The bad news Howie will draft it.

I wouldn't be so sure on that

I guess Doug wasn't lying when he doubled down on saying Hurts didn't get more reps.

This is the type of season that makes it tough to keep Howie.

9 runs by the RBs, 1 designed QB run. 56 pass plays called

Great balance Doug

This sums it all. You have a struggling QB, and a RB averaging almost 6ypc and you start the game with 3 straight passes? SMH

Hoping Howie and Doug are gone tonight or tomorrow

I don't want Schwartz back either but I don't mind just letting his contract expire at the end of the season

Doubtful.  The next two games are likely losses and Washington is looking "ok" with Alex Smith at the helm.  The Giants will win a few more games as well.

Cowboys game will be different with Dalton in there. I don't think they win that one

And you're an Eagles fan?

Yes, I'm not 12 years old. I'm mature enough to be able to enjoy watching players on other teams not named the Eagles.

Did Avery play a single defensive snap?

Hell of a move Howie. Kid actually looked alright in the limited amount of snaps he’s gotten.

The reality is the team is stuck with Wentz. Wentz may be broken and not fixable but there’s better coaches and GMs.

It's a pretty deep wr class so if they don't go wr in the 1st rd, I would like a guy like Surtain and maybe a guy like Marshall drops to the 2nd. WR is still a big need. Jeffery, Djax, Godwin will all be gone. Watkins might end up on the PS again and Ward is meh. Not to mention Jjaw being nothing but a turd

I definitely agree, I'm not happy at all with the receivers or the way they use them. I do like Fulgham and think Reagor is a slot, if we're lucky, but I lose a little more hope each and every week with him. But to me, I want to get a top defense and a top o-line. We are very far away from both of those things happening. I'm trading back in round 1 to stay in the top fifteen. We need quantity AND quality. I think staying in the top fifteen plus adding quality ammo helps that cause greatly.

Jesus

So one of our TDs came on a missed intentional grounding call. The other was a Hail Mary. Basically did nothing offensively against a terrible pass D.

Credit to Eagles defense, they really balled out tonight minus Metcalf stuff.

If offense was competent Eagles could of won that game

His inability to create separation is concerning. Every time the ball goes to him he has someone blanketing him.

I'd say yeah except there isn't one receiver on the team creating separation.

The route combos the play calling Wentz the o line all have a bigger hand in the WRs sucking than the WRs do imho

I still can't believe Wentz won't throw downfield. Doug just can't scheme it up.

He's been horrible, there's no sugarcoating it. However, is there any QB that the Eagles will be able to get this offseason that makes this team better with this coaching staff and roster? I don't think so.

This year's 1st round pick (top 10 pick), this year's 2nd round pick, next year's 1st round pick, Cox and Barnett for this year's 1st overall.  (Trevor Lawrence).

(I'm joking but I might consider it if Wentz continues to regress).

100% agree with this.  He’s been dreadful on a bad team but moving on from him with the same front office does nothing to fix this team.

Trevor Lawrence wouldn’t fix this team.

I've never been a fan of trading back in the first. We should be drafting from 4-8 I'd say. Depending where they end up, I wouldn't trade outside the top 10. You know Lawrence and Fields will most likely go 1 and 2. Sewell should follow. Maybe someone trades up for a Trey Lance. If they trade back a spot or 2 I'm ok with that.

With some of you speculating what type of player we should be drafting, it depends on where we end up drafting.  I would like to see another QB hungry team offer us to trade down a bit where we collect another 2 picks (and nothing for 2022 unless it's a 1st rounder) where we can get that OG from that stinkin' bum school in Ohio.  OGs usually don't rate a top 10 pick, but in the 12-15 range it would be good value, especially considering we really need IOL help.  You have to wonder 2 things:  1-Is Kelce going to want to play a couple more seasons on a team in rebuild mode and 2-Can Brooks come back and be both fit and dominant?  We need so much help that picking up a couple extra picks is what we need to restock the depth of the team with young players since we're going to have to make some tough choices on some of our older players on big contracts.

I think there's only one course of action moving forward.

I will say this one thing about Wentz...right now, he's the worst starting QB in the NFL.  In my entire life, I have never seen an NFL qb play as badly as he has, for as long as he has, without getting yanked.

With that said, they are stuck with him for another 2 years.  Things have become SO dysfunctional that we don't know what talent we have.  It's unknowable.  Not the smartest blogger, not the best GM in the NFL, certainly not our next GM....NONE of them can pretend to know what talent we do or do not have.  Everything is being consumed by this dumpster fire.  There may be good pieces in here, maybe, maybe not.

You just need to bring in a new HC and a new GM.  Implement a new system, waive goodbye to the 12 personnel offense that lives at the LOS, see what players an unbiased GM/HC combo want to keep versus which ones they are happy to discard.

Give them an offseason to work with Wentz, hope for the best, and draft a qb in 2022 if it doesn't work out.

But you need a new HC with a mulligan year to see what we have...because it's just not even possible to evaluate that right now.  There's a reason the blog is going in circles playing the blame game.

Which one of you said Doug wasn't going to have Wentz throw tonight because of the weather?

Looks like Doug took that personal

Not right away but he would be the guy to build a new team around, without question....if we decide to go that route.

What coach is going to want to be forced to play Wentz and look like a bust himself right out the gate?

I have a question.  If we trade Wentz are we still stuck with that big cap hit? Or does that follow him?

It’s unclear to me where the blame lies but have we seen one roll out and deep shot? Have we seen Reagor running deep in the slot?
