I'm not sure. I never listen to Doug's press conferences. His messaging is inconsistent and he gives nonsensical answers frequently. It's pretty much a waste of time.

That’s almost any Coach. It’s like ppl expect coaches to give a detailed game plan or say that certain players suck.

We all know JJAW sucks, so does he.

Come on Doug.

Pryor has done a "great job"?

On a day when the OL was nearly historically bad and you had 3 players get in over Pryor...1 of whom plays Pryor's most natural position and doesn't belong on an NFL roster (Herbig)....and who was obliterated Sunday...and is playing over Pryor again...and you say Pryor is "doing a great job."

Protecting your players is one thing, but that's an insult to everyone's intelligence and time.

"Hey everyone since E45 isn’t happy with my press conference, let me start over... Pryor sucks, JJAW sucks, Peters sucks, our team is slow, and Herbig should be coaching at a junior college somewhere...”

Here's another issue with this young OL who failed us on Sunday...

Last year, we traded up for Dillard in round 1.  LT of the future, first round talent.  He had 1 week to prepare for a start at RT...and completely humiliated himself in 30 minutes.  Afterwards, the draft pick defense initiative somewhat understandably (although with some overstatement) rolled out the horrible travails of any OL, let alone a rookie, changing positions and flipping sides.

Yet after that traumatic event in which they misjudged a first round pick, they had Pryor, a far less athletic SIXTH round pick, at LT, RT, and RG in camp.  They have 7th round pick Mailata, who has never played football in his life, bouncing back and fourth between LT and RT.  We've got Driscoll playing God knows how many positions on the OL.

So it's apparently understandable that the flip turned 1st rounder Dillard into a crumpled heap of game-losing uselessness, but we can ask our less talented, less vetted, more unknown depth to do the same thing and then wonder why they aren't panning out?  Stoutland, I'm looking at you on this one.

Hope not. Enough with the lock downs. They were spread out outside.

 It’s nice to know you wait on my every word, but get a grip.  I have been consistent all along with my 8-8 prediction.  That means they have to win 8 games.  They should have won last week.  I predicted them to blow out the Redskins last week.  They didn’t.  I’m banking on them coming out more motivated and desperate since this is a must win.  No to mention the Rams traveling across country playing at 1pm.  It doesn’t change the fact that I think the direction of this team isn’t great. And it doesn’t change the fact that I think they are in for some mediocre seasons going forward if they don’t change course.  They are a soft, inconsistent team with serious holes.  Those kind of teams go 8-8.

Relax bud, I'm just trying to keep in light in here.  Too much other "stuff" going on in the world to get upset over our favorite football team.  Fly, Eagles, Fly! :Eagle_smiley:

Nothing special or anything, but he had separation. Of course that might have been because the corner had the LB underneath.

Yeah he was open there.

Thanks for posting the updates this morning by the way!

I actually predict 2 big catches from JJAW this week (probably a TD).

I'm not a JJAW optimist and I don't want him to be part of this offense, but I think the opposing D will test and exceed the limits of how much you can ignore a player on the field.  Even the Freddie Mitchells, Agholors, Reggie Browns, Jordan Matthews, Basketts, Hollins, Gibsons had their moments....well, moment (singular), in some cases.

But I think JJAW's comes on Sunday.

Of course it matters! You can't continue being a slightly above average team and just accept that. And look what's happening now. They do not have the cap space because Carson is on his big deal and we don't have the young talent to give us options.

Super Bowl win in 2017 and winning seasons since

So is Doug blaming Herbig for the lack of roll-outs?

It appeared that they preferred to roll with Desean/Reagor/Ward, with Hightower spelling Desean.

It looked like JJAW was in a similar role as Hollins in 2017.  Lots of blocking from the slot and the occasional look.

I think "he" is Doug, not Nate Herbig.

So I thought Nate Gerry played decently Sunday. Thoughts?

The LBs and Gerry seemed to hold up well.

Question for those of you who watch every game on Sundays...

Do the Rams have a bad CB situation outside of Ramsey?  They certainly appear to have a bunch of no-names with empty resumes.  And you don't trade 2 first round picks for a CB when you have confidence in your secondary.

I think the key to this game is the utilization of Ramsey and consistently winning the other matchups.

Will Ramsey float, will he cover Desean a lot? Ertz?  Reagor?  It's fair to assume Ramsey is going to shut down his guy on almost every matchup.  Wentz isn't going to have a lot of time to go through progressions.  I wouldn't waste a single millisecond staring down anyone covered by Ramsey.

If their secondary is pretty thin, I'd expect Ramsey on an island with Hill getting generous cheating safety help.  That may leave some big opportunities for TE's up the seam or for someone like Hightower to break through deep as the #3 WR.

At least he's finally evolving towards the slot, which I've wanted for him since his rookie training camp.  That's the final resting place for all our bad WR draft picks, but it's also his best chance to stick.

I think he missed an assignment on the long scramble by Haskins and maybe misplayed a third down pass to Thomas.  But overall, he didn't seem like a liability.

They should tell Wentz to throw it away if the pass play is not there.  He is trying to hold on the ball for the play to develop.  Our OL can't hold their blocks long enough for that unfortunately.  Be smart and live to play.

With Miles back (I think), the run game should also help.  Screen pass should be in order.  They want the RBs to have decent pass catching skills for a reason.  Both Scott and Clement are fine in that area.

He missed those 2 plays, but he actually made a few other splash plays.  I thought the LB's were fine at worst and quite good at best.

They are certainly getting more value out of their LB's than any other unit on the team.  Their top 3 LBs have cost them 0.

That’s a shame, really.  The likelihood of them getting it or spreading it while they were sitting outside, (if wearing masks) at least 6-7 feet away from other groups is minimal, imo.

They likely went out somewhere after the game, at a bar or restaurant. Likely indoors and no masks, and could have gotten it there or may have gotten it prior to the game.  Just an educated guess.

Ramsey seemed to be matched up on Gallup more than anybody. My guess is that he will be matched up on Ertz Sunday rather than a wideout, since he is a bigger corner and I would stop Ertz as the first step to beating this team.

Can't wait for either Penn State to start taking meaningful snaps OR for the coming win this week.

Anything to buffer against this onslaught of negativity. Yes that's right Eagles fans, the 2020 Eagles have "no chance" of winning the NFC this year.  Of course they do.

Where do we find all the "lonely people" ?
