I’m not so sure the Eagles value those grind it out power backs. Sanders theoretically can do the job, but his skill set is more of an all-around weapon.

Scott showed some toughness against the Giants, but he’s not a powerful guy. Clement was a nice RZ player in 2017, but his value is in being a balanced back who before Sunday was pretty good in pass pro. Huntley has zero power.

for a bunch you years it was easy to point to most of their free agent signings and draft picks and say that they did prefer power backs. But lately theyre overly obsesses with finding a sproles replacement. I think its biting them hard now that our only legitimate RB was injured and they had no viable backup as a true RB. Hopefully they do sign Freeman.

Interesting. I'd be fine with him in Dallas. He's a distraction, heavy cap number, cost them draft resources and completely unnecessary there.

Can see him being effective there

That's awesome.  Nice thing is any shop can screen print Barnett on there as they used pretty basic font for those uniforms.

Somewhat true. I have a wentz one that it was originally an 11. But was in dire need of fixing up. The lettering guy to be careful with certain fonts the W they used can be different and some other letters.

Coasta Carolina. Reminds me of when I went to Myrtle with my bros and got so tuned up the first night. Me and my buddy avoided a cover charge by sneaking under a tent and popping up right at the DJ booth. Later that night I Ralphed all over the hotel room.

I find their plans for Alshon Jeffery to be so poorly thought out.

First, they unnecessarily extend him last year after drafting his replacement in the draft.  Then Howie tries (and fails) to trade him very shortly after that extension.  After a horrible year in which the wheels have fallen off, he THEN adds a major injury to accelerate his decline (the only acceleration Jeffery is doing).

This left Howie with an interesting dilemma.  Cut him before June, which I had argued for...and endure an absolutely absurd and humiliating $26.1m dead cap number to Jeffery.  But...we can afford it.  That moves takes exactly $10.7m from this year's cap and saves it in 2021, when we are going to have problems.  They would be free and clear of Alshon's contract in 2021 and would have $10.7m more space than they will now have.

Option B, the door Howie did take...Keep him on the roster to the tune of $15.4m.  When they release him this offseason, they will now have a $10.7m cap hit for 2021.

So here's the question....why on Earth would you be willing to pay $10.7m of 2021 money for whatever handful of games he's going to give us in 2020?  And I find myself arriving at only 1 answer...it's less of an admission of failure than cutting him and paying $26.1m for nothing.  So instead, they'll pay him $15.4m to sit inactive and then clog the offense this year while paying him $10.7m to do nothing next year.  Just a touch easier to brush under the rug.

Really shouldn't be anything divisive about Howie's draft performance.

Six of one, half dozen of the other, Howie has stashed $20M toward next year's cap, so you'd just be burning it up this year, instead he's paying part of it this year and the rest next year.

My old man was a big dude.  He used to answer the door when guys would come over to see my sisters, pretending to eat nails.  He was crazier than me.

my father father once picked up my little sister and her bf from her job.  boyfriend rode home in the trunk as a "preview for the day you break her heart."  He was allowed over until 11 by my mother.  He sat in the kitchen, looking into the family room where they were, with an alarm set for 11.  When the clock struck he stood up, clapped once, and yelled, "OK, slim, F off."  Another time when my mother wasnt there he opened the door, told the kid straight up "i dont like you," had him stand with his forehead against the wall next to the door, asked permission to search the kid, patted him down, pulling out his wallet, keys, etc, and dropped it all on the floor as he searched him.  Then he told the kid not to move, took his keys and went out to the driveway, searched his car, then moved it to the street.  walked back in past the kid, dropped his keys on the floor in the pile and said nothing except "thats where your car goes."  My old man was one of a kind.

Parking in the driveway is a bold move.

Dont forget the classic

This is not a knock against Zach Ertz but just watching DG move he is so much smoother as an athlete.  Would love to see some side by side highlights to show this.  Ertz is very choppy with his steps, almost seems top heavy, knock his feet out and he goes down.  DG just seems to have much better body control.

Also, Kist over the last few months is challenging ESP for biggest dbag.

Here's another issue with this young OL who failed us on Sunday...

Last year, we traded up for Dillard in round 1.  LT of the future, first round talent.  He had 1 week to prepare for a start at RT...and completely humiliated himself in 30 minutes.  Afterwards, the draft pick defense initiative somewhat understandably (although with some overstatement) rolled out the horrible travails of any OL, let alone a rookie, changing positions and flipping sides.

Yet after that traumatic event in which they misjudged a first round pick, they had Pryor, a far less athletic SIXTH round pick, at LT, RT, and RG in camp.  They have 7th round pick Mailata, who has never played football in his life, bouncing back and fourth between LT and RT.  We've got Driscoll playing God knows how many positions on the OL.

So it's apparently understandable that the flip turned 1st rounder Dillard into a crumpled heap of game-losing uselessness, but we can ask our less talented, less vetted, more unknown depth to do the same thing and then wonder why they aren't panning out?  Stoutland, I'm looking at you on this one.

Problem here is Dillard never played anything but LT so a week wasn’t enough.  Both Pryor and Driscoll have experience at both G and T.  Mailata’s value is at swing T, so they have trained him and played him at both positions.  They have been training Pryor at LT too. So you Dillard comparison after one week is apples to oranges.

I see shocker's making friends in here too.

Every time I hear Herbig all I can think of is Man Bear Pig.
