to hit a cliff. The defense the next couple weeks has their hands full with how the offense looks. I just think the lack of young defenders catches up to them more next year when guys move closer to out of their prime.

McNabb's best 3 season stretch, 65 TD's 23 int's

Cunningham, 75 TD's 44 int's

No doubt.    Awful drafting or awful talent development.  Take your pick.  I think its both.

I'd look at other stats. How about, from 2017-2019, year-by-year, in how many games has Carson Wentz had 4 complete quarters of high quality QB play? You can look at the inconsistency over a long period of time or game by game. Its there on both timetables.

Love what the bills are doing. They know moss and singletary haven’t been good running it so they’ve adapted to that. Really done an excellent job playing to Allen’s strength and diggs strength. He’s playing better than he was in Minnesota. They do an excellent job with scheming their personnel open and utilizing brown and diggs speed with Allen’s legs.

Carolina while their record is just 4-7, they are fun to watch pre-snap and on offense they are finding ways to get Samuel involved and making bridgewater look like an good QB. They are in every game except for tampa bay games. Good fun team to watch on offense. When mccaffrey gets healthy i think you’ll only see it be even more creative

Nothing.  When did I ever say Hurts was the man?  All I've consistently said is that Wentz is NOT the guy, and you and your fellow apologists have gone crazy defending his indefensible play this year.

Who is the guy, then?  Complaining is easy; solutions are what is needed.

It’s both. Development has definitely been as bad. When players go elsewhere and have some success like darby, jones and Douglas there’s an issue.

Call me stubborn or a Wentz washer or whatever. I think he can still be elite. There's a ton of factors that could/can be contributing to his poor play this season. I don't think he's trash or a bad QB or whatever other insult they want to call him.

I'm also not going to change my mind about it so don't bother trying

You demand all 4 quarters of high quality play?  Mahomes only played 1.5 or 2 in each playoff game last year and he won the Super Bowl, the Super Bowl MVP, and a $500M contract

Doesn't matter, given Wentz's contract, he's going to start in 2021 and 2022, though his line may be Dillard - Driscoll - Seumalo - Brooks - Mailata.

Though by 2022, Hurts should be breathing down his neck if he doesn't regain his mojo.

Thank you; I was thinking I was the only person trying to bang this into peoples heads

I hope that Lurie doesn’t use anything even close to that style of thinking

You aren’t. Anyone who understands the cap situation and his contract knows this.

Maddox really is dismal on the outside.  If Davonte Adams didn’t get injured during the game last season he could have challenged an NFL record.  He’s probably a pretty good nickel CB, but if Mills is an upgrade — he’s terrible

Frankly if mahomes didn’t throw a bad interception in that raiders game at the end of the half then the raiders wouldn’t have been in a position to play from behind with a minute and 30 left. I love mahomes but even he has had some issues at times this year. Particularly against the raiders.

Maybe Hurts, but probably not.  Definitely not Wentz.  That means the guy will have to come in free agency or in the draft in all likelihood.

I believe we can trade Wentz this offseason for a basically neutral cap hit, so that should be done.  Since you all think the rest of the NFL still loves him, they should have no problems with that.

I don’t know if I’m sold on him as the nickel/slot corner. I have to find the tweet but before the packers game last year he had given up the most catches, yards and QB rating of any slot corner. Granted it was only 3 games. I just am Not as high on him. I’d say see if you scan transition him to safety but he’d have to play McLeod’s role and we aren’t going to do that

Not gonna happen.  Already massively over the cap, can not afford to have a dead cap hit of 34 million.
