The "plant based sausage” was just a joke line from me that’s been happening in the blog because of Pizza Huts ads for plant based sausage. The tweet thread does talk about him becoming mostly vegan and past examples of other NFL players becoming vegan and their play dropping though.

Well ya, and vegans/vegetarians can argue all they want (like our former resident chucklehead in here), but those diets really mess with the chemical make up of your body.  Not to mention supplements and substitutes for essential vitamins/minerals don't give the same results.  The net result of your brain fighting your body constantly is obviously regression.

Skimmed through. In typical Bacarty fashion, he used only the snippets from Caplan that fit his narrative that everything is on Doug.

Caplan’s same sources who called Doug’s offense stale and unimaginative also said Wentz is just playing poorly. His mechanics are bad and he doesn’t throw with any anticipation. He holds the ball too long waiting for receivers to break open kinda like McNabb.

Piecing together various viewpoints from Caplan, Cosell, Duffy, etc...

* Doug is relying too much on receivers winning 1 on 1 with iso routes and they aren’t doing it, particularly early in the route. He needs better route combinations to scheme open receivers.

* Wentz’s mechanics are bad and he isn’t trusting what he’s seeing. He’s become gun shy.

* The revolving door at OL and WR doesn’t help. Reagor has missed a lot of time and just isn’t nuanced in any way. The OL is a revolving door week to week and snap to snap. How many configurations did we have on Sunday alone?

* None of the RBs can pick up a blitz.

It's so painfully obvious every time the O lines up what the reads are and play design are.  I think there was maybe 5 total plays last week where some combo of routes designed to create multiple options.  It's like Doug and the O staff designed a playbook for 30 years ago.  The players are bigger/faster/stronger now than they've ever been.  The field is for lack of better words, not big enough for todays game.

This is starting to make sense. Carson didn’t totally abandon meat but he’s eating more greens aka plant based sausage.

What an idiot.

Meatmcginley has gotten to him.

Norman Braman... who wasn't 'dumb', but he certainly wasn't in the business to win, he was in the business to hob knob and to make money.   Worst owner in franchise history, and one of the worst ever in professional sports, imho.  (and yes, I'm biased)

That's who I was thinking. He also had a gambling problem which in my eyes makes you dumb

Damn it McGinley got to him!

Plant based meat??  That changes everything.

Wentz will go 32/45 for 364 yards and 4 total TDs on Monday night.

He did it in 2019.

I thought the gambling issue ended with Leonard Tose...  I don't recall Braman being a gambler.

This MFer hunts deer in his spare time but now he's eating "plant-based sausage"? Holy Lord, someone please break into his house, find the glass case his wife keeps his balls in, shatter that ish, and give them back to him. This is more depressing than what we see from him on Sundays.

He just needs to spend some of the upcoming pa rifle season with me. Dude will be a beer guzzling red meat devouring animal by the time the two weeks are up

Sorry you are right they both rank highly as the dumbest owners

Wasn’t Tose the one with the gambling problem?

Nevermind, I see it was addressed.

I volunteer my services (as a professional at drinking beer) to assist.

Interesting read. Also sounds like Pederson coaches Wentz harder than Taylor, among other nuggets. Worth a click.

Good God, people are really trying to blame his regression on more vegetables in his diet?

Guys, maybe just maybe, the guy just isn't a good QB? Maybe that's all there is to it...

You want the next Bradford?

Sam Bradford pre-injury was good. I wish we could have seen him in a good environment. He's on the list of QBs ruined by the situation. Sam Darnold is the most recent victim.

Always nice to have a well experienced assistant like yourself along!

Carson put more effort in to appeasing the woke crowd this offseason instead of prepping to be a better quarterback.

Players go into funks, it would be one thing if Wentz lacked a track record, but his previous three seasons say he's a top QB, and his finish last year with zero NFL WRs says he hasn't lost his skill package.

It may simply be that he needed the exhibition game time to sharpen his mechanics and reads, and with the collapse of the OL, he never got into a groove, and now it's just fed on itself. He keeps making beautiful touch throws, hasn't lost any arm strength, and is still elusive in the pocket (when there's a pocket). But when your OTs get beat like a drum, you can't roll out away from pressure, when your WRs run the wrong routes, you hesitate, and when your HC calls too many slow developing plays you get slaughtered.

I hate that this is where my mind goes but this is where society has gone.  How long before this turns into Jalen Hurts isn't getting a chance because he's black conversation?  It's ridiculous to even bring it up but you can just feel that conversation coming up.  Either Florio or some talking head at ESPN will mention it then the next thing you know it will be trending.

Man, you really need to look in thee mirror and self scout why you feel society has gone where you think.  I think a team that started Vick and Cunningham has shown that it is beyond that racist tripe

Since all the other teams have new coaches this makes sense. We should be head and shoulders above everyone else. IMHO

I don’t think Schefter is saying anything that isn’t already understood by all of us. We know there will be changes, it’s just a matter of how sweeping those changes will be.
