True but I’d be just as ticked. That’s such a weak rule.

I dont think so.

My mom, dad, and sister all tested positive on the same day. All are living together. My mom and dad got sick initially with flu like symptoms and my sister just felt kinda weird so she went along for a test with them. This was mid-october.

My dad had aches, a fever, and a cough. Lost taste and smell. And beat it in about a week other than a residual cough.

My sister never really became symptomatic. Just described different weird sensations. But never had fever, coughing, or any of that stuff.

My mom had a high fever for like 5 days and counting, and a bad cough. I brought her my pulse oximeter and we found her O2 was at 88. She went to the hospital and was admitted. Ended up getting worse there for a couple days. Cytokine storm. Remdesivir and dexamethasone, prone lying, the whole 9 yards. They discharged her after a week. She is still on oxygen at home. Still coughs. Still winded with little activity. Heart races with any activity, had to start on a beta blocker to try to control that but it still easily goes over 100bpm. Supposedly has a leaky trivispid valve that they are hoping heals that they attributed to the COVID. Has ground glass opacity in the lungs. Doctor told her she may never fully recover. He already told her she is not allowed to return to work until next year. My dad is not allowed to work either, as her caretaker they can not risk her getting sick with anything else. And can not have any outside contact. So, Ive still not been able to visit them.

All 3 probably got it from the same place, or at least, caught it from each other. So it should all be the same strain. But affected each of them differently.  I dont really think different strains have anything to do with it.

Thanks for sharing, and I am very sorry to hear this.   But, like I said, I wasn't sure I believed it.  I guess some folks are just 'lucky' or others are just very unlucky.  I don't know what ground glass opacity is, but it certainly sounds terrible.

Great post.   But... when there's this many issues, the fish stinks from the head down.  Start with Howie... and let the ax trickle down the tree.   Wentz is really unmovable at this point, so he gets a year with the new GM and new HC to figure out what to do moving forward.   Hurts is a wasted pick for this team.  Maybe they can someday recoup something, but that plan was a bad one from the moment it hatched in the brains of Howie and Co... sunk cost.  Try to recoup something, but don't expect much.

oh, I agree with you - at the very least, Howie is responsible for the mess because he is the head.  That's literally his job - to make sure everything else below him works. And it doesn't so he is responsible, even if he isn't at fault.  And I do believe he is at fault at the least because of roster construction.

I've disliked the Hurts pick too.  A luxury we couldn't afford. And if somehow they thought it was necessary, even worse.

I wish I knew how much meddling Howie has been doing in Doug's world...

The hands to the QB head rule is such an awful one. Unless if you grab the facemask, it shouldn't be a penalty if you tap the QB in the helmet with your arm or hand. It's nowhere near the same as a targeting penalty.

That’s a weak ass call in this chiefs/bucs game.

Hit a QB in the head (especially a past MVP and a current MVP candidate) its going to be called every time.  That's the new NFL.  Manning (Peyton and to a lesser extent Eli) would get calls when the Eagles would graze his helmet, not just when they'd smash their facemask.

Deeeeeeboooo

And yet, that's the rule... yet Wentz got his helmet smashed by Clowney, no call and no fine.

Yeah i get that. I just hate that rule. It isn’t like he just went to club him with his arm.

Lung inflammation/damage that shows up on a lung scan like a clump of ground up glass.

Eagles-Packers is on CBS next week?   What?  Why?

Ballsy by shanahan to go for it on 4th and 1. Could’ve kicked a 57 yarder for the win.

And another blow to the head of the QB by a defenders arm. Not sure how mahomes or brady are going to survive these shots

I hear ya... but as long as that rule sits on the books, they are going to call it.

Or when Clowney tried to rip Foles head off. Eagles QBs don't get calls

Watching Chris Godwin makes me sad...

That second one on Clark was just a cheapshot.   Frank Clark has the IQ of a houseplant.

Bruce Arians crying now?

Yup... seems so.   Bryce Paup dives at Randall's knee... nothing happened.  Brady has the same hit on his knee, they change the rules for hitting QB's low.

Incidentally, I didn't see the illegal use of hands on 21 there.    That was a home-cooking call for Brady.

Niners beat the rams on a Gould 42 yarder. Hats off to the niners for winning that game with Mullens at QB

I heard he was the worst QB in the history of the NFL... weird.

Shanahan should get coach of the year if they somehow win 8 games.

I give him credit he gets the ball into his playmakers hands and is creative in how he gets it done. Deebo Samuel and mostert were really the only two weapons they have going into that rams game. Deebo has 134 yards and some great play designs to get him open and then some man style trucking over defenders. Even with mostert struggling he still got him 16 touches

not impossible for them to get to seven wins. They still have the Cowboys and Washington

He was MEDIOCRE in 2018.  No one said he was "bad”, that’s just a weak strawman to defend him.

12th in the NFL in QBR, a much better all in one stat than passer rating.

5-6 record.  11 games played.  Team goes on a run under Foles after he goes out.

Mediocre.

Mediocre and bad are virtually the same thing when it comes to sports.

12th rated QB. Just outside of top ten is mediocre? Off of a major knee injury with a broken back?

You're approaching Shocker levels of stupidity, but one of you is serious. You're not a clown, you're the entire circus.

I didn't know that, but glad to hear it. My Direct TV seems to be having a dispute with FOX currently.
