Do people really think Wentz was bad in 2018?

In what world? 102 QB rating. 70% completion percentage. Fantastic TD to INT ratio.

Because he was a game under .500? He was recovering from a major knee injury and had a broken back.

Some people make zero effort to hide their agenda.

You wanna say he was average last year and terrible this season? Fine. No argument. Let's not act like he was a scrub in 2018.

He was MEDIOCRE in 2018.  No one said he was "bad”, that’s just a weak strawman to defend him.

12th in the NFL in QBR, a much better all in one stat than passer rating.

5-6 record.  11 games played.  Team goes on a run under Foles after he goes out.

Mediocre.

Tanehill sucked in Miami

See what a coaching fit will do

It’s kind of why i suspect if Sam darnold went to someone like the colts he’d have more success. Gase has a magical touch to destroy everything around him.

He's living off of that Denver year but that was Peytons offense

I do feel a little sorry for him because he's probably going to be replaced with another high first round QB.

GIANTS WIN

No, they're not. Too bad Schwartz's defense didn't make big plays like that.

God, watching all of these other games makes it’s so painfully obvious how much we suck.

Kingsbury has terrible on fourth/third and one the last three weeks because he refuses to change his playcalling. Teams have figured out what they are doing on those plays and stopped it every time. It’s always a RO stretch with Murray

Cardinals are the Raiders of the NFC; two teams that commentators think are a lot better than they actually are

I thought watching the Eagles games made that painfully obvious in its own right.

Exactly. Watching other teams just makes it depressing that we can't have that.

Wow the bills manage to give up another Hail Mary but the chargers screw it up by running the ball on first down to waste 30 seconds

This may be one of the worst redzone management I've seen

Not surprising it’s Anthony Lynn coaching

Lol aj brown just had a touchdown on an onside kick

What a freaking catch by Curtis Samuel.

Eagles could have the 4th or 5th pick if they lose out, which they need to.

Carolina marches down for a field goal and hooked it badly.

Correction... They very likely will do.

Ok here’s my not extremely well though out strategy for turning this team around in the offseason:

1: Fire Howie

2: Replace Schwartz with an aggressive/attacking minded DC

3: Force Doug to hire an OC and give up play calling

4:  Test the trade market for Wentz  if someone is willing to give up a 1st take it, anything less try to rehab his confidence and career.  If Wentz can’t be traded, trade Hurts

5: OLine depth through FA and the draft.

6: If JaMarr Chase is on the board when we’re drafting, take him. If not DB or pass rush

Doug has made the playoffs every year except his first year and won a SB. So shitcanning him after this season would be in bad taste. What would that say to any HC candidate they try to bring in to replace DP? So you have to roll with Doug at least one more season, and if we miss the playoffs again next season, then it’s time to talk about firing him. But he needs the offense and play calling taken from him. I still have some hope for Wentz, especially if his supporting cast is better, but this regression is shocking and inexcusable.

I mean they are losing the next 4 we can say that with certainty.

The conundrum Lurie has is if Doug is let go, some HC candidates could be unhappy with an overly powerful GM over them dictating what to have for breakfast.  Or if Howie has the power,  can he be trusted to hire the right candidate or the most complliant?

The roster structure, cap position and scheme are all as bad.  I've come to the conclusion, that for the long term, the Eagles organization needs a clean out in certain areas otherwise the same issue will rear its head again.  It's a need a series of fresh perspectives to update itself, rather than acting like it

You seem to be holding the QB to a much higher standard than the head coach with these comments
