Been both. He had an injury earlier in the year that’s been nagging him. He hasn’t looked good playing through it. Went on ir yesterday.

Nah... I wouldn't say most.  I'd say many in the blog, but there's a larger group of posters in the blog who don't post a ton, but just read and when too much idiocy is bandied about, they just log off for a while.

I guess that is true. It’s bad when people don’t watch other teams. I love Russell Wilson but when Carlos Hyde and Chris Carson were out of the lineup for the Seahawks he had 7 turnovers in three weeks. If you’re gonna tell me that the running game does not matter to Russell Wilson when he gets it he had zero turnovers against the Cardinals and they won that game. Heck he had like 4-5 all year before those three games and one of the games he had 3 Carson left in the second quarter. Add on a couple olineman were banged up and their pass pro from their backs was awful and they gave up 13 sacks over that time. Russell Wilson is considered an MVP candidate but for three weeks he was anything but because he had no running game and his offensive line and backup running backs couldn’t pass protect. Wasn’t a coincidence the rams and bills handled them when he didn’t have all that.

Not exactly sure what your expectations are; apparently Wentz should just do everything by himself

What Vermeil is saying is when a QB is down to 1/5 of his starting OL, and a WR group of Ward, Hightower, and Fulgham then the QB is likely to have problems.

I’d say his take is more reasonable than yours

A lot more "takes” than mine that more better sources also agree Wentz is regressed

I'd settle for just NFL quality players across the board.  The Eagles have played and expected (or at least hoped for) significant contributions from non-NFL caliber players.  Opeta, Pryor, and frankly, Jason Peters... on the OL.  Herbig is a backup, but not more than that... at least not yet.  Driscoll is a backup quality RT.. and that's it right now, though he might develop into more.  And that's just the OL.  Should we discuss Croom and Hakeem Butler at TE?  Maybe we can discuss Adrian Killins getting a start against the 49ers.   Relying on Boston Scott as the lead back for a few weeks, he's a change of pace back at best.  And then there's the WR situation.  Alshon is back on the field.  Frankly, he's not an NFL player at this stage, his 'effort' on the second INT against the Browns was as pathetic as any I can remember seeing.  There's a bevy of young WRs, but they aren't seasoned NFL players, but are being relied on like they are, because there's no one else.  Fulgham might be an NFL WR, but there's a reason he's on his 3rd team.

I don’t drink. I also don’t make the same excuses 5 years in a row

Who has said he hasn't regressed?  There might be a reason hes regressed.... and many of those reasons are related to the fact that from literally one play to the next he's not sure who will be in the huddle with him.

So...he hasnt regressed then?

You also don't know your arse from a monkeys butt. Not one person in here thinks Wentz is playing well. That said your take on Wentz is juvenile.

Apparently reading comprehension on the blog is optional over the last 3 months. Because you can say wentz regressed and yet still say there’s a multitude of other problems set up for a QB to fail. and yet everyone who’s against wentz just ignores the fact that everyone on here has said he’s regressed

Bro don’t you know he's been bad for 5 years so therefore he hasn't regressed.

Yup... broken logic there.

Love to have Fuller on this team. Somebody tell me who Howie drafted instead.

You don't want to know.

I’ve said this before. Carson is clearly not playing well and he’s been bad this year but when you look at what they have put out on the field from week one until now it’s not good enough for even a solid quarterback to have the success the Eagles fans want. want to be a Super Bowl contender but no quarterback besides maybe Patrick Mahomes, Russell Wilson, Aaron Rodgers would  have this team playing like a Super Bowl contender. Everyone else they might be a little bit better but they’re not going to be close to what Eagles fans one which is a Super Bowl contender.

it’s funny I brought this up in May saying that this roster even if wentz was wentz of the past was nothing more than a nine win team at best. If was a flawed roster that fans overhyped. Just look at the roster, it’s not that good with a ton of question marks especially now. The obliviousness of some of the fans on this board that you throw anyone not named mahomes, Wilson and Rodgers that this team would be a top flight team is truly amazing.

Was it JJaW?

Fuller has had his issues with injuries over his career, but when he's been healthy, he's been really good as a #2.  As their top threat this year, he's playing up to that.

Incidentally, he was drafted in Round 1 in 2016, so it was the year the Eagles traded up twice to get Wentz.

Give credit to Will fuller finally stayed healthy for the first time in 4 years. When he’s been healthy he’s been productive the fact of the matter is he never stayed healthy til this year

Rather have Wentz for now anyways

I still have a man crush on kerryon Johnson. He and Swift would be a heck of a 1-2 if they used them that way.

Agreed... but you know some in here would take the opposite viewpoint.

Wentz put this team on his back and willed them into the playoffs last year, the last 4 or 5 games anyways, this year he cant tie his shoes, its mostly wentz
