In how many games? A small handful? And Clement? We've been here and we've discussed this. That's your opinion and that's fine. It isn't mine and we shall see how this all plays out.

Considering other roster holes, I was very comfortable going with Scott and Clement. Backup RB is really far down the list of important things for roster building.

We needed receivers, OL depth, ideally a DE, a couple of LBs, a corner, young safety, etc.

I wanted all of those things before backup RB.

For F sake, 2, 3, 4, very bottom 4, 5, 4, 5, 6, 5, 6, 7, 7.

At some point though you've got to find one or two starters there. You've got to find a handful of depth guys. All of them are gone!

Its all good, didn't mean to come off so aggressive. I've been stewing for a few days on Stoutland with people calling for him to be fired

No worries bud. I'm certainly not calling for Stoutland to be fired. I'm just saying I think given the guys he's been given this year I would hope at least one or two can go on to become at the very least decent long term back up guys.

You may be comfortable with that bud and I agree there are higher priorities. But I said at the time of the 53 roster being announced I did not like that RB room. Sunday was only one game but it did nothing to make me feel any better about it.

If Sanders were to miss extended time, I might agree.

Scott and Clement were bad in pass protection, but the OL never gave them a chance as ball carriers. They would look much better with Lane.

Sounds so far like Barnett should be good to go for Sunday assuming no set back. Any update on if they’re expecting Hargrave to play?

I wish someone could give us an honest, reasonable explanation about what the hell is happening with Matt Pryor.  I know he's not that great in pass pro, but simply inserting him and Lane into the lineup along with Miles Sanders helps the run game instantly, takes some pressure off Carson, and opens up everything else.  Regardless, I'm sure Doug continues to pass, pass, pass with no play action, predictable screens, and empty back sets where he gets killed.

At this point, i'm just assuming he did something to get in the dog house.

At a complete guess I would say it's unlikely this week but potential for next week? Just on the basis that he hasn't practiced in a while and was still limited as of today.

For all the injury carnage, the Eagles are healthier heading into week 2, after playing a football game, than they were heading into week 1.

That's a small miracle that needs to be appreciated.

I wouldn't push him yet. With Barnett/Graham presumably back DE will be ok with them Sweat, Avery, Toohill. Use the one PS call up on McGill again for this week.

No actually I hadn't realised he'd had so few lineman drafted and especially guys early or in the second and third rounds. He's been given a few later round guys which is a little hit and miss.

But he's got guys to work with now so let's see what happens.

Might have asked before but where in England are you?

I guess they can use Jackson on the edge too to give them options... Though I guess how much they can do that will depend on Hargrave and whether he's back in some capacity.

South West... About 30 minutes from Bristol if you know it?

Injuries clearing up a touch is a good sign.  I expect certain players will come out for this game with massive chips on their shoulders, or they should anyway.

They were unhealthiest last year coming off of a bye

Hightower gets benefit of the doubt because it was his first NFL game, nerves could of definitely been a factor. I’ll give him a few more games before I make a judgement. He at least saw targets, something we can’t say for JJAW.

Eli is definitely getting in. Maybe not first ballot, but he’ll be in there one day.

Yup I'll give hightower a pass for his first game. Was reagors first game too. He made some mistakes as well but didn't look scared.

JJAW I'm not sure why zero targets, was he not getting open was Carson not looking his way was he the 4th option and Carson didn't have time to get to 2nd option??? Either way dude needs to step up after hearing positives things about him at camp now it's time for him to show up!

Losing only 2 players (Curry, James) is a win for this franchise.

Sure do.

I lived in Ipwsich for 4 years.

Also flew out of RAF Fairford near Swindon

sounds like he will play 2 quarters and have 2 offsides and 1 personal foul.

Can't call up a guy two weeks in a row. It will have to be Williams. But I think Hargrave will see some snaps if he is healthy just to get some conditioning. McGill got 16 snaps last week. That would be a fine number for a guy who hasn't practiced much, as long as he is fully healed and has been able to do some conditioning. Since it was a pec injury, I assume he was still able to run.

Sadly you're probably right

2 weeks in a row or 2 weeks total?

I think both are true. A player can only be called up twice, and can't be called up two weeks in a row.

Haven't seen that anywhere. The rule that I know of is you can call a guy up twice and have him revert back to PS without clearing waivers. After that, you can still call him up but he would need to clear waivers to return to the PS.

Not that it's proof but beaters are talking about him coming up for this game.

I hope we wear the white on green uniform this week. I've always that combo at home early in the year.

Rams already announced they are all white, so it's going to be some type of Green.

This is what has been widely quoted.

"PS players can be activated on game day before the team announces their inactives (90 minutes before game time). The player doesn’t have to be elevated from the PS to the main roster for the move. This can happen with up to two practice squad players per week, but the same player can’t be elevated two weeks in a row. A player is only able to be elevated twice per season. To be put activated a third time requires the player to be signed to the regular roster."

I pulled this from this website.

https://www.ninersnation.com/2020/9/6/21424594/49ers-everything-you-need-to-know-about-how-the-nfls-practice-squad-works

But it looks like it came from a press release as the exact wording is used on a bunch of other sites.
