I wonder what they argue about in Detroit and Cleveland?

This seems fitting for this conversation and for tonight's game between these 2 dumpster cities.

I assume this was a joke, but I am not getting it.

He said, "I'm ready to go."  It means he wants to leave.  Clear as day.

Sounds like there is real concern about Tyrion Smith being out against Atlanta. Dallas would be without its two starting tackles.

So how does the three-week IR work? Can they place a player on it for another three weeks if they aren’t healthy?

It's the NFL's 100th birthday today, founded on this day in 1920 as the American Professional Football Association. Coincidentally, this is the same day that our nation's founders signed the U.S. Constitution at Independence Hall in 1787.

You left out where. As far as I know it was some hotel in Philadelphia. Doubt it's still around lol

Come to think of it , it might have been the Econo Lodge or the Red Roof Inn out on Street Road in Bensalem.

Why do we have to always lead the league in dumb ish like this?

If we don't have the oldest roster, now we have the smallest.

At least we got a tall QB1 and QB2.

As far as I know its the same as before just they changed 8 weeks to 3. It's not a separate list. If they aren't ready they just stay until activated.

I noticed some reporters call it "short term IR" but I think they are just distinguishing that its not a season ending injury.

I wish someone could give us an honest, reasonable explanation about what the hell is happening with Matt Pryor.  I know he's not that great in pass pro, but simply inserting him and Lane into the lineup along with Miles Sanders helps the run game instantly, takes some pressure off Carson, and opens up everything else.  Regardless, I'm sure Doug continues to pass, pass, pass with no play action, predictable screens, and empty back sets where he gets killed.

we're sinking faster than the Titanic

Interesting nugget. Probably why he was so slow earlier in his career off the snap

That’s good to read.

That was something I talked quite a bit about during his draft year. Analysts talked about his slowness at the snap, but he was supposed to watch the opposing tackle instead of the center snap. I had hoped that was the reason for the slow "get off.” I didn’t think it would be such a slow transition.

What do you know  ? It is still there..  AND we got a Shake Shack !!

The NFL was founded in Canton.

I wonder if having a new D-line coach every year as a pro slowed down the transition

No concern for Johnson going from Full to Limited today, apparently

So it’s a minimum of three weeks, but after that they can be activated or remain on IR week to week?

I could be wrong but I remember under Chip them switching Villanueva to OT.  He was still considered a project back then and they ended up releasing him.

But I'm pretty sure they tried him at OT.

I dont remember that. Are you sure you arent thinking of Taylor Hart who was a DT that switched to OL here for a while before finally getting cut?

Im pretty sure we never tried Villanueva on offense at all.

That's my read on it. They just tweaked the specifics of the IR rule that was already in place.

I think Scott showed well enough last year to be the backup. Clement when healthy is plenty good as the third RB.

In how many games? A small handful? And Clement? We've been here and we've discussed this. That's your opinion and that's fine. It isn't mine and we shall see how this all plays out.

So because he couldn't coach up an inherited bust in Warmack and a 6th round pick, he sucks now? Your expectations are completely unrealistic.

No actually I hadn't realised he'd had so few lineman drafted and especially guys early or in the second and third rounds. He's been given a few later round guys which is a little hit and miss.

But he's got guys to work with now so let's see what happens.

Not 1 bit of that matters if we win and so far we have.

Of course it matters! You can't continue being a slightly above average team and just accept that. And look what's happening now. They do not have the cap space because Carson is on his big deal and we don't have the young talent to give us options.

Its all good, didn't mean to come off so aggressive. I've been stewing for a few days on Stoutland with people calling for him to be fired
